Tomorrow’s guest is the author of the Stop Shouting Blog which contains one of the single best conservative posts of all time.

As always you can listen to the live stream at wcrnradio.com

I suspect we will also find time to give away another Linguini’s gift certificate.

And right after the show join me at the St. Anthony di Padua Italian Festa in Fitchburg mass

Although I’ve never formally been introduced to Sarah Palin I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her very close up twice, once at a political event with my youngest in NH in 2008 at a high school and once at the Tea Party Express Rally in April in 2010.

I took the liberty of noting both the actions and reaction of Palin and the people who were so adamantly opposed to her.

At both events Palin’s demeanor was calm, her presentation was clear, the impromptu moments were moments of clarity and she seemed in every way (except slightly odd-looking hips), completely normal.

Meanwhile her detractors tended to be shrill and angry, I remember approaching one 17 year old girl at the NH who was with a group led by a teacher shouting rather nasty stuff at her. I ask why she thought Palin was unfit to be VP, and she answered:

“Because her daughter got pregnant without being married!”

You read that right, that was a teenage liberal democratic case against Palin.

In Boston we had folks like Larry who derided all Tea party folks as white racists and one kid who decided to egg Palin’s bus. We had less anger but a smug sense of superiority.

This more than anything else impressed me about Palin, her normalcy.

Yet despite this normalcy (or maybe because of it) the left and the Media has obsessively pursued her in the hopes of bringing her down and now today the Palin e-mails make her look….Normal. Update: Video added

And here lies the MSM’s dilemma, if they had simply researched this stuff themselves instead of the snipe hunt they could have delayed spreading the knowledge that Palin simply did her job, and did it well. But because of the huge build up they find themselves forced to release info to the public that directly contradict the template they have spent years trying to create.

The frustration level must be incredible, perhaps like Joseph Cannon who still insists Rep Weiner is being blackmailed by Breitbart into admitting stuff he didn’t do (no I’m not kidding about that) the media will conclude that Palin has somehow has manipulated the data.

I’m sure if the Daily Kos and Democratic underground can devote only a few more years of manpower to it they just might find something to stop her. Maybe.

Update:
Can’t help but think of this Dr. Who Quote and episode:

You know, the very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don’t alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that need altering.

The Face of Evil (part10) by tardismedia

the quote is at 6:13

I’m going to make a couple of assumptions here: married women don’t like being cheated on, women don’t like being sex slaves, and there’s more to life than screwing around.

Wintery Knight opines that women allow men to cheat: we simply do not hold men to high standards.  (Little Miss Attila and her commentariat have more.) He’s largely correct: women who stay with their husbands for power (e.g. Mrs. Clinton, Mrs. Shriver) condone their husbands’ infidelity.  Likewise, it’s impossible to commit adultery without another willing partner (absent rape), and the women who sleep with married men are making his infidelity possible.  My disagreements with him are limited: I don’t hold much against women like Jenny Sanford and Elin Nordegen, who were devoted, caring wives who kicked their cheating husbands to the curb.  If a man cannot be compelled to stay faithful for the sake of his own wedding vows, he may stay faithful because of fear that his wife will find out and leave him.

It is not just women who have personal relations with men who encourage cheating and infidelity. In Kuwait, a woman activist suggested that adultery could be eliminated by the legalisation of sex slavery:

We want our youth to be protected from adultery,” said Al-Mutairi, suggesting that these maids could be brought as prisoners of war in war-stricken nations like Chechnya to be sold on later to devout merchants.

This is not religiously forbidden,” she added, indicating that Caliph Haroun Al-Rashid (766-809 AD) was married to one woman but possessed 200 concubines.

(Hat tip: Michael Graham.) Rather than putting female prisoners of war in, say, a female prison until the end of the war, or given asylum in a different country, we should take these poverty-stricken, suffering women and sell them into rape.  That way, a powerful man doesn’t have to worry about having a stain on his immortal soul; the only cost to this is the sanity, health, dignity, and integrity of a poor woman from a war-torn nation.  Note to Al-Mutairi: perhaps the prohibitions on adultery are there because otherwise, men would feel free to abuse their positions to take advantage of women who do not have their advantages in society.

I’m sorry if the two biggest major American newspapers organs to promote liberalism and the Democratic party are recruiting people all over the world for the express purpose and hope of finding dirt on Sarah Palin, we have to assume that:

1. The left fears Sarah Palin in the way that Satan fears Christ.

2. Their “Paul Revere” attacks a failure.

3. They consider the Bus Tour and the upcoming movie a game changer that has to be countered at all costs.

4. They have decided that it is worth the risk of driving GOP opponents of Palin into her camp on the assumption they won’t vote for Obama anyway, like so:

The same press that wouldn’t vet Barack Obama, and barely questions 2400-page policies is looking for the public to find dirt on a private citizen who has been out of office for two years? She is so in their heads, and their hate is so naked, that the WaPo and NYTimes don’t realize how destructive this move is going to be to their own selves. When even Palin non-fans and fence-sitters (like me) are offended by this — you’re talking EPIC fail!

5. Along the same lines as above, the mainstream media is so anxious, so obsessed with Sarah Palin’s destruction that they are willing to use a tactic that even the most Pollyannaish media supporter can not deny the bias inherent in it. In fact a tactic so destructive that they desperately tried to deny it…

“The New York Times has not asked for readers to help with an investigation,” NYT spokeswoman Danielle Rhoades Ha said in an e-mail to The Daily Caller, pointing TheDC to a specific news story about the Palin e-mails’ release.

…even though the request appeared in their own blog

“We’re asking readers to help us identify interesting and newsworthy e-mails, people and events that we may want to highlight. Interested users can fill out a simple form to describe the nature of the e-mail, and provide a name and e-mail address so we’ll know who should get the credit. Join us here on Friday afternoon and into the weekend to participate.”

In one respect this reminds me of the early days of the Weiner stuff. He was convinced that the MSM would cover for him and attack Breitbart but what he didn’t understand was that any Twitter user could understand what his actions meant and it was a simple matter to explain it to others.

In the same respect any person who has ever sent e-mails or used a computer understands what is going on here and why and for those few who do not regularly use e-mail it is easily explained..

The amount of sympathy this is going to generate for Palin among the not involved is considerable and will not be easily countered. Even the attempt to spin something complicated that they might find will still pale before the idea that the media has decided that recruit hundreds of people worldwide to go through someone’s e-mail with the express purpose of destroying them.

This is the death knell for the anti-Palin movement’s credibility, and a disaster for every single GOP opponent to her who will be forced to denounce it.

Amazing, simply amazing!

Update: Speaking of Amazing, Morning Joe mentions the release of the e-mails (Mika treats it as a non-story) and totally ignores the NYT & Washington post “recruitment” of people to go through them. “Journolist” lives!

Update: You know what happens when you schedule a post for 5 a.m. that you write before midnight, your co-blogger / friend has the same thought.

The Huffington Post expects to start receiving some of these emails this afternoon. We need your help going through this mass of documents to find notable passages and references to pass on to our reporters. This afternoon, we’ll post the documents online and provide a place for you to leave notes on the emails you see.

In fairness I don’t expect better than the Huff-Po but then again, they are not just Huff-Po they are AOL Now. Lovely! How much money did they spend to compromise their brand?

My inbox had this charming email in it, from the HuffPo:

Today, the U.S. media will get its first glimpse of more than 24,000 emails sent and received by Sarah Palin during her tenure as governor of Alaska. These emails were originally requested by journalists, citizens and other groups in 2008, when Palin was Sen. John McCain’s running mate on the Republican presidential ticket. They are being released now after years of delays.

Underneath, there is a copy of the link with “Sign up now to help us search through Sarah Palin’s emails”.  Let me remind leftists of a few things: Sarah Palin is not in office.  She left office because of the slew of ethics complaints against her – frivolous complaints that were bankrupting her family and costing the state time and resources.  She is not a current candidate for any political office.  She is a private citizen whose church has been torched, who has received death threats, whose neighbours one summer were a few creepy ‘reporters’ writing an expose on her.  A private citizen whose emails will now be made public.  Those emails will be read by tens of thousands of whackadoodles with nothing better to do with their time than dig up dirt on a grandmother.
How messed up in the head are these people?
