Next for Democrats The "Personally Opposed to Antisemitism" Phase

As I look at the events of the last few days I can’t help but see history repeating itself.

There was a time when a percentage of Democrats did not favor slavery, as that percentage dropped you had northern Democrats saying while they didn’t approve of slavery’s expansion they were willing to let it remain where it existed, from there it was a small leap for Democrats to become the party of slavery to the point where they kept the anti-slavery republican (Lincoln) off the ballot in states they controlled and in the end fought a war to defend it.

It’s the same path we saw on abortion. First Democrats were mixed on it, then with Mario Cuomo one could be “personally opposed” and we eventually reached the point where no Democrat who aspires to high national office dares opposes abortion even to the day of birth.

On Gay Marriage and Transgenderism Democrats sped the process up. They went from toleration to promotion to labeling those opposed so fast that lesbian activists are now being labeled as bigots for suggesting men have a penis and women a vagina.

With yesterday’s vote affirming Rep Illan Omar’s antisemitism (and let’s not pretend it’s anything but) the Democrats have reached the 1st stage of the process. Very soon we are going to see the 2nd and in fact there are signs that we’re already there.

We will watch national Democrats insist that while they are personally opposed to BDS and accusing Jews of dual loyalties they have absolutely no problem with the party having a diversity of opinion on the subject, in fact they will claim that the diversity on the subject shows just how non-bigoted the Democrat party is, in fact I suspect you will see every single Democrat candidate for President state that very thing if asked (assuming they are asked, why do you think they don’t want to be on Fox)

I predict this you will see this before the next election and maybe even a little bit sooner.

Now I want to point out something. I’m both a free speech absolutest and an opponent of “hate” crimes. People should not be prosecuted for that they think but for what they do and Omar and company have the complete right to prove themselves ignorant bigoted asses who hate Jews and want to see them driven out of Israel and they even have the right to advance that opinion if they can.

However I submit and suggest that people who actually believe in right and wrong have the obligation to call this out for what it is: dangerous bigotry used to justify the extermination of an entire race of people. I’m old enough to remember a time when Democrats would have felt that obligation, in fact back in those days I was a Democrat, but now that the party is dependent on the support of the Omars of the nation to win nationally that time is past.

Closing thought: If the Richard Winters and the rest of the World War 2 generation who actually saw the death camps were in their 50’s & 60’s instead of in their 90’s or dead, the Democrat wouldn’t have dared let this go.

Money is really tight right now and I’m several grand behind where I need to be to try to catch up on some bills both personal and business.

Of course one time Tip jar hits and always welcome too.

Either way it’s most appreciated.
