Lenten Reflections Sixth Monday in Lent: Building up

The 1st three days of Holy Week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are in a way the plain sisters of the week. Daily mass is celebrated the Gospel is read but it’s pretty much the calm before the storm of that breaks beginning Thursday.

But it’s worth noting that while the Church generally doesn’t do anything big during these three days that doesn’t mean that Jesus didn’t. If you look to the Gospel you will see that Jesus is in the temple preaching, is engaging the people and is engaging the leaders who are out to trap him and some of lessons that we are most familiar with come from this period of time.

Take a moment to open your bible today and check out the Gospel from the entry of Christ to Jerusalem to the last supper. Lent may be ending but the lessons Jesus taught that week last forever.
