We continue our field guide with everyone’s favorite Luo American Baldilocks

She is absolutely correct about Col West. Incredible is not a word strong enough to describe him, but then again she is a very perceptive person.

Q: How do we know that Global Warming is a religion to Bernie Saunders?

There are just some things that are just too funny. In terms of timing for this kinds of stuff we are in Baghdad Bob at the airport territory.

Apparently Barbara Boxer who unlike Bernie might actually have to fight for re-election is ahead of him on the curve here.

Jeff Quinton
Jeff Quinton works at the Americans United for Life. I had the pleasure and the honor of meeting him at CPAC. He has excellent taste being a lover of baseball and a lover of life.

He talked to me daily and cares deeply about the unborn, he seems determined to make a difference for us here in Fitchburg.

How can you thank someone who is willing to help carry your fight and cares enough to check with a stranger every day on it? Well I can encourage you to follow his tweets and to check out the blog he contributes to.

So Jeff, thanks from the bottom of my heart. I am proud to call you my friend.

The world has ended, whatever shall we do, dig up Ted Kennedy and put him back in the seat, send Coakley up here, let loose the hounds of hell etc etc etc…

Let’s be blunt, against the worst candidate of any type I’ve ever seen, who had promised to advance a health care plan that even democrats that I talked to couldn’t stand he managed to get 52% of the vote. What do you think is going to happen in a general election against an effective candidate with a solid record and a bunch of other democrats on the ballot all needed to get themselves elected and/or re-elected?

Remember Mr. Brown is up for re-election in only two years. From everything that people I talked to said this type of vote will make a huge difference to them.

I’m figuring we will get him about 70-75% of the time, perhaps if we are lucky even 85%, if we can do that I’ll be satisfied, at least for now.

I think Massachusetts has the potential to change for the better this is not the last step but the first one, give us some time and amazing thing might happen all over the state.

I’m often told by people who don’t believe that we religious types take things that are coincidences and turn them into something more. In my opinion they are actually missing the little miracles that happen every day.

I had several of them at CPAC and in it’s preparation.

ITEM: Day I left for CPAC was Ash Wednesday, I accidentally missed mass near my house (got the time wrong) and had to drive across town. Managed to show up just in time to get Mass and ashes, since I was shy confession I didn’t receive but the priest was kind enough after mass to hear confession and then allow me to receive communion. Being armed with that much grace turned out to be very important when I needed some oomph to get through a long 42 hour stretch of sleeplessness and the dangers therein.

ITEM: Couldn’t find my Knights of Columbus Rosary looked everywhere for it and was very annoyed, The wife found a beautiful spare Rosary but I was still annoyed as I took it. Pam Geller noted (and I came off snarky since I was still annoyed that it wasn’t what I was looking for) yet after I ran into Simon Deng and got a personal interview I discovered to my delight that he was Catholic. Since the Rosary was not my official one I could give it to him. Less than one hour after I got home, the missing beads turned up in my coat pocket that I’m sure I checked over and over again.

ITEM: You might not know it but I have had a very hard time with Brown Scapulars. Mine keep breaking and wearing and have been a real pain. I haven’t been able to find them locally until last week where I found a little shop that carries them. Seeing how I burn through them I bought 4. Managed to get the one I was wearing blessed and wore it to CPAC and lo and behold discovered a Catholic there who had a great need for it.

One of the weakest parts of my faith has been my prayer life, this has been a constant problem for me, however through a chance meeting re-kindled said prayer life and It’s been roaring forward ever since.

ITEM: As you might know I’ve been involved in the fight against Planned Parenthood in Fitchburg. As you might also be aware I only managed to get the funds I needed to attend just in time to book my travel On my trip I encountered people from the American Life League Americans united for life who might be able to help.

ITEM: On Friday a blogger friend was in a panic as a vital computer component seemed to have vanished. I took the moment to pray to St. Anthony who is the patron of lost items. Within a few minutes the item was found and the panic ended.

Item: I don’t even remember how it came up but a particular blogger managed to confirm something my wife has been telling me, (and I’ve been ignoring) that has serious potential danger that I’ve pooh poohed. Because of this confirmation I am on my way to take action that I had not bothered with as before.

And all this happens while still enjoying CPAC and managing to do some decent blogging.

Now many might see these as tiny blessings, but life is full of tiny things that turn into great things. All of these blessings will be passed on with interest.

Update: Yes I mixed up my pro life organizations what an idiot I am, but as I correct it I want to give a HUGE shout out to Jeff Quinton who treated our situation in Fitchburg like the crisis it is. I am in his debt and it will not be forgotten!

As I said I have an awful lot of video yet to go up. Meet Katherine Jenerette.

The real story here isn’t so much the interview, the story was listening to her talk to the person next to me afterwords just about family, life and kids. This isn’t just a good candidate, this is a good person. Any neighborhood she and her family moves into automatically has it’s value increase, because she is exactly the type of people you want living next to you.

I’ve saw an awful lot of that at CPAC, just plain NICE people.

I should also point out that she is running in the 1st District in South Carolina. What a lucky district to have such an excellent choice among the field.

Baldilocks in profile.

A good face

I don’t think her head is so big, there just isn’t a lot hair to contrast it.

I really wish I talked to her more. There was just not enough time in the day to make the difference.

I don’t care what the disagreement was I can’t believe that even Mr. Johnson could have banned her if he had ever met her.

Lets see what everyone has to say.

Joe asks him about the young people who supported him.

“When I go to the campus’ I’m encouraged, but when I go to the hill…”

Joe: “Does the Republican party get it yet?…”

Ron Paul: “I don’t think so.” He goes on about not cutting the foreign aid or the “empire” He hits the federal reserve.

Capeheart: How do you translate that energy to the actual polls?

Paul: In a few years they will be in the job market and will care. I’m more interested in changing philosophy than policy

Sorkin: Are we ever going to get financial reform?

Paul: “Lets hope not because they would make things a lot worse…Pretending regulations would make things better is incorrect…let the market regulate it.”

Melissa: This seems like a stunning overstatement about young people. Is this really about their perspective or are you just a “character”.

Paul: Revolutions don’t come without the support of the young. Any time I see a young person I give them a copy of the constitution.

Joe quotes his book quoting Paul: “Ironically by transferring risk the government risks a crash” quote is from 2003

Paul: I’m competing with Keynes economic system every day with the idea of the free market.

Joe: Would Romney make a difference?

Paul: At the moment no, but if the movement grows then the pressure will grow. He is certainly right about Romney, he will go were the people take him.

One of the big advantages that Paul has in a setting like this is that he comes across very reasonably. He actually has a great potential to take “liberal” votes due to his isolationism in terms of the anti-war absolutists. I do think that MSNBC likes to promote him because it gives Republicans fits.

…in fact it was so important that my little clips are woefully inadequate to describe them.

Lucky for you that you can get the whole shabang here thanks to Pam.

You go watch it, it is an incredibly important 2 hours.

And if you missed it there is a short follow up interview I did with Simon featuring Barbara Espinosa of American Freedom here.

One of my great regrets of CPAC was not getting a chance to say goodbye to Pam or Val Pierio. Don’t think for one moment that the dictators and killers that they face down wouldn’t like to make them go away permanently, but they do it anyway…

…yet they still have such a love of life that any room either is in becomes almost a party. Those who attack them are not only wrong, but they deprive themselves of great company.
