Nazis Commies and Democrats in the gutter

For the last week I’ve been delighted to see demo­c­rat after demo­c­rat decide to throw their lot in with the Occupy Every­where pro­test­ers under the assump­tion that it would end up bit­ing them come elec­tion time.

My assump­tion is based on a 1936 book The Best Loved Poems of the Amer­i­can Peo­ple and the fol­low­ing entry on page 480 called: Judged by the com­pany one keeps:

One night in late Octo­ber,
when I was far from sober,
Return­ing with my load, with manly pride;
My feet began to stut­ter,
So I lay down in the gut­ter,
And a pig came up an’ lay down by my side;
A lady pass­ing by was heard to say:
‘You can tell a man who “boozes“
by the com­pany he chooses’
And the pig got up and slowly walked away.

And lo and behold, via Gate­way Pun­dit here comes the lady.

…and the Lady comes com­plete with screen shots and tweets in case the pages sud­denly come down.

Unlike the Pig in the story I don’t think the Democ­rats will be able to “get up slowly and walk away.” That’s because the Pig unlike the democ­rats, was smart enough not to make pub­lic state­ments of sup­port, march with, appear in pho­tos with or make procla­ma­tions of sol­i­dar­ity for the man in the gutter.

Although the MSM will likely decide that this isn’t news­wor­thy the new media will not let the Don­key get away with it as the pig did. I have a funny feel­ing that an ele­phant or two, maybe one say run­ning for re-​election for the US sen­ate in Mass­a­chu­setts might be ask­ing very loudly why Demo­c­ra­tic Can­di­dates are sup­port­ing a move­ment endorsed by two ide­olo­gies that together have a body count of inno­cents so large that rad­i­cal Islamists are paci­fists by comparison?

And that not even touch­ing on the anti­semitism, calls for vio­lence, spit­ting on US ser­vice mem­bers in uni­form, host­ing protests for Al-​Qaeda sup­port­ers etc etc etc.

I think they might also ask if they believe dona­tions to them should be tax-​deductible too.

I’d send Admi­ral Akbar to warn them, but I’d just as soon not.
