If you have been on my web site any time in the last week you likely noticed that my movie quotes have all been from the Magnificent Seven. There is a reason for this.
This year DaTechGuy on DaRadio blog has grown by leaps and bounds. The show has become syndicated now since February and the blog thanks to a lot of effort and you dear readers have managed to pay my mortgage for the house practically every month this year.
But while that is an incredible accomplishment it still only amounts to 36% of what I was making before Barack Obama was elected president. In order to get to the next level on my list of goals the time has come to take a second leap of faith.
So starting today I’d like to announce the arrival of DaTechGuy’s Magnificent Seven!
Seven count them Seven Magnificent writers and bloggers joining this site as paid contributors discussing topics big and strong on a daily basis they are:
as Chris: Linda Szugyi from the blog No One of any Import Posting Mondays
as Vin: Author and blogger Baldilocks Posting Tuesdays
as Harry: Steve Eggleston of No Runny Eggs posting Saturdays
as Bernardo: AP (Lady Liberty 1885) Dillon from Lady Liberty 1885 blog posting Thursdays
as Britt: Fausta Wertz of Fausta’s blog as Brett Posting on Wednesdays
as Lee: Marathon Pundit posting on Sunday (Today!)
and finally as Chico: Georgia Pastor George Kelly making his debut on the internet Fridays.
I’m very proud to have all these excellent people on board.
Like the Original Magnificent seven being hired by the village they are being paid for their each of their weekly original posts on my site, certainly not MSM money but they are certainly doing better than the unpaid bloggers at the Huffington Post who sued when it was sold.
I will of course still be writing daily and covering stories both national and local, this will however give me more free time to sell both the site and the radio show to advertisers willing to support the message that I hope to use to inform and educate the American voter and maybe have some fun in the process.
My goal of course increase both traffic & Tip jar hits and thus be able to afford to travel to cover more events and perhaps eventually bring on more excellent writers to augment my work on the site.
This is a leap of faith, in my seven, my readers and Tip Jar Hitters. No matter how it turns out I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
You will notice that there is a new weekly goal. In order to pay my writers and cover the mortgage I will need to raise $340.
To make this goal I will need 17 tip jar hitters of $20 instead of 15 or 14 tip jar hitters of $25
This is as a said a leap of faith, particularly after missing a smaller goal by over $200 last week, but, I have faith in the skill of my writers to produce a quality product and faith in you to help finance it.
