Obama lied about a central fact about his own life which he used — powerfully — to push health care reform.
…more proof of the Virginian’s and Stacy’s thesis?
Perhaps, but between the president’s actions and her experiences in Wisconsin this year I’m more than satisfied with where she is and not all that concerned with where she was.
If the price for millions of Obama voters going my way in 2012 is them not admiring they were wrong in 2008, I’m cool with it. Particularly when they are first rate bloggers who I enjoy reading and will help to persuade plenty of others

One in five Tea Partiers voted for Obama. What remains to be seen is whether they will believe him the second time around, or whether Obama’s new campaign will have a “Read my lips, no new taxes” moment, in which Americans just think, “No, you lied to us once, shame on you, but you’re not lying to us again.”
I suspect the story about Obama’s mother is a carefully laid trap, much like the birth certificate.
