What you already knew about Twitter is worse than you thought

If you’re a conservative who uses Twitter, you’re likely very aware that your Tweets don’t get the same amount of attention as liberals’ Tweets. A good chunk of this can be attributed to the nature of social media itself; there are simply more liberals using it. I’ve often attributed this to the notion that conservatives are more likely to be acting more productively with their lives than to spend all day on Twitter, but according to Project Veritas, it’s much more than that.

Twitter actively goes after conservatives, particularly Trump supporters. We’ve seen this publicly on display since the election season began in 2015, but that was based upon people getting banned. Now, we’re seeing how tricky Twitter really is. They “shadow ban” some accounts, making them pretty much invisible to everyone else while letting “shadow banned” users believe their accounts are still active.
