Roseanne Not Back, Khan not Invited, Operaman's back, Jobs back, Fausta's back (but not here yet) Thoughts under the fedora

Roseanne’s son has a few choice words about the fact that his mother is still unemployed and apparently unemployable after a single tweet:

Pentland also compared how his mother was treated to how another Hollywood celebrity was treated after his offensive tweets.
That celebrity is a man named James Gunn, a Hollywood filmmaker best known as the writer and director of the Marvel Studios-Disney films “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
To say his tweets were way worse is an understatement. Roseanne had made a joke: Gunn’s tweets seem to describe and celebrate sex with young boys.

That would be a good argument if to Hollywood her offense was a tweet, but to the media/entertainment complex her offense was and is supporting Donald Trump, the tweet was simply the means to justify punishing her for that offense.

Given the way things have been going I was a little surprised to hear this story out of England:

SADIQ KHAN has been shunned by the Queen, who has not invited the London Mayor to US President Donald Trump’s state banquet at Buckingham Palace.
Labour’s Mr. Khan was left off the guest list by the Monarch, despite announcing he would be happy to meet the American. Mr. Khan’s spokesman, Jonathan Weisgard, told Newsweek:
“The mayor has not been invited to the state banquet.” Invitations were sent to Lib Dem leader Sir Vince Cable and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who both declined to attend.

I think England is dying but it won’t make it into the grave until Elizabeth II does.

Adam Sandler returned as Operaman on SNL this weekend update and demonstrated the difference between SNL as it was and as it is

What made the segment different and special wasn’t just nostalgia Notice how instead of just spending four minutes hitting Trump (and his Trump jokes were good) he made excellent jokes about the Democrat field in general and Joe Biden in particular although my favorite was the Game of Thrones HBO stuff.

It’s amazing what you can do with comedy when your primary goal is to be funny.

How good is the economy? A person I know with a less than perfect background lost his job Friday and he already has an interview lined up and it’s not even Monday yet.

How these guys are ever going to sell people working today who were unemployed and unemployable four years ago on dumping Trump is beyond me.

Finally some bad news and some good news, the Bad news is Fausta still hasn’t posted here in a while, the good news is for the 1st time since January she has a piece up at her site. It concerns Venezuela

Bayly said that Padrino had agreed to having Maduro leave for Cuba and install Guaidó as interim president in exchange for being allowed to keep the fortune he’s amassed over the years and avoiding prosecution by the U.S. The U.S. would also give the new interim administration $20billion to pay Russia for its oil interests in the country.
This was scheduled to take place on May 1st.
But Padrino changed his mind,
ABC Spain reports that General Padrino backed out at the last moment, even when the negotiation had lasted for several months. Bayly claims that Padrino demanded at the last moment to be permanent president.

The most significant part of this post is Fausta’s warning that this post should be read with caution as it’s not as well documented as previous ones.

If the MSM had this standard of cautioning readers then every single report they did on the President over the last two years would come with a disclaimer.

Either way it’s most appreciated.

How good is the economy? A person I know with a less than perfect background lost his job Friday and he already has an interview lined up and it’s not even Monday yet.

The most significant part of this post is Fausta’s warning that this post should be read with caution as it’s not as well documented as previous ones.

If the MSM had this standard of cautioning readers then every single report they did on the President over the last two years would come with a disclaimer.
