In the decade plus that I’ve been blogging (finishing my eighth year here) I’ve noticed some things just never change.
“Liberal” Arabs still hate Jews:
The Nazis, of course, benefited from this anger and revolution. When Adolf Hitler came to power the population of unemployed has reached six million Germans. Hitler was able to in two years (from 1933 to 1935) to employ them all. Six million jobs in two years, a stunning achievement. That is why the Jews wanted to tarnish the success of the Hitler, and said that if Hitler had created six million jobs, it is because he burned six million Jews. And Jewish propaganda triumphed and even become prevalent in all the media that six million Jews were victims of Hitler, while all the number of Jews in Germany was less than a quarter of that number who they say that Hitler burned!
This is the kind of thing that the mainstream Arab press publishes every damn week. But it is kryptonite to speak about institutional antisemitism among Arabs – you will have far more Western articles about how they are only anti-Zionist and how much they love Jews than you will have about this lying, sickening filth that literate, supposedly liberal Egyptians are spoon fed all the time.
Where is the New York Times or AP or Reuters? Why aren’t stories like this considered news?
It’s not news the Arabs may not be critiqued, particularly for feelings about the news that are now almost mainstream in hardcore “liberal circles.”
Nancy Pelosi still lies about church doctrine:
It has been awhile since Rep. Nancy “The Theologian” Pelosi said something stupid about Catholicism.
It’s her turn again!
At LifeSite I read:
Nancy Pelosi: Gay ‘marriage’ is ‘consistent’ with Catholic teaching
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 2, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) — House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, says that same-sex “marriage” is perfectly “consistent” with Catholic Christianity. [That’s just plain dumb. No, it’s just a lie. She knows better than that.]
You would think a person this close to the end might be afraid of this kind of public nonsense, particularly as its mortal sin, but that presumes she actually believes.
Liberals still hate:
“Some animals are more equal than others,” as everyone learns at the end of Animal Farm, but what would George Orwell say about this?
A lecturers’ union [in England] is refusing to let its officers take part in debates at an equality summit if they are white, straight, able-bodied men.
The equality conference of the University and College Union said that members must declare their ‘protected characteristic’ — whether they are gay, disabled, female or from an ethnic minority — when applying to attend.
And Stacy still reminds us this is a big lie:
It is estimated that 100 million people were killed by Marxist-Leninist regimes in the 20th century, and what killed them? “Equality!”
There is no such thing as equality in this world. At no point in human history has anything like equality existed above the level of the rudest poverty and ignorance of primitive savagery, nor is there any prospect that “progress” will lead to equality in the future. As the Nobel Prize economist Friedrich Hayek explained, in his masterful refutation of Rawlsian egalitarianism, “social justice” is a mirage. Every political leader who promises to bring about “equality” is a liar, and every intellectual who attempts to mislead young fools with nonsense about “social justice” is a dangerous fraud.
But one can still make a good living as a dangerous fraud.
They also remain violent:
It seems not everyone is thrilled with Hillary Clinton’s historic win of the Democratic nomination. Reporters have been feeling the Bern from angry Sanders supporters who are lashing out online and on the phone. The Associated Press sent an internal memo to its reporters warning them to “practice situation awareness” after receiving “angry communications” from people upset about the AP calling the race for Clinton Monday.
Perhaps they can in the words of Iowahawk somehow blame it on Trump
And finally even in a world as crazy as ours has gotten there are nuggets out there if you but search:
You might remember Sir Christopher Lee for his role as Saruman in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, or as Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels, or for his classic Dracula. Or even as the lead singer of the heavy-power-symphonic metal band Charlemagne (quite a suggestive name that already lets you know whose side Sir Christopher was on, indeed).
Around such a character, many a legend arose. One of them claimed the actor had a huge collection of occultism-related literature that amounted to 20,000 books. “If I had such a collection, I’d be living in a bathroom,” he answered, during a Q&A session at University College in Dublin. But his answer went further on:
“I have met people who claim to be Satanists, who claim to be involved with black magic, who claimed that they not only knew a lot about it. But as I said, I certainly have not been involved and I warn all of you: never, never, never. You will not only lose your mind: you lose your soul.”
The Devil is real, and he’s not your friend, never has been, never will be.
