I have no idea how this will go but we will soon find out:
My Take, Cain, Santorum and Bachmann helped themselves, Rick Perry was bloodied, Romney stayed steady but not great, Huntsman hurt himself, Paul was Paul, Gingrich was solid.
A lot more substance than other debates, likely due to the tea party business.
9:49 p.m. Silly question about adding in, Gingrich hits on Tzars.
9:44 p.m. Huntsman’s answer to the women translated: “Let them die, not our problem.”, Perry agrees.
9:42 p.m. Santorum hits Paul HARD on 9/11. Paul is Paul, I’ll say this for him, he’s consistent.
9:39 p.m. Paul: “Difference between military and defense spending.”
9:38 p.m. Cain on energy independence not bad, Gingrich on defense spending.
9:37 p.m. Calls in-state tuition a states rights issue, a bad hit on him.
9:35 p.m. Romney almost gets it on the Latinos question.
9:33 p.m. Huntsman suggests Perry is treasonous for saying we can’t secure the border. Plays the License isn’t an ID card.
9:31 p.m. Bachmann don’t give taxpayer subsidies for breaking the law.

8:49 p.m. First non-tea party question, can you be pro-business and pro-worker at the same time?

8:47 p.m. Perry: “People aren’t coming to Texas because we’re overtaxing them.”
8:46 p.m. Ron Paul points out you don’t pay for people being allowed to keep their own money. Important line.
8:45 p.m. Perry talks tort reform, that’s why Romney will never be short of campaign money.

8:20 p.m. If I’m one of the other candidates I would ask directly are we part of this debate or not? Paul points out the Social Security money has been spent.
8:18 p.m. Perry given a chance to respond to Romney, are they going to play the Perry Romney show again?

8:15 p.m. Bachmann talks about keeping promise, Perry follows up asks about his op/ed guarantees benefits for existing seniors but been called Ponzi scheme long before me.
