As you might know I’m an early riser. As I churn out my posts for the day I frequently check Memeorandum as per Rule 3
I kept my eye open till I left the house and found something very interesting there, or rather something very interesting that Wasn’t there. Can you guess (the answer is below the jump)
I looked high and I looked low but there wasn’t a single solitary story about the great “Starbucks Appreciation Day” yesterday.
No links, no photos no nothing it’s like it never happened.
You have to search for any mention, here is what I found in the Village voice:
But they have positive views on this particular topic, and a rally of support was important as a rebuke to the dummos who lined up to support Chick- Fil-A as flag-waving patriots for being so brave as to feel gays don’t deserve equal rights.
Well, I went to the Starbucks on Astor Place a little while ago and there were people there, but it wasn’t swarming.
There were about 18 gay-positive coffee lovers on line–a decent amount–and 40-50 folks scattered throughout the establishment.
But it didn’t feel like a happening.
It was OK, but it was hardly Chick Fil-A-MAZING.
You mean in New York they couldn’t manage any kind of anything? NEW YORK!?
There is failure and there is epic failure, this is epic failure.
Then again, maybe they were afraid I or Stacy McCain or someone like us would be at Starbucks to cover the event, after all we can’t discount the possibility of the outbreak of yet another case of fedoraphobia
This disease might be more widespread than I thought!
DaTechGuy’s Summer Fundraiser is still in progress, as yet the Center for Disease Control has no program to research the dread disease of Fedoraphobia. Your hit of DaTipJar will not only help solve my transportation issues but will be one more step in the quest to find the case and cure of Fedoraphobia among the left.
