Now, back to the bad news. The first woman elected as president of the United States has to be exceptional. Superior. The smartest, best educated and most rational person in the room. So, not Palin, not Bachmann. Why? Because failure is not an option.
Never Mind that Palin had an 80+ rating in her state before McCain picked her for Veep and the left decided she must be destroyed (unsuccessfully by the way). Never mind that in blue Minnesota Bachmann wins election after election and her Tea Party Caucus is the single most important group in the house. They are not good enough even through Bachmann is winning debates in rooms full of men.
What little credibility her argument might have hoped to command disappears with a line more suited for the first weekend in April than the first weekend in July:
Barack Obama carries that burden for African Americans. Happily, he carries it well. Regardless of your politics, you have to admit (really, you have to!) that he is well-educated, competent, rational, even-tempered and intelligent.
He is so competent that Blacks voters tell him to his face they are exausted of defending him
His economic stimulus program (opposed by Palin & Bachmann) is so successful that business receiving funds rather than hiring as promised go bankrupt:
And apparently the left outside of Cynthia Kounaris thinks so much of him that he is begging for $5 bills and can’t generate sufficient support on TV shows on MSNBC where democrats outnumber republicans 10-1.
But he flunks a more basic test. I talked to two women last week who were staying with relatives because they had lost their house. When I asked them about the president they told me, the president thinks he is a movie star and is not interested in them.
I would challenge Cynthia to come with me door to door to businesses in blue Massachusetts and repeat that line about Obama. I suspect even if her leftist beliefs are a religion the looks she would get would from those small business owners would convert her fast.
