You don’t? Well let me give you a quick peek:
In an audience with members of an international Marian movement, Pope Francis warned that the sacrament of marriage has been reduced to a mere association, and urged participants to be witnesses in a secular world.
“The family is being hit, the family is being struck and the family is being bastardized,” the Pope told those in attendance at the Oct. 25 audience.
Pretty strong language, strong enough that the pastor of St. Bernards brought it up in a daily mass last week but there was more.
He warned against the common view in society that “you can call everything family, right?”
“What is being proposed is not marriage, it’s an association. But it’s not marriage! It’s necessary to say these things very clearly and we have to say it!” Pope Francis stressed.
He lamented that there are so many “new forms” of unions which are “totally destructive and limiting the greatness of the love of marriage.”
WHOA, is this supposed to be the same Pope that the media just a few weeks ago declared was practically ready to redefine doctrine forever?
At Catholic Vote John White makes the obvious question:
But now Pope Francis is talking about marriage, and newsflash – it’s definitely not what the New York Times and the National Catholic Reporter were hoping for. It will be interesting to see how studiously preoccupied with other events they manage to be in order to avoid reporting it.
Is there going to be intrigue in a nearly 2000 year old hierarchical organization that consists of a lot of intelligent men who have studied scripture that has been debated for centuries? Of course. Are there people who are going to take certain things the wrong way? Of course. Does the devil want to beat the church? Definitely!
Does that mean we should let ourselves fall for all this media schism talk?
Absolutely not and here is why:

I know it’s silly but I have a feeling the Holy Spirit has dealt with stuff like this before and as I said before why would any conservative in his right mind give credence to what the MSM is saying?
Last word, one other thing Pope Francis said that the media didn’t jump on for some reason:

Nothing to see here, move along…
Update: The Anchoress noticed it too.
