ABC George Stephanopoulos & the Other Shoe

Two weeks ago I was demanding an apology from ABC & George Stephanopoulos for not disclosing his conflict of interest in the Clinton Cash Story saying this:

today ABC’s broadcast the above interview never noting to viewers that Mr. Stephanopoulos was an Senior Advisor to the Clinton White House nor did Mr. Stephanopoulos (like MSNBC before him) note that the Sunlight foundation that he so emphatically quoted is funded by liberal billionaire George Soros. (To the tune of over a million bucks since 2008)

Now the stockholders of ABC and the people in charge of programing have a perfect right to put whoever they want in charge of their Sunday show and if they want to have a former Clinton Senior advisor to the honors that’s up to them.

But if they wish to keep of the pretense of offering objective journalism as opposed to Democrat political advocacy then journalistic ethics would have required them to have a different person conduct the interview with Mr. Schweizer or at the minimum have Mr. Stephanopoulos disclose his connections to the Clinton White House either before or after the interview.

Today the other shoe dropped:

Now ABC & Mr. Stephanopoulos have to deal with the embarrassment of this disclosure, but then again if they had not bothered putting a Clinton Crony in the big chair this would not be an issue in the first place.

Update: While some might consider this story part of a “vast right wing conspiracy” remember it’s much more likely that it came from the left as part of their attempt to derail Hillary Clinton as the 2016 Democrat nominee.

Update 2: Bazinga!

Update 3: Via Ace a suggestion from the Federalist

ABC News, if it cares one whit about its reputation, should ban Stephanopoulos from doing any 2016 campaign coverage. It’s bad enough that he was once a Clinton White House staffer. But everyone went along with the charade that his political days were behind him and that he just wanted to be an objective reporter. That charade ends today.

Allahpundit has a question

And Glenn Reynolds has a suggestion too:

Inquiring minds want to know.

Update 4: 50 50 50 Do I hear $75,000?

But that’ OK says Hillary Rosen because.…

sure it might be a charity that strong arms watchdog organizations

New York Magazine is reporting that team Clinton unsuccessfully attempted to strong arm Charity Navigator into changing its lousy rating of the Clinton Foundation.
The [Clinton] Foundation has demanded they extend the Clintons special treatment. They also allege the Foundation attempted to strong-arm them by calling a Navigator board member. “They felt they were of such importance that we should deviate from our normal process. They were irritated by that,” says [former Charity Foundation CEO] Berger.
Apparently the Foundation was warned they would be added to the “watch list” on March 11th based on pre-“Clinton Cash” reports of possible Foundation/State Dept. quid pro quo deals in late February.

But it’s still a charity no matter what the brains behind it says…it’s just that the Clintons believe in old fashoned sayings…

Update 4: 50 50 50 Do I hear $75,000?

But that’ OK says Hillary Rosen because….

sure it might be a charity that strong arms watchdog organizations
