A Convention that bans CSPAN has something to Hide: Update Kassie Hunt Proves My Point

This story really shouldn’t shock me.

In a first, only one TV outlet — MSNBC — will be allowed to deliver live coverage of Saturday’s South Carolina Democratic Convention where 21 presidential candidates are expected to speak, drawing heated complaints from other networks.

C-SPAN, which has never been denied live coverage of a state convention in the network’s 40 years, has reluctantly pulled out of the convention and other weekend events sponsored by the party. CNN has filed a complaint. Fox will also be barred from providing live coverage to its viewers.

Now it would be no shock to hear a liberal argue against Fox, after all that’s what they do, nor, and if MSNBC made a financial deal with the party, you could make an argument that it should get preference over CNNbut CPAN?

CSPAN is the closest thing to a public utility there is when it comes to political broadcasting. It couldn’t be more vanilla if Dunkin Donuts put the word “French” in front of it and put it in their coffee. Basically it’s whole modus operandi is pointing a camera and microphone at an event and showing things as they are as they happen.

My guess is that’s the problem.

We’ve reached the point where the Democrat party has become so radical, so outrageous and so frankly un-american that to allow access to their convention and their events to CPAN which will show things as they are, and broadcast people saying what they think in their own words completely in context without any spin or edits or breaking away is to risk defeat in a general election.

Do not be surprised to see this repeated in state after state, the masks are all off and the left is all in.

Update: This is exactly why they only want MSNBC to report on what they say:

A correction did come eventually on twitter but this was broadcast and how many people who say the original broadcast will see the correction and how prominent will said correction be?

This story really shouldn’t shock me.

In a first, only one TV outlet — MSNBC — will be allowed to deliver live coverage of Saturday’s South Carolina Democratic Convention where 21 presidential candidates are expected to speak, drawing heated complaints from other networks.

C-SPAN, which has never been denied live coverage of a state convention in the network’s 40 years, has reluctantly pulled out of the
convention and other weekend events sponsored by the party. CNN has filed a complaint. Fox will also be barred from providing live coverage to its viewers.

Now it would be no shock to hear a liberal argue against Fox, after all that’s what they do, nor, and if MSNBC made a financial deal with the party, you could make an argument that it should get preference over CNN… but CPAN?

A correction did come eventually on twitter but this was broadcast and how many people who say the original broadcast will see the correction and how prominent will said correction be?
