…with their customer base:
I guarantee it.
The photo comes from this site .
I contacted Men’s warehouse via their Phone and Mail support page at 1-800-851-6744. I talked to a nice girl named Ruby who transferred me to the advertising dept.
There was no answer there so I left a message with my phone number and e-mail contact. I’ll let you know if I hear back.
While you’re waiting feel free to kick into my November Fundraiser, details here.
Update: Did anybody at the location consider that this is a National Chain?
Update 2: It’s actually spelled Men’s Wearhouse, corrected in the title
Update: Both the Atlantic and Prudence Payne Papers who got an Instalanche (conrats)
The Atlantic reports that this is consistent with the CEO’s political views:
The store’s decision will likely meet with approval from the corporate HQ: George Zimmer, founder and chairman of Men’s Wearhouse, has repeatedly donated to Democratic candidates in multiple election cycles, including progressives like 2004 presidential candidate Howard Dean and Rep. Barbara Lee (Calif.).
And via Prudence we see that they are specifically endorsing this nationally:
We closed our store near Oakland City Hall today, for one day, to express the company’s concern for the issue of wealth disparity in our country. The issue affects our employees and customers across the political spectrum.
The reaction nationwide will determine what percentage the occupy movement actually are.
For myself, I won’t be buying anything at Men’s Wearhouse.
I guarantee it.

I would bet that most of their business comes from the 53% who actually have to pay taxes so this fake 99% can play in the parks. Occupy is a well organized, well funded, far reaching, “grass-roots” mobilization of dupes being used by the communist party, the socialist party, marxists, the nazi party, every leftist “community organization” you can think of, and backed by Obama and the former democratic party, and all the dictators of the world. We won’t be shopping at Men’s Wearhouse anymore or going to movies made specifically to “change” history.
Hey, Georgy, if you were giving away your goods, i wouldn’t set foot in any of your stores. EVER…….lets see if you can make a go of it, with just those anarchists buying from you. We know who you are and where you stand, now Georgy. Thanks for the heads up…….
I’ve let them know that they’ve lost a 20+ year customer for this foolishness….
I agree with Bob–I very much doubt many of the Occupiers purchase suits and ties with any regularity. Talk about s#*%ing where you eat! This is a really stupid business decision.
Not to be too snarky, but I bet that over 1% of their business comes from the evil top 1%, and I bet that at least half of their business comes from the top 20% – all of whom are trying to get into the top 1% or have been there.
You may as well put a sign up at Starbucks that maligns coffee drinkers.
Where will I get my three-piece suits!?!
