Non-Twitter Under the Fedora Thoughts Jan 7th Last Days of Christmas, Paid "Shutdowns", Pickaninny Warren, Communism Now & Victory at Sea

This week begins that last days of this Christmas for until December and because of that is always a sad time for me, but it’s tempered by all the smiles of the people pleased to see my Santa Hat still on the top of my fedora. The spirit of Christmas is secularism’s greatest foe.

The Hill made a big fuss about President Trump that President Trump noted that most of the people not working due to the shutdown are Democrats. Everyone knows federal workers will, as they have every other time, been voted pay for the days of the shutdown. As for contractors and others, there is a lesson: Dependence on government for your daily bread comes with risks, so act accordingly.

If Elizabeth Warren was a Conservative or a Republican Don Surber’s post would be viral, the SPLC would brand her racist and there would be no other story in the news until every member of the GOP was harangued into calling for her resignation. But she is a ultra liberal Democrat so the only be blogs like thing noting that in the last election instead of choosing the real Diehl, Massachusetts “picked a ninny”.

I’m very grateful for this Oliver Willis tweet

When such people feel powerful enough to drop the mask and endorse the greatest force for slavery mass murder and oppression that modern man has ever seen it’s an important reminder what their endgame for you is if they win.

You have been warned.

Finally speaking of fighting oppression I Spent this weekend bingeing the classic 1952 TV series Victory at Sea. You might be surprised to hear that I don’t recall ever seeing it before although I’m sure when I was a kid my brothers might have caught it on repeated on a UHF channel somewhere. It deserves more space than a part of a post but let me simply say that today it would be impossible to imagine NBC or any other modern MSM network producing such a show.
