ReadabilityThe American People Get the Government They Deserve
A large crowd of people followed Jesus, including many women who mourned and lamented him. Jesus turned to them and said:
“Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children, for indeed, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed.‘At that time people will say to the mountains, ‘Fall upon us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ for if these things are done when the wood is green what will happen when it is dry?”
Luke 28:27 – 31
“He was free, then. It had all be brought out into the open, and he had gotten by with it. This seems to have had a liberating effect on Chase’s activities”
Bill James on Hal Chase
There have been more than a few people who I’ve talked to how have teased me a bit at the outcome of the election. That’s fine. It turned out I was as wrong as I could be and misjudged the American People or at least how they were spread out since the popular vote in this election was razor-thin. so if folks want to hit me on it that’s fine, the consequence of that wrong prediction will be some embarrassment, I can handle that.
Unfortunately for the American people, while I made a mistake in terms of predictions and in reading the poll results they made a mistake in terms of decisions.
They lived through the last for years of the Obama administration and still re-elected him.
They lived though the jobless recovery under the Obama administration and still elected him
They saw a successful attack on Benghazi on 9⁄11 no less with him as commander-in-chief and still elected him.
They’ve seen business’ close, and choose not to hire, and the whole ten years and STILL re-elected him.
Granted the GOP decided to nominate the weakest candidate in the field, a candidate unwilling to defend conservatism ideas boldly nor willing to attack. But even the people knew what they had, knew it wasn’t working and stuck with it.
The Democrats ran a campaign based on ladyparts and the American People decided to buy it, particularly American women, and like many women who choose to stay in a relationship that they KNOW is harmful the result is going to be just as catastrophic.
Apparently it’s going to have to get a lost worse before it gets better, and the people decided on the candidate who will certainly make it worse.
We conservatives will have to double our efforts to teach but the results of the next four years under Barack Obama will do that more effectively than anything else.
Experience keeps a dear school, yet Fools will learn in no other. Get ready America you are about to have a four-year course and the joys of socialism with a president who no longer has an incentive to pretend he is anything but the radical he has always been.
May you be Happy in the choice you have made because you’re not going to get another one for four years.

I do have a choice. I can move away. I can find a new home for the rest of my years, where my tax dollars will no longer go to support abortion the Islamic takeover of the Middle East and the world.
The election was stolen. We no longer live under the rule of law.
My contempt for those who voted for Obama, and for those who helped to steal the election, knows no bounds. I think that they should all go back to Africa, the apparent birthplace of all mankind – yes, even those voters who are white – especially if they are white. Not just anywhere in Africa, but one place in particular in Africa, namely Zimbabwe. While there, they should take a good long look around and see what happened to a once-civilized place that voted in a Third World dictator, namely Robert Mugabe. One man, one vote, one time…

Republicans thought the nation would vote against Obama. Instead, it voted against Republican culture wars.
Efforts to legalise gay marriage succeeded for the first time at the ballot box in several states.
Two states voted to make marijuana legal for recreational use.
This was liberal America showing up.
Republican strategists need to understand that they only won with two groups — white men, and seniors. That’s not enough. The party will need to drop its hard line on immigration to appeal to the crucial Latino vote in Florida.
They need to embrace equal marriage — the ship has sailed.
Most of all, they need to stand strong on women’s rights — and women.
The candidates are there. Senator Marco Rubio, of Florida. Chris Christie, working class Governor of deep blue New Jersey — a lot of Democrat votes for the Republican column.
And women — former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, star of the convention, and Susana Martinez, governor of New Mexico, an Hispanic woman Governor of a small swing state.
The most terrifying stat of all was this: Romney was trusted more on the economy — and it was the one issue that mattered MOST to Americans. But he still lost — because the Republicans have let themselves become the party of rich white men.
over 6 million less folks voted Obama but millions less voted Romney, one must sell conservatism like any other product. Romney ran away from it,

We certainly don’t want to John Birch style of government you deserve.
I should add that I’ve come up with a new life’s philosophy. Picture the usual Democrat Party voter. I don’t want to get specific but you can think of the types of people who generally vote Democrat. Their ages, preferences, appearances, etc.
If I ever have the chance to help them… I’m not going to. They believe in government assistance more than man helping his fellow man. So be it.
That means that if I have a chance to help a stereotypical Democrat voter… I won’t. Up to and maybe even including life and death situations. Won’t break any law, you understand, I simply won’t lift a finger to make life any better or easier for them. Stranded on the side of the road? Call Cash For Clunkers. Need a loan to cover your meds? Call Medicare. Or Sebellius. Want a ride out of town before the hurricane gets here? Call FEMA.
I mean, wouldn’t it be wrong of me to make them violate their principles by rendering my assistance? Wouldn’t the kinder, more compassionate thing be to simply tell them to call the government and offer my best wishes that things work out for them? That they’re in my thoughts (because they don’t believe in prayer)? That now they have the chance to put their faith in government to the test? I think so.
Votes cost something. Ideas matter. Worldviews have consequences. If you voted Obama, you had better hope your fate doesn’t ever depend upon my kindness, good will, compassion or sense of decency. Why? Because I don’t have those anymore. Because you’ve said you don’t believe in them. Because I’m a mean, coldhearted SOB. Because I hate you and everything you stand for. THAT’S why.
I said similar words to my family last night. We’re getting what we deserve. Rush said earlier today that, ideologically speaking, we are outnumbered in America now. I have no clue how you go from the 2010 midterms to this but we have so I can’t see how to disagree with him.
In the last thirty’ish years, I’ve seen my country at its best and its worst. All the same, I never thought I’d live to see it defeated.
But here we are.
“because you’re not going to get another one for four years.”
….If Ever.
Unfortunately, I think there is a good chance that you are right.
- Supreme Court
- Obama Care
- Czars
- “Flexibility”
- More executive orders
- Subordination of the US to the UN
- $10 gas at the pump
Depressing, indeed.
This clip sums up the day rather well…

@DaTechGuyblog
Romney was not a strong enough candidate, and Paul Ryan was the wrong choice and anchor to his campaign.
The people get the government they deserve, but what about those who didn’t want that government? What consolation do they get other than schadenfreude, which is no consolation at all? Is it wrong to feel like the ostracized kid you were in high school, mocked for one’s beliefs? That’s what I feel right now.
I seem to remember you repeatedly saying this wasn’t going to even be close. With the election over I guess I now at least now what blogs I can stop following and Twitter feeds I can unfollow.
@DaTechGuyblog Too bad the rest of us have to live with what a bare majority of the people truly deserve. Four more years of a declining US.
