Saunders: Oh no Diz!
Diz: Taylor has practically every paper in the state lined up and he’s feeding them doctored up junk!

We’ve been busing in people for fifty years to stop you ******* ******** and we’re not going to stop now!

The 2nd Project Veritas Tape dropped while I was asleep this morning and it talks about the where’s, and the hows on voter fraud:

Four thoughts:

  1.  As I write this right now CNN is literally saying there is practically no such thing as voter fraud. If you do a search of James O’Keefe under google news you will find tons of links to the O’Keefe tapes, none of them are from NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NYT, LAT, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune et/al. As far as they are concerned this stuff doesn’t exist. O’Keefe has said ” If Media Covered Project Veritas Like They Covered Trump Tape, ‘I Guarantee You Trump Would Win the Election“.

This is why they don’t.

2. Every single major news organization, every single national newspaper, every major state paper and every major paper from individual cities have vastly more resources that James O’Keefe and Project Veritas. Any of them could have done the investigative work that Mr. O’Keefe and Project Veritas did and exposed these practices that have apparently been going on for decades.

They chose not to.

3. Conservatives have been saying this kind of thing has been  going on for years. invariably Democrat pols their allies and every single major news organization, every single national newspaper practically every major state paper and practically every major city paper have been calling the people who are claiming this was happening “Conspiracy Theorists”.

They were not

4. There is a huge overlap between the people who work for NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NYT, LAT, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune et/al and those who have worked for Democrats in public office.  It is very likely that some of these people knew this stuff was going on and could have reported on it for the public good

They did not.

You know I’ll wager there were hundreds of people who got into journalism who thought they were going to be Woodward and Bernstein, who thought they were going to change the world and do good.  They saw themselves as the boy rangers from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington taking on the rich and powerful.

I’ll bet they never imagined that by their cowardice and silence they would instead essentially become the Taylor machine keeping  silent for the sake of the connected and to maintain their own positions instead.

It’s rather sad actually.

Closing thoughts

While it’s all well and good to get these revelations out there the real question is: What will we as a nation do about it?  Will we do ANYTHING about it?   How we answer that question will reveal who we are as a nation and determine once and for all what kind of government we deserve.

As a Catholic in general and a Christian in particular we are required to love and pray for both the people doing this to us, and the media who are enabling them by their silence. This is not an optional doctrine.

Please consider Subscribing. Right now our subscribers consist of 1/50 of 1% of our total unique visitors based on last years numbers.

If we can get another 150 subscribers at $10 a month (another 1/10 of 1% of those who have visited this year) We can meet our annual goals with no trouble, with the same number of subscribers at $20 a month I could afford to cover the presidential campaign outside of New England firsthand.

And of course at that price you get the Da Magnificent Seven plus those we hope to add on and all subscribers get my weekly podcast emailed directly to you before it goes up anywhere else.

We are all interested in your sources of information, Hornblower,” prompted Cornwallis, apparently explaining something already asked.

Hornblower shook his head in a decisive negation; that was his instant reaction , before he could analyze the situation, and before he could wrap up a blunt refusal in pretty words.

“No,” he said, to back up the shaking of his head

Last night the 3rd Project Veritas video came out, showing state communication lead of Enroll America Christopher Tarango attempting to enable people attempting to purchase personal Obamacare info for political purposes, offering to talk to someone “who might be willing to have this conversation behind closed doors” .

As a person of the right who would like to see some coverage of this for a change I would push this video with one simple phrase:

“This conversation never happened”

Those words should be repeated over and over again by us, we should also stress that the media has totally bought into this phrase by their unwillingness to cover the story.

That phrase is the key to making this video break through.  If you are a blogger in any state where a Democrat is running for Senate this year, you want to call their office and ask for comment on this.

As far as the left goes their base plan is to take that phrase literally.  They will act as if the conversation never happened and like the first two videos will ignore it.

Plan B will be to attack James O’Keefe.  If you can’t contradict the contents of the video hit O’Keefe as  a “felon” and “unreliable”.  Even as I was typing this post this was taking place

Attack the messenger only goes so far when people have already lost their jobs over these videos.

If that easy to quote phrase still breaks through despite ignoring it, and attacking the messenger  the logical next tactic for the left is to point to the exculpatory parts of the video, and there are some.

Tarango offers several legal suggestions including the base registration list and repeatedly notes the law in terms of what he can and can’t do and I would expect the left to jump all over this although the back and forth is frankly what you would expect if someone is asking for something illegal.  The proper answer would have been a curt and blunt “No!” saying that if you continue to press the issue he would have to excuse himself.

Of course there is one defense that would be even more effective:  Why should anyone want to buy the Obamacare personal info when it’s so easy to hack online:

President Barack Obama’s HealthCare.gov site is riddled with security flaws that put user data of millions of people at risk and it should be shut down until fixed, several technology experts warned lawmakers on Tuesday.

The testimony at a congressional hearing could increase concerns among many Americans about Obama’s healthcare overhaul, popularly known as Obamacare. Opinion polls show the botched rollout of the online marketplace for health insurance policies has hurt the popularity of the effort.

they weren’t shy about it:

A panel of IT experts had one answer for Congress when asked if Americans should use the Obamacare exchanges on Healthcare.gov in light of its security concerns: “No.”

In fact they even demoed how a hacker would do it

Kennedy even ran a hacker demonstration, showing the congressmen the webstite’s vulnerabilities and how he could pull sensitive information from it. He was one of four experts who testified of the risks of 500 million lines of untested Healthcare.gov computer code.

Tarango would have been better off just saying:  “Cripes you don’t need me, just pay a high school hacker, he’ll have all the names you want at half the price.”

and THAT is more of a shock than the idea of political people willing to break or skirt the law.

Normally you would not see this here but I’ve done some math and the horrible start to this month’s tip jar has me in a bad spot.

I’ve made my goal this week and more but since the month started so badly even if I make my full goal next week I’ll still, as of right now, be a full $247 shy of covering the bills this month. In fact at that rate I’d be short even if I didn’t have the Magnificent Seven to pay. (and they’ll be paid first)

So I’m forced to ask you to consider hitting DaTipJar today.

And consider subscribing if 74 of you do at the $20 a month level the Mortgage and the Magnificent Seven would be paid every month

And if you have a business consider subscribing at the Grand Fedora level and become a sponsor of either DaTechGuy’s Magnificent Seven OR DaTechGuy’s Radio Panel with links and radio ads included. Get your ads in front of tens of thousands of eyes on a regular basis.

On Tuesday I reported James O’Keefe promised to return to NH to expose voter fraud in NH again.

Apparently Granite Grok decided they didn’t want to wait till then:

State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark, D-District 21, has eight people registered to vote under her single-family address in Portsmouth. Several of them came to New Hampshire to work on campaigns for various periods of time and voted in elections before moving on.

When asked about the legitimacy of their domicile status, Clark said:

“By and large, the young people who stayed with me were committed to New Hampshire, but given their age, whether they intended to stay is impossible to predict.”

In fact Granite Grok is all over this story.

The New Hampshire State Board of Education’s newest member is Emma Rous from Durham. There are four voters hailing from 50 Adams Point Road in Durham, where Emma lives; Emma Rous, Walter Rous (Emma’s husband), Nahanni Rous (Emma’s 38 year old married daughter), and Ben Rous (Emma’s 38 year old married son).

Funny, how these twins never moved out. Common in cases of voter fraud.

and even more funny are the connections involved with some of these guys

Sidley Austin Brown & Wood…isn’t that where Barack Obama was a Summer Associate at the Chicago Office? It’s where the current President met his wife Michelle, who was then an assistant associate. So Nahanni’s father in law has strong connections to Presidential politics and the Democrat party…going all the way back to Jimmy Carter; and strong connections to the President for whom Nahanni and her brother probably voted in November, not from their own Homes where they and their spouses live, but from Durham, New Hampshire, where they do not live.

So, are these also “young people” who were committed to New Hampshire whose staying was impossible to predict or Democrats whose mother is active in the Democrat state party, was an elected member of the NH House, who sat on the State school board, who knew their vote would matter in a swing state, and who–along with others–encouraged them to come here and vote here?

The latter, of course.

And it was mentioned when I interviewed three NH state reps yesterday…

at O’Keefe’s final appearance in the Granite state where after prospective congressional candidate Ryan introduced him

He spoke of voter fraud again

I seem to keep hearing more and more stories along these lines concerning 2012.

No wonder the left react to O’Keefe like this:

I have the feeling that only after the Obama’s are out of the white House many will be shocked at what was done to keep him there.

I won’t be.

Friday and a Full paycheck is only $80 dollars and 4 $20 tip jar hitters away.

Can it be done, should it be done? That’s up to you

.

“Bring it on”

Andrew Breitbart Lexington MA

Remember when the AG of New Hampshire was making noise about James O’Keefe? Well during an event in Nashua last night he had a message for the state:

I’m going to come to the 2016 presidential primary here in NH. And I’m going to expose the fact that I can be voting the names of dead people AGAIN.

The O’Keefe event in Nashua attracted a small crowd of GOP activists and pols to a local country club where O’Keefe gave a presentation about his work, a small clip:

When the presentation was done he took a couple of questions from me

and various voters on different subjects

He also sat for a longer interview on his book Breakthrough once the event was over

There was also a first-rate presentation by Andrew Hemingway which was one of the most intelligent breakdowns of how voter data should be used that I’ve heard. He spoke to me afterwards

His NH Republican leadership institute deserves a closer look.

and there was one more bit of news that was made last night on the NH Senate Race by Karen Testerman.

I’ve met and spoke to Karen Before, in my opinion she’ll make a fine Senator if NH is wise enough to elect her.

I’m posting this pretty early in the morning, but perhaps I’ll contact the NH AG’s office for comment on James’ statements, or perhaps he’ll take a trip to the Radison in Manchester on Thursday, because James will be speaking there from 5-7 and I wouldn’t be surprised if he repeats those statements there.

Update:  added the Breitbart quote and the text of what O’Keefe said.

Update 2. Pictures we’ve got Pictures!

In the second James O’Keefe joined me you can listen to that here.

Our friends on the left and particularly in the media, are very loud and proud about declaring their opposition to guns. That is until it hits home:

If you want to know why James O’Keefe is so hated by the left, it’s simple, he shows them for what they are.

If you have a right to know who has a gun doesn’t that automatically mean you have a right to know who doesn’t?

…wasn’t shot by me.

More details here.

Exit question: Given the stakes in a presidential election year, the tactics we’ve already seen, the amount of money involved and the plausible deniability provided by superpacs, can any rational person without an agenda make the case that a campaign will NOT use such a tactic to win?

I submit that the most logical reason to oppose voter ID laws is to preserve the ability of one’s allies to commit fraud.

thus Sayith Carl Bernstein Watching Morning Joe, because of the resignation the NPR statement and the current fight was forced to cover the story. Yet although they played the key segments (stressing it was “edited” and that is was O’Keefe’s group while not mentioning that O’Keefe wasn’t in the video, nor mentioning the 2nd NPR person in the videos) the topic was instantly about how much of a non story this was, how unimportant it is and why we shouldn’t care.

Thus the show is able to say: “Yes we covered it.”, without giving it any credence.

Alas for them they had Cokie Roberts and her husband scheduled so it was impossible to not touch on it again. Again it was called a distraction, Cokie stressed how the small stations would suffer without federal funding and how much separation there is from the actual journalism and the exects.

This tells me that they can’t ignore it. The trap was the crank call against Walker. Morning Joe and the MSM went long on it, the media ate it up. Because they did and because it was Walker is still in the news. it became impossible to totally ignore it.

This is going to undermine democrats in the senate big time which already had problems:

In November, the same week that George Soros declared war on Fox News by giving $1 million to Media Matters, NPR announced it had accepted a $1.8 million grant from Soros’s Open Society Foundations for a 50-state local reporting initiative.

The grant, coming so close to Williams’s firing, stuck in conservatives’ craw.

“When NPR receives million-dollar gifts from Mr. Soros, it is an insult to taxpayers when other organizations, such as MoveOn.org demand that Congress ‘save NPR and PBS’ by guaranteeing ‘permanent funding and independence from partisan meddling,’ as the liberal interest group did last month,” DeMint wrote in the Wall Street Journal last week.

The increased scrutiny is certainly not going to be healthy for them.

Update: Vivian Schiller just resigned. Apparently this is no longer a half minute new story. Over to you Carl.

Update 2:
That half minute keeps getting longer and longer doesn’t it? Ron Schiller is now out of Aspen too, and apparently Vivian didn’t resign, she was fired.

except this.

Watch over the next 48 hours as the left and the media suddenly decide that they want to listen to what Andrew Breitbart has to say.

As for O’Keefe I was too fast with the wheel of fish award last time but you could substitute this incident for the last one in that post and you would have my opinion on the matter.

As time has passed it has become increasingly clear that James O’Keefe did not attempt to bug Landrieu’s office.

The various attacks of the left have disappeared into vapor, to the point were Patterico is running rings around them and Breitbart is making them look like fools.

Meanwhile the O’Keefe arrest that was the lead story for the MSM all over has gone poof, no new stories, nothing much happening, very quiet and most importantly quiet at a time when the MSM and the democrats could use something to distract Americans from their own failures.

Has this case gone to court yet? No. Could something more be coming? With God all things are possible but the media’s behavior and Eric Holder’s Justice’s actions suggests otherwise. Their actions or lack thereof is the Dog that didn’t bark.

“Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?”

“To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.”

“The dog did nothing in the night-time.”

“That was the curious incident,” remarked Sherlock Holmes.

I must conclude that although I included the proper caveats I was wrong. So the Wheel of Fish award goes to me:

I’ll put it next to my Reagan award.

Question: What is the ultimate expression of wishful thinking?

Ah the people at Breitbart’s Big Journalism prove that mindless optimism is not confined to myself and Lt. George:

While it is true Mr. Johnson did not use the precise phrase “white nationalist convention” as was noted in Weigel’s article, he said something very similar in the comments of his blog. In this case, Mr. Johnson does not attribute his claim that O’Keefe attended a “meeting of white nationalists” to anyone.

We hope that Mr. Johnson, an influential presence in the blogosphere, will issue a retraction without playing the semantics game with the words “meeting” and “conference,” but just in case, from dictionary.com:

In addition, his claim O’Keefe was “a friend” of Marcus Epstein is false. In an interview with BigJournalism.com, James O’Keefe denied Mr. Johnson’s claim, which, again, is unattributed. As was hashed out here, there is no factual basis for Johnson to imply a close link between O’Keefe and Epstein:

They did manage to notice that the action at Charles’ blog is often in the comments, not in the articles.

Meanwhile Pam Geller (who looks incredible in a Fedora) knows what the score is:

This is what Johnson does. He has gotten a great deal of publicity for his announcement about how he parted ways with the Right, but the real story of Charles Johnson is not even that he changed his mind or his politics. Little Green Footballs today is not a political site. It’s an attack site. He has set about to destroy the most effective voices on the Right. But in fact, he destroyed himself.

Then again that mindless optimism post from Jan 6th was about the fact that Scott Brown’s chances weren’t all that good so you never know.

…particularly when the US Attorney on the case is rescuing himself from the case.

Even more interesting is the time lag in the announcement. This happened the very next day yet it wasn’t announced. Hot Air asks:

One wonders why they waited so long to announce it. The press release is still not available on the Web site of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Louisiana’s Eastern District.

Mike Barnicle’s assessment of “Bad Parenting” when describing O’Keefe on Morning Joe today might have to be revised as may my “Wheel of Fish” award. I’m no lawyer but Ann Althouse is and she asks the 64,000 question:

The charge against O’Keefe is entering federal property under false pretenses for the purpose of committing a felony. What felony does the government say they intended to commit?

This is starting to head into Bill Sparkman territory.

I wonder if Jim Letten’s recusel will make the front page of the NY Times above the fold?

…and it would be consistent with his previous actions.

I’m not a lawyer but i’ll wager it’s still a violation of federal law, that’s a Bozo no-no.

However it does looks like this TPM post seems to be confirming Patterico earlier one.

Not enough to retract the Wheel of Fish but we will see.

Oh BTW take a look that the bottom of TPM they seem to be going all O’Keefe all the time, it would seem it is the only card the left has to play these days.

He said:

A Democratic Thief is as bad as a republican one.

One doesn’t want to pre-judge a case but to say the least it doesn’t look good. There is no question that if they were trying to bug a Senator’s office that would be a federal offense.

One should not get the idea that you can violate law with impunity. Of course it’s not the organized corruption of ACORN. We seem to be dealing with a bunch of 20 somethings who are too full of themselves. Unlike the ACORN films this is one story involving Mr. O’Keefe that will not be ignored by the MSM.

As Ann Althouse’s commentator says O’Keefe deserves the gratitude of the nation for his Acorn expose, but lets be frank, if this had been a democrat breaking in to a republican’s office we would be all over him. A reasonable person would conclude that this stinks and stinks badly.

Of course a reasonable person given the early evidence would have concluded a certain gentleman was murdered in Kentucky so if people want to withhold judgment that’s up to them. For me I gotta call ’em as I seem em and from what I’m currently seeing O’Keefe joins John Edwards in the as a winner of the “Wheel of Fish” award.

If subsequent facts prove me wrong then I’ll retract it.

Update: Breitbart comes out swinging

Update 2 : I think the egg is on my face in 35 days or so of this story O’Keefe has been looking better and better and the MSM has looked like a bunch of fools. Consider the Wheel of Fish award retracted.

That’s one good get.

Good and fair article but she keeps calling Hanna her “Accomplice” that implies wrongdoing.

Joe talks about how it is amazing that he could do this, I can’t help but think of Kung Fu:

Old man how is it that you hear these things

Young man how is it you do not?

MSM how is it you did not do what he did?
