GOP Poison Poll Round 3 The Field Thins & The Plot Thickens

Well the 2nd Round of our GOP Poison Poll and the following candidates have been removed.

Senator Ted Cruz
Senator Rand Paul
Gov Bobby Jindal
Gov John Kasich
Gov Sarah Palin

Cruz & Jindal had only 2 votes each while Paul Kasich & Palin were all tied at 2% They Join Gov Rick Perry, Gov Jim Gilmore, Dr. Ben Carson, Carly Fioria and who exited the first round.

On the other end of the spectrum the order was the same but the percentages slightly different Jeb Bush was the most unacceptable drawing 24% up from 22% the first round. Lindsey Graham remained in 2nd with 18% up from 1% and Chris Christie remained in 3rd & held steady at a 15% share of the vote.

Some items of interest:

These results were achieved with 5% more voters casting 10% more votes than in round 1

With the elimination of Palin, Kasich & Jindal and the Donald Trump Announcement Chris Christie remains the only unannounced candidate remaining in the poll.

Donald Trump’s much discussed rollout had no effect on his numbers.

The share of people willing to vote GOP no matter what dropped dramatically from 8% in round 1 to 4% in round two

both Rick Santorum & Rand Paul improved their position. Despite a larger voting pool both received less total votes, Santorum dropping out of the top five and Paul doing well enough to drop out of the poll altogether.

Mike Huckabee was clearly unpopular with the larger voting pool. He went from 4% in round one and middle of the pack to cracking the top 5 and drawing double digits in on the Poison scale.

So now it’s time for Round 3 we are down to a total of 8 Candidates. You will each have only two votes to spend rather than 3.

With one less vote to give will the top three be shaken up?
Will Marco Rubio who has twice come close to coming off the poison list finally make it off?
Will the new trends for Santorum & Huckabee continue?
Will Donald Trump announcement and Buzz move him up or down.
And does anybody care one way or the other about George Pataki?

The voting begins now and the results? They’re all up to you
