Ted Cruz: Not Latino EFFECTIVE

I have been watch­ing since day 1 on Morn­ing Joe the “Destroy Ted Cruz” Brigade.

I have seen them hit and belit­tle Cruz, I saw them ignore his cam­paign when he won the pri­mary against GOP oppo­si­tion and from the very first moment when he stood up to be counted, I saw them paint Ted Cruz as some kind of lunatic that no self-​respecting per­son would dare support.

Glenn Reynolds talked about this a few days ago

they’re so anx­ious to destroy him because he’s Latino.

Well there are many rea­sons why they want to destroy Ted Cruz.

The Estab­lish­ment wanted to beat Ted Cruz in the pri­mary last year because he rep­re­sented con­ser­vatism rather than get along go along as Sarah Palin said in her endorse­ment back last May:

“Our shared goal isn’t just to change the major­ity in con­trol of the Sen­ate, but to assure prin­ci­pled con­ser­v­a­tives like you are there to fight for us.”

Both the GOP Estab­lish­ment and the left would love to destroy Ted Cruz because of that Palin Con­nec­tion as Cruz him­self brought up at CPAC when intro­duc­ing her

They hate him for his Tea Party Con­nec­tion because he gives the lie to the por­trayal of the group:

But the real prob­lem with Ted Cruz is some­thing deeper. He fought Hagel say­ing aloud things not spo­ken in polite com­pany:

In all of the words in all the cri­tiques of Ted Cruz by the left in gen­eral and MSNBC & Morn­ing Joe in par­tic­u­lar there is one word that I noticed was miss­ing from every state­ment hit­ting Sen­a­tor Cruz for his state­ments on Sen­a­tor Hagel:

False.

At CPAC he not only aban­doned the Teleprompter walk­ing in front of the podium to talk to the crowd:

deliv­er­ing lines with zing like on sequestration.

and I’ll always be haunted by the sight of Newt Gingrich’s ema­ci­ated face. It’s like Anne Hath­away in Les Mis­érables

and work­ing the crowd afterward:

very well

but the real thing that put the tar­get on his becomes evi­dent from the sud­den rever­sal of John McCain after Cruz’s involve­ment in the Rand Paul filibuster

and just a few days after his con­fronta­tion with Dianne Fein­stein…

…to the great dis­plea­sure of peo­ple like Gail Collins. The real tell is less than a week after this con­fronta­tion what is the story out of DC?

Sen­ate Major­ity Leader Harry Reid (D-​Nev.) has decided the fed­eral assault weapons ban will not be a part of the base bill and warned Tues­day an expan­sion of back­ground checks to cover pri­vate sales might not make the cut, either.

In fact it’s even worse

“Dianne has worked so hard on this,” Reid said, refer­ring to the ban’s spon­sor, Sen. Dianne Fein­stein (D-​Calif.). “She under­stands going back to the day she found the mayor dead in his office. I know that, but right now her amend­ment, using the most opti­mistic num­bers, has less than 40 votes.

think about it for a sec­ond, he said that ALOUD:

You know what the most amaz­ing part is? That Reid would actu­ally float this incred­i­bly lame num­ber instead of just say­ing “we didn’t have the votes” and leav­ing it at that.

The left and the MSM want to destroy Ted Cruz, They hate him for his Tea Party Con­nec­tion, his Sarah Palin con­nec­tion, His back­story, his Latino her­itage, his con­nec­tion to the Rand Paul fil­i­buster and his bat­tles with Hagel and Fein­stein but all of this would mean noth­ing if it wasn’t for one thing:

Ted Cruz is effec­tive and for that he must be stopped.

Well the good news is the amount on the ther­mome­ter increased by 100% in the last 24 hours. The bad news is that means it went from $10 to $20 which gets us to just under 7% of the weekly goal at the week’s halfway point.
