Zito’s point is so obvious that I’m shocked the GOP hasn’t figured it out
This moment is about what happens when you spend an entire generation ignoring the will, the wants and the needs of your people beyond cosmopolitan America.
This is what happens when voters get tired of putting on their team jerseys and supporting their side, but get nothing in return when that team wins.
This would be obvious to any person who actually interviewed a Trump supporter without coming to said interview with the premise “Why are you such an ignorant racist hick?” instead of wondering “Why haven’t the ‘mainstream’ candidates bothered to address these issues?”
It’s also why the GOP risks destroying itself by replacing Trump at the convention defying the will of the voters who gave him sufficient pledged delegates to win during the primaries.
Meanwhile while the MSM still is alternating between blaming police for their own murders or using the violence to push gun control, but they are completely ignoring that while Democrat activists claim Black Lives matter, apparently that doesn’t apply to all black lives, particularly in Chicago:
In fact, on the day before the expressway protest a four-year-old Englewood boy was shot several times a mile away from that rally.
I wasn’t there but I will wager a sizable sum of cash that none of the leftists decried the shooting of that boy. The people who live in the home where the 4-year-old lives believe their home is being targeted–they claim they don’t know by whom. In May a 53-year-old woman who lives in that house was wounded in a shooting there.
One house–two shootings–three months. Does anyone seriously believe that the Chicago Police is targeting this home?
Since New Year’s Day there have been 2,054 shootings in Chicago–312 of those shootingswere fatal. The great majority of the victims were African-American as were likely the perpetrators, although no one can say for sure because most “Chiraq” murders are street-gang related and go unsolved.
Nor to they note their own editorial decisions, but Robert Stacy McCain does:
People get shot all the time in America, but CNN only pays attention to shootings that fit a certain narrative. The endless carnage of black-on-black violent crime? Not newsworthy, according to CNN. More than 300 people have been shot to death in Chicago so far this year, and more than 250 of the victims were black, but CNN ignores that bloodshed, because it can’t be exploited by “social justice” activists blaming racist cops.
“So what I think is very important for you to understand just like there are rogue cops who shoot black people for sport.”
— Angela Rye, CNN, July 8
“Turn off your TV!” I want to shout at people who let themselves get worked into a frenzy over this stuff. “Cable news is making you crazy!”
No one ever seems to question the basic editorial decisions behind this kind of coverage. More than 100 people were shot last week in Chicago, but that’s just another average week in Chicago. Because this happens routinely, it is not news, and nobody cares:
Chicago, for all intents and purposes, is a “gun-free zone.”
But all the state and city regulations associated with firearms in Chicago have failed to produce a safe city, and these are the policies that President Obama and Secretary Clinton wish to extend to the rest of the country.
While CNN & Black lives matter want to ignore these inconvenient fact thanks to social media, their ability to keep this information from the public has been collapsing although it’s not from the lack of effort in suspending Stacy from Twitter.
And that why Donald Trump is rising, because he bypasses those institutions that choose to ignore realities that people are aware of.
Once you understand that, it’s pretty easy to figure out.
