You Say You Want Independent Journalism

This weekend at my blog, I was griping about having known about and having publicized the strange alliance between Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam and the “Church” of Scientology only to have National Review talk about and get all the huzzahs. I mean, what is the purpose of Peter’s brainchild The Magnificent Seven? To offer a source of independent journalism, is it not? All I did to find out about this alliance was to walk out my front door in South Central Los Angeles in 2012 and drive down the street, but I was there and interacted, however briefly, with one of the members of the NOI.

But I can’t blame National Review or Bethany Mandel, the author of the Farrakhan-Scientology piece. She just found the information, did a little research and published. That’s what all we online babblers do.

NR, however, has a huge audience and Da Tech Guy Blog does not., nor does my blog. We put the information out there, then we hope that readers like it, respond to it, and then share the information with those who are receptive to the information and even some who are not.

And we hope that you appreciate our efforts enough to put your money next to your appreciation. That’s what the Left does – the organized variety or the mere foot soldiers, as I pointed out at my blog.

Therefore, I’d like you readers who are able to do this one thing: hit Peter’s Tip Jar. Right sidebar at the top is the location. Yes, of course it’s partially for me and for all the others who Peter has gathered here. But I hear tell that readers, especially conservatives, are tired of the Leftist spin that the Big Media and even the Medium Media offers.

Look at all the work that Peter has done in the last few weeks. That’s the kind of thing normal news readers say they appreciate. Let’s find out if it’s true.
