If like Tiger Woods he decided to continue to chase after marriage then that’s another story, but even age differences before marriage make a difference make less of a difference. What were the various parents saying? Did they consent?
Of course, that consent might be a whole less forthcoming if unlike my close friend whose rather successful 2nd marriage is to a woman young enough to be his daughter, he is still playing the field after the fact. And a less mature woman is more likely to be used by an older person than a woman with more experience.
When you are a guy in the back 9 of life, admiring attention by beautiful women, particularly a younger one can turn your head and boost your ego. Any guy understands this. It’s how one handles such attention that defines character.
Likewise a lot of commentary has been made about the “hotness” of his wife. Let me give a clue to the uninformed on marriage. A “hot” wife is something that might produce envy among other guys but if you want to make your fellows jealous, get a cool car, you have to live with a person. None of us know their home life and frankly it’s not our business.
One must remember that none of the actions of Weinergate at this point involve any actual illegality by the congressman. It’s been all a question of appearance and that congressman has through his inept handling of simple questions has turned it into more as Stacy put it:
There may be other high-heeled shoes dropping, if any ladies on Capitol Hill have tales to tell. The press-corps piranhas smell blood in the water and Weiner deeply offended Washington journalists by trying to stonewall his way out of this mess, and called a CNN producer a “jackass,” to boot.
If I was advising Anthony Weiner I would suggest getting the truth out quickly and taking his medicine. If he still will not then the question becomes: What on earth can be more embarrassing that what has already come out? Or is there something more than “embarrassment” that he fears exposing himself to?
