The Trump MSM Symbiotic relationship Pt 1 Donald Donald Donald

Jan Brady: All I hear all day long in school is how great Marsha did this or how wonderful Marsha did that. Marsha Marsha Marsha!

The Brady Bunch

I’m taking another look at what Donald Trump said during his announcement speech that have caused such a fuss and the incredible feeding frenzy that has come from it

The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.

(APPLAUSE)

Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

Looking at this statement and the reaction I can’t help but think that’ this feeding frenzy is exactly what both the media and the Donald want it to be.

When you have a 16 person field the thing you need above all others is attention and Attention is something Mr. Trump was looking for long before his sudden dive into electoral politics.

Every single day that Trump is in the headlines other presidential candidates are not. Every day that Donald Trump words are the headline then the only thing the media will care about when it comes to the rest of the GOP fields is “what do they think about Trump?”.

In terms of press & attention that instantly gives them also-ran status. There are only so many broadcast hours in the day, and if the only thing that is getting covered is Trump this & Trump that then unless you already had big name recognition (Like say Jeb Bush) then you’re pretty much out of business when it comes to press attention. Consider this interview on CNN:

The media and their culture are, with good reason firmly established as the enemy in the minds of conservative voters. Every single day that it’s Media culture vs Trump, is a day trump wins. Consider this on Fox interview:

He now has the excuse to bring up his backup documents on camera and BOOM 2nd place. This tweet sums it up

The link goes to a post on the Kathryn Steinle murder that I’ve already written about. If these stories, which have been ignored for years, by the MSM start breaking through because of Trump it could become a game changer.

But as much as Donald Trump loves the results of his statement the media loves it even more but that’s the next post.

Update: And here he comes:

This senseless and totally preventable act of violence committed by an illegal immigrant is yet another example of why we must secure our border immediately,” Trump said in the wake of news reports that Francisco Sanchez, the man accused of murdering 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle on a pier in San Francisco, is a career criminal who had previously been deported to Mexico five times.

Later, he tweeted: “Where are the other candidates now that this tragic murder has taken place b/c of our unsafe border,” adding: “We need a wall.”

Jan Brady:   All I hear all day long in school is how great Marsha did this or how wonderful Marsha did that.  Marsha Marsha Marsha!

The media and their culture are, with good reason firmly established as the enemy in the minds of conservative voters. Every single day that it’s Media culture vs Trump, is a day trump wins. Consider this on Fox interview:

“This senseless and totally preventable act of violence committed by an illegal immigrant is yet another example of why we must secure our border immediately,” Trump said in the wake of news reports that Francisco Sanchez, the man accused of murdering 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle on a pier in San Francisco, is a career criminal who had previously been deported to Mexico five times.

Later, he tweeted: “Where are the other candidates now that this tragic murder has taken place b/c of our unsafe border,” adding: “We need a wall.”
