Roadtrip: Fishkill NY 11:32 AM Nan Hayworth Office

I’m sit­ting right now in the Fishkill offices of Con­gress­women Nan Hay­worth wait­ing to hear back from cam­paign offi­cials con­cern­ing her race here in NY-​18.

Oddly enough I stayed at the local Days Inn under a mile from here

but when I found out Zilla of the Resis­tance who I hoped to visit with was in a local hos­pi­tal I decided to swing up first to see her and how she is doing.

This was a bit of a shock to me but not as much of a shock to those who have falsely claimed that Zilla either was not sick or not even a woman

You know I’m always hop­ing for a tip jar hit (and I’ll ask for one below) but if you can only afford to give to one of us, I think Zilla could use it more.

From the Hos­pi­tal I headed back to Fishkill and saw the Hay­worth Office where they staff kindly allowed me some space to work:

As a rule I don’t take yard signs as they are most valu­able in the district.

Hayworth’s dis­trict is small com­pared to some of the large one far­ther north:

But the fight is just as tough, the left has pre­dictably been using their stan­dard “War on Women” lines, the fact that Nan Hay­worth is not only a woman but a med­ical doc­tor doesn’t seem to have caused any kind of rip­ple in this non­sense. It cer­tainly doesn’t seem to faze the over­whelm­ingly female staff that I met in the office.

There is how­ever a real inter­est­ing issue con­cern­ing this race. Nan’s oppo­nent Sean Mal­oney who appar­ently is look­ing for a spot in the group Man­hat­tan Trans­fer since he has done is best to try to con­vince the vot­ers of the dis­trict that he has trans­ferred him­self to this dis­trict from Man­hat­tan, but two days ago dur­ing the Debate on Tues­day bragged about being involved in a com­pany that cre­ated 100’s of jobs.

It is an effort to change the com­plex­ion of a race that RCP has +7 for Hay­worth at the moment but I sus­pect this boast might have costs as appar­ently this com­pany has more to it than meets the eye, in fact it has more to it that some folks on the left might not want in front of the vot­ers eyes…but that for my next post.
