While some of us gawk at the first of the October Surprises in Circus Circus 2016–aka the presidential election cycle–Immigration and Radicalization Theater continue.

House Committee on the Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) wants Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson to provide information about Nelash Mohamed Das, a citizen of Bangladesh and a lawful permanent resident of the United States arrested by the FBI and charged with attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organization by conspiring to murder a US military member in Prince George’s County, Maryland on behalf of ISIS.

Goodlatte told Johnson in a letter Thursday he wanted Das’s immigration and criminal history to determine if there were indicators of his radicalization that the Department of Justice should have been aware of prior to his arrest.

The FBI alleges that in late 2015 and early 2016, Das used social media to express his support for ISIS, including support for the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, France and San Bernardino, California.

“It is important for the committee to understand how Das became radicalized and to determine whether there were indicators of his radicalization that DHS should have been aware of prior to his arrest.”

I would love it if someone could explain this radicalization concept using layman terms, because, as it stands, I think it’s a phantom—one conjured to drive out the notion that Islam is a violent religion by nature…

…or to drive out the notion that “radicalization” really means that a given Muslim has begun to take his faith seriously.

WWII: Germans surrender to Russians outside Moscow

by baldilocks

Daniel Greenfield again documents the terms of Europe’s willing surrender to the Dar al-Islam.

The UN Commission of Experts identified 1,600 actual cases of rape in the Bosnian War that took place in the former Yugoslavia over a period of years. In Germany, 2,000 Muslim migrants sexually assaulted 1,200 women in a single night in cities across Germany.

The former was considered one of the worst war crimes of the decade. Its perpetrators were bombed and then faced war crimes trials. The perpetrators of the latter received a slap on the wrist.

In Cologne, Hassan and Hussein were handed suspended sentences. Hassan, who had demanded that a man hand over two women to him by bellowing, “Give me the girls, give me the girls – or you’re dead” was tried as a juvenile offender and was sentenced to community service and an integration course.

Selin Goren, a spokeswoman for a left-wing refugee group, admitted to lying that the men who sexually assaulted her were German instead of Arabs because the act of the rape had a “political dimension”. Instead of thinking of the men who had assaulted her, she thought of a pro-refugee rally in which she had called for fighting “against racism and sexism”.

And predictably the former took a back seat to the latter.

When the police officer asked her if refugees had been responsible, she retorted that they had spoken German while resenting the officer for being so racist as to assume, correctly, that Muslim migrants were to blame.

A friend had told her that she acted like a battered wife protecting her abusive husband.

It’s an accurate description of not just her, but of the entire left which has turned its own values inside out in order to protect Muslim rapists from a theocratic culture not fundamentally different than ISIS which believes that women are fair game during their gleeful invasion of Europe.

My opinion: European in general and Germany specifically isn’t done paying the spiritual price for the perpetrating/allowing the massacres of the 20th century. And I’m not only referring to the Jews–Russians, Poles—both Jew and Gentile—Romani…and the list goes on. Europe’s spiritual problems are and have always been about leadership.

The spiritual price(s) for bad leadership: delusion and the desire for death, brought on by godlessness. Of course, godless leaders were the catalysts for the massacres in the first place.

Observing from across the water bids these questions. How many Americans are similarly deluded? And what of our leaders?

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Enjoy your reward, Fr. Jacques Hamel.

The military victims of the jihad attack at Fort Hood will finally receive their Purple Heart medals, as a result ofpurpleheart-vi

[a] decision by Army Secretary John McHugh [which] follows a change in the medals’ eligibility criteria mandated by Congress, according to the Army announcement. It also comes after a years-long battle by the victims and their families in the aftermath of what was the worst shooting rampage on a U.S. military installation.

Thirteen people [sic; one of the soldiers was pregnant] were killed and more than 30 wounded in the November 2009 attack by former Maj. Nidal Hasan.

Hasan was convicted in August 2013 of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted murder.dof-medal

Civilian victims are now eligible for the PHM counterpart, the Secretary of Defense Medal for the Defense of Freedom, an award forged by Donald Rumsfeld in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

This is, of course, good news. However this decision bids a few question. Before I ask those questions, let’s remember the original purpose of the Purple Heart medal: to recognize the physical sacrifice(s) of those who engage/are attacked by the enemy.

Excerpts from Wikipedia:

  1. Dated February 23, 1984, Executive Order 12464, authorized award of the Purple Heart as a result of terrorist attacks, or while serving as part of a peacekeeping force, subsequent to March 28, 1973.
  2. Public Law 99-145 authorized the award for wounds received as a result offriendly fire.
  3. The Purple Heart is awarded in the name of the President of the United States to any member of the Armed Forces of the United States who, while serving under competent authority in any capacity with one of the U.S. Armed Services after April 5, 1917, has been wounded or killed. Specific examples of services which warrant the Purple Heart include any action against an enemy of the United States; any action with an opposing armed force of a foreign country in which the Armed Forces of the United States are or have been engaged; while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party; as a result of an act of any such enemy of opposing armed forces; or as the result of an act of any hostile foreign force.
  4. After 28 March 1973, as a result of an international terrorist attack against the United States or a foreign nation friendly to the United States, recognized as such an attack by the Secretary of the Army, or jointly by the Secretaries of the separate armed services concerned if persons from more than one service are wounded in the attack.
  5. The Purple Heart is not awarded for non-combat injuries.

The changed eligibility criteria in the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act is described as follows.

Congress redefined what should be considered an attack by a “foreign terrorist organization,” according to the Army. The legislation states that an event should now be considered an attack by such an organization if the perpetrator “was in communication with the foreign terrorist organization before the attack,” and “the attack was inspired or motivated by the foreign terrorist organization.”

It isn’t surprising, however, that the lawyers who represent most of the families of the victims have harsh words for the bureaucracy which kept the medal criteria from being changed for so long. Remember the phrase “workplace violence?”

Now here are my questions.

  1. Does the president have to sign this change?
  2. If so, has he?
  3. If he hasn’t, do you think he will find a way to get out of it?
  4. If he already has, what will it mean toward his policy toward “radical” Islam?
  5. Will he get back up on his high horse about terrorist attacks workplace violence terrorist attacks in the name of religion?

I’ll wager that the answer to number five is ‘yes.’

*Title change.

Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Alexandria, Egypt

In my new surroundings, I’ve had opportunity to make a new friend. Gary,* an Egyptian immigrant in his 40s, is a security guard in the area and is a Coptic Christian. When he discovered that I knew a little bit about the history of the Copts and their present-day persecution, he almost jumped for joy, as I was the first American he had met in his five years in the USA who knew anything about that church or what has been happening to them.

Gary’s English is very good, but as our conversations gets more complicated, it’s becomes more difficult for him, of course. Well, his English is certainly a heck of a lot better than my Arabic—his native language. (Gary stressed that Egyptians had their own language but were forced to learn Arabic in order to function in the country.)

When I asked how he was adapting to America, he said that he and his wife were having a hard time, but his children had adapted quickly, as these things usually go. For him, that was the main reason to leave: to protect his children—all girls.

At first, he mispronounced the word ‘rapist,’ using a short ‘a’ sound instead of a long one; I helped him out.

I had read about the extermination and “ethnic” cleansing of the Church in Egypt, Syria and Iraq—along with the destruction of church buildings which had stood for nearly 2000 years–but hearing about these things from the mouth of a man who had seen it for himself, filled me with shame about the spoiled Christians in this country. Forget about the feminists, who are grateful for nothing; we Christians have had it so good for so long, that I don’t think most of us can wrap our minds around the kinds of Enemy attacks which our brothers and sisters in Christ are experiencing right this very second at the hands of the foot soldiers in the ascending New Caliphate.

In that spirit, I have begun to pray for the church that exists in Muslim-run countries and for Gary and his family specifically. Also I’m always ready to learn more about Church history and I hope you are, too.

I’m starting here.

*Not his real name; some minor details of his biography are changed.

The latest in our series of posts that will not surprise any person who has been paying attention.

Today’s installment comes a post from Robert Spencer’s Jihad’s Watch on a case in England from this story in the Indian Express

An Indian-origin Islamist activist facing trial on terrorism charges skipped bail and fled the country with his family on Wednesday, headed through Paris to the Islamic State, British media have reported. The escape, first revealed by The Daily Mail, came after Abu Rumaysah failed to surrender his passport, a condition of his bail, and has led to opposition charges of police incompetence.

Seriously, they didn’t get the passport first before they let him out on bail?  Well it must be because he wasn’t charged with anything series lie inciting terrorist, oh wait….

Born Siddhartha Dhar, to a family Indian diplomatic sources in London told The Indian Express was of Bihar-Bengal origin, Abu Rumaysah had been arrested in September along with nine others, on charges of inciting terrorism, as part of an ongoing investigation of the London-based pro-jihadist group al-Muhajiroun.

Well nobody finds this more unexpected that Robert Spencer who writes…

He was forbidden to leave the country; Britain wants to keep its jihadis. But he eluded authorities, which is no doubt very easy to do in Clueless Britannia, and fled to the Islamic State. But not to worry, Abu Rumaysah, if you have “good intentions,” you can come back whenever you wish and be showered with goods by the Ministry of Appeasement.

The real question what is the source of this story’s place in the “Unexpectedly Chronicles”, that a supporter of Jihad in the west flouts law or that a bureaucracy is this inefficient?

FYI have you seen Robert Spencer’s latest book?

Or perhaps some of his other ones?

By now, everyone knows that a woman was beheaded in a Moore, NolenOklahoma workplace by a Muslim–one who was terminated from that same workplace for proselytizing there. It also appears that this Muslim–Alton Alexander Nolen aka Ja’Keem Yisrael–was a repeat felon. None of his felonies were nearly as violent as the act he committed against Colleen Hufford (murdered) and Traci Johnson (critically injured). (Ms. Johnson might have been beheaded also, were it not for Mark Vaughn, who ended this particular jihad by shooting Nolen three times. This is Oklahoma we’re talking about, after all)

It’s interesting to speculate as to the spiritual path on which Nolen traveled. He was a felon, but only a small-time one. Drug felonies, mostly, and the worst thing he did before the murder was to seriously injure an OK sate trooper while resisting arrest. That, in itself, is bad enough. But the beheading is a giant leap into criminality…or, rather, a giant descent.

Roger L. Simon asks whether our prisons have become jihad factories. It is a rhetorical question, to be sure. Muslims have been actively proselytizing and gaining prison converts for decades. I’m guessing that the most famous one was Malcolm X, who converted in the late 1950s. Nolen reportedly converted to Islam a few years back during one of his stays in prison.

The Apostle Paul said that each individual is always heading in a singular direction–either to Heaven or to Hell–and that every step that each of us takes is one step toward the final destination. I submit that Nolen took one huge step toward his when he converted to Islam–an ideology which exhorts its believers to, first, invite infidels to convert, then give them a choice between converting and being beheaded.

The murder is merely a beacon as to where Nolen’s final rest might be.

I say “might” because Nolen is still breathing. Some might say, unfortunately, but because he is still breathing, their is a chance that he can make a 180-degree spiritual turn. (Just to be clear, this is not a commentary on any earthly penalties which he will likely pay.)

Along this train of thought, I began to think about Christians who minister to prisoners. I don’t know whether Christian prison ministries have a higher or lower “success rate” than do their Islamic counterparts, but I don’t think it matters. What I do think matters: that we Christians pray for and support those who go into the earthly dens of iniquity and tell the captives of sin how to get free.

And we should also pray for the captives themselves; that they will hear and heed the voice of God the Father. And that they will do so before their Enemy–and ours–leads them to a fate worse than death.

This post originally appeared at my old blog in 2010–a response to a person who called me “dumb” and implied that IBaldilocks mini was a “traitor to my race” for opposing the building of the Ground Zero Mosque. That may seem ridiculous on its face, but it points to a deeper deception: that Islam is a “black religion” because of its widespread presence on the African continent.

We have seen the actions of groups like Boko Haram and ISIS as they conquer non-Muslims: they murder/castrate the men and boys and sell the women and girls into sex slavery. What fewer people know is that this is a 1400-year pattern for Islamic conquerors. They are merely following their leader.

And what a minority of black Americans know is that, for nearly that entire time period–well before the European slavers and colonialists noticed the continent–black Africa was continually subject to this Islamic onslaught, with the usual choice offered.

One might call Islam “Africa’s death,” regardless of the choice each individual black African has made.

In 2008, I posted the following video via YouTube. It had been part of a series which exposed the truth about the Islamic Civilization with special emphasis on the horrors of the Trans-Saharan Slave Trade.  My intent was to counter the exhortations of Barack Obama’s former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, and the like-minded who continue to excoriate America and the rest of Western Civilization for past sins against black African Slaves and Americans of African descent.

dandelions (1)

The weeds of fear are the favored crop of any terrorist.

Two years after that bit of unpleasantness in New York City, in Washington, DC, and in the Pennsylvania countryside, I wrote this:

Terrorists commit their acts not for the benefit of the dead, but for those who remain alive. “Look at what we’ll do to you and yours,” they say, “if you don’t do what we want you to do.” They revel in our horror. They rejoice in the sorrow of the families who will never bury the atomized [or beheaded] bodies of their loved ones. They say, “yeah, we did it and we’ll do it to you unless you….submit.”

Does anyone remember the story of Emmett Till? Several years before I was born, Till, fourteen-years-old, was the victim of another set of terrorists. This young black man, not knowing or not caring about the ways of the South of that period, was murdered for allegedly making an indecent remark to a white woman. He disappeared and, days later, his body, beaten and shot, was found in a river. The men who were tried for his murder were acquitted. Emmett’s murder wasn’t an isolated case of a man supposedly defending the honor of his wife. As we know, all over the South, black men were being murdered for “stepping out of their place,” whether they actually had stepped out of their “place” or not.

Those who committed these crimes did so not only for “revenge” on the dead, but to send a message to and strike fear in the living. That’s what made it terrorism. Sound familiar?

In 2001 (and 1968 and 1979 and 1983 and 1988 and 1993 and 1998 and 2003 [added: and in 2014] and every year in between), the players are different from that of 1955, but the message is the same: do what we want or this will happen to you or to those whom you love. In this case, it is “worship in the way we worship; bow five times a day to Mecca or else.”

I mention the Till case not to compare the two sets of terrorists, per se, but to compare the dissimilar reactions of the victims’ loved ones. Mamie Till, Emmett’s mother, had an open-casket funeral for her son. […]

[Till’s] head–monstrous from the beating, the bullet and the decomposition–contrasted against the normalcy of the casket and the suit that Mrs. Till had picked out for the body. It gave the picture that much more ugliness: your worst nightmare in banal black and white.

But Mamie Till’s steely words about the open-casket decision were electrifying: “I want the world to see what they did to my son.”

Well, the “world” did see and, though there was much more sorrow to be had–as it is with any major upheaval of a society–things changed. Some of us even think that things have changed for the better…such home-grown types of terrorists still exist, but when caught, they usually sit on death row rather sit at home having beers with their friends. We can send our message as well.

Keep sowing, jihadis. Most of us are good at pulling up weeds–and at cleaning metal.Baldilocks mini

As a general rule we tend to mourn those who make us laugh more than almost anyone else because everyone loves and needs laughter and how to do pay back someone who does that for you?

Robin Williams personifies that statement.

As you might guess it is wall to wall coverage, the Williams story has trumped absolutely everything else.

At a time when war is going on in Ukraine and we wonder if Russia is going to go into in and turn the new cold war into a new hot war,

At a time when Hamas is launching rockers and Israel is fighting back while anti-Semitism is openly running rampant in Europe to the point where people are invoking Hitler & the ovens without shame,

At a time when a suburb of St. Louis is preparing to explode over a confrontation between a police officer and a young black man,

At a time Ebola is preparing to spread

and At a time when Iraq falls apart while Isis is slaughtering those who do not convert and starving millions on a mountain.

The apparent suicide of a comic, however funny would seem unworthy of such coverage, and I tweeted thus:

Just in case you think our Arab friends are only worried about killing “Westerners & Jews” comes this

An explosion tore through a bus carrying South Korean Christian tourists from Sinai to the Israeli border on Sunday, killing four people and wounding around 15.

The Egyptian Interior Ministry said three tourists and an Egyptian bus driver died in the attack, adding that the bus had been traveling to Israel from St. Catherine’s Monastery, a popular tourist destination in southern Sinai.

the blast, caught live here caused Israel to dispatch Ambulances…however

As Robert Spencer put it

Islamic antisemitism trumps all humanitarian concerns. And if you think there is something wrong with those priorities, then you’re obviously a bigoted, hatemongering Islamophobe. It is much better that people die than that they be aided by Zionist ambulances, Infidel!

That is a black mark against the government and if the Muslim Brotherhood was smart they would take advantage of it and they strongly condemned it on their English language site

The Muslim Brotherhood strongly condemns in the strongest possible terms the cowardly attack on a tourist bus in the town of Taba.

well that sounds good, as long as you don’t get their tweets in Arabic

Because South Korea is filled with Zionists Robert Spencer again.

Such lovely people, the Ikhwan.

I’d feel a lot more sorry for the Muslim Brotherhood if I did’t see their overthrow as the modern version of the Germans kicking the Nazi’s out in ’38

Casablanca 1942

It is no secret that I’m a big supporter of Pam Geller & Robert Spencer but being fairly ignorant on the David Stein stuff I’ll simply say this:

I’ve never understood the willingness of people, particularly on the right to go after Pam & Robert. I particularly don’t get the people who seem to have it in their minds they are all in this for the cash.

Let me remind everyone that if Pam & Robert were willing to lend their voices to the other side they would find the financial rewards quite satisfactory, I suspect that would be true even if they were willing to just shut up, plus they could send their bodyguards home.

Yet they fight on.

If that doesn’t clue you in, I don’t know what will.

That is all.

Yesterday after talking to Stephanie Ong Stillman the Director of communications of the SF DA’s office and finding the SF press conference while condemning Pam Geller’s ads, was not going to be condemning either the quotes in the ads or the people who said them I was in a big hurry to do two things before the 4 PM press conference.

1. Get my post up

2. Get the word out to other bloggers before the press conference.

Why? Because I imagined that given the conversation we had the people involved were bound to include at least a “pro-forma” condemnation of the quotes themselves and the people who said them as a throwaway line. As Robert Spencer later put it:

It would have been easy to throw in a line about deploring the “twisted version of Islam” enunciated by the jihadis depicted in the ads

and I wanted to be sure that the refusal to condemn those words initially was on the record first.

Pam managed to get something up before the conference but with short notice nobody else did.

So today I looked for coverage of the story to see if they anyone reported any such condemnation. To my surprise I found very little coverage of the event itself, perhaps SF city officials condemn so many things so often maybe it just isn’t news, but I did find a little bit of coverage, first, the Virginia Gazette covered the story:

Some critics of the ads say a case could be made for the city to refuse to carry such messages on its buses on the grounds they violate the Metropolitan Transportation Agency policy against running “false, misleading or deceptive” advertising.

But MTA spokesman Paul Rose said doing so would likely embroil the financially beleaguered agency in a costly and possibly futile legal fight.

Well considering the ads are direct quotes from people who said them, the whole “false, misleading or deceptive” business is a problem.

The Gazette doesn’t say there was any condemnation either the quotes themselves, or the people who said them originally. So lets check the SF gate piece:

City leaders including Mayor Ed Lee, District Attorney George Gascón and Supervisors David Chiu, John Avalos, London Breed, Malia Cohen, Jane Kim, Scott Wiener and Norman Yee immediately condemned the advertisements as racist and “Islamophobic.”

“These offensive ads serve no purpose than to denigrate our city’s Arab and Muslim communities,” said Gascón.

Nope guess not. Their refusal to condemn the words themselves or the people who spoke the says volumes, but there is one thing they are doing right:

The transit agency will also run its own “Peace” ad campaign that will appear inside 100 buses and feature messages against discrimination and promoting respect and love.

That’s fine, answering speech you dislike with more speech is the American way, and by a coincidence exactly what AFCI did.

Locally SF channel 5 lead with the story:

The report does acknowledge the quotes are from terrorists and includes commentary from Pam but still we don’t see if any of the assembled city officials were outraged by the word and the people who said them in addition to the AFDI ads.

The Bottom line, these people had a perfect chance to show that they, while objecting to the AFDI ads, did not support the statements within, it would have been the easiest thing in the world. It would have been both the right thing, and the smart thing.

It didn’t happen.

Final thought. Stephanie Ong Stillman the Director of communications who talked to me, is not likely the person making the decisions. She is the press contact. She was polite and answered questions when she could have blown me off. Several post on the subject include her contact info, if you choose to call to object remember be nice, this wasn’t her call. It’s not just the smart thing, it’s the right thing.

Hazel:  Is cowslip coming?  Maybe he knows.

Fiver:  He wouldn’t  come.  He told me to stop talking about it

Watership Down 1978 Richard Adams

Pam Geller just put up this post concerning a press conference that is scheduled to take place in San Francisco at 4 PM EST (1 PM SF time)

City leaders will hold a press conference to denounce Islamophobic and racist advertisements by the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI). Last August, San Franciscans were outraged over AFDI advertisements on MUNI that referred to Arabs and Muslims as “savages.” The new ads scheduled to run on MUNI buses today wrongly suggest that all Muslims are defined by extremism and violence. Board President David Chiu will introduce a resolution condemning the anti-Arab and Anti-Muslim advertisements at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.

The ads are a spoof of the “That’s My Jihad ads”. ADFI’s ads quote Islamic terrorists’ message on Jihad. It contains the picture of the terrorist with the direct quote, for example the ad linked at Pam’s site says:

“Jihad, holy fighting in Allah’s cause with full force of numbers and weaponry, is…an obligation and duty in Islam on every Muslim.” Times Square car bomber Faisal Shahzad

That’s his Jihad. What’s yours?

The press release contained contact information so being a curious sort I gave them a call and spoke to Stephanie Ong Stillman, the Director of Communications. She was kind enough with a busy event before her to give me some of her time.

I asked about the press conference to find out if it would streamed (it will not be) and then I asked the why they were condemning the ads. Stephanie said the ads were racist and Islamophobic portraying all Muslims as Terrorists.

Fair enough, that’s their opinion, so I went a step further: I asked if the supervisors will be condemning the Words on the ads or the Bomber or said them? After all if the ads are offensive then the words on the ads must also be offensive not to mention the bomber who spoke them.

She answered:  No. They would only be condemning the ads themselves.

This seemed odd to me, so I asked a 2nd time. “So there will be no condemnation of the words of the terrorist in question or the bombing?”

A second time she said No, they are only condemning the ads.

Being a fair minded man and considering with an important event coming up (no I don’t mean the WBC finals important though they are) she was kind enough to give me a few minutes I gave her another chance and asked one more time.

Nope. They are only going to condemn the ads.

At this time she excused herself and I quite understand, big press conference and a lot to do.

So let’s  review.

1.  Faisal Shahzad: Confessed to 10 counts on a federal indictment for an Attempted Car Bombing in Times Square >NOT CONDEMNED BY SF DA, Board President, Supervisors SFMTA or SF Human Rights Commission.

2.  Faisal Shazad words:

“Jihad, holy fighting in Allah’s cause with full force of numbers and weaponry, is…an obligation and duty in Islam on every Muslim.”

NOT CONDEMNED BY SF DA, Board President, Supervisors SFMTA or SF Human Rights Commission.

3.  AFDI puts up an ad containing those words, attributing them to the man who tried to Bomb Times square. CONDEMNED BY DA, Board President, Supervisors SFMTA or SF Human Rights Commission.

So just remember guys, Say whatever violent and inflammatory thing you want, try to Bomb and Murder Americans and the leaders in San Fransisco won’t have a problem with you. But if you put your words on an ad in the subway That’s beyond the pale!

If you can explain that logic, you’re a smarter man than me.

Update:  Since this post will precede the press conference it will be interesting to see if this changes

Update 2: The Virginia Gazette and SF gate report on the conference, no sign of condemning the words or the terrorists or pols who said them. Amazing

…If the thought of the Syrian rebels with chemicals didn’t get you worried perhaps this interview with Sky News might catch your eye:

The men only became animated when I showed a little knowledge of Salafist ideology and brought up the works of Islamists such as the Egyptian Sayyid Qutb.

This led to a question about the future of Syria’s minorities such as the Christians. Ahmed, Basah, and Hamid Hassan all agreed – Christians could only live there if they either converted, or paid the ‘Jizyah’ – a special tax levied on non-Muslims in previous centuries in the Middle East. If not said Bahar, they could be killed. (emphasis mine)

When asked why, the answer was, to them, quite simple – because the Prophet Mohammed said so. I was then invited to become a Muslim.

The conversation verged on the surreal. There we were talking in a quite friendly manner, with the occasional joke, about killing people because they wouldn’t pay the Jizyah, which critics regard as effectively obtaining money through menaces.

The interview ended with Ahmed volunteering that eventually Muslims must reclaim Andalucia in Spain for the Islamic Caliphate.

Let’s stipulate that it is in Syria’s interest to present these type of prisoners to the western world and that Syria has not been reticent about supporting these types in Iraq. None of this changes the fact that these are the folks we are going to be dealing with very soon once Assad falls. As Jihad watch put it:

“Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” — Qur’an 9:29

Muslim spokesmen in the West routinely claim that this verse has no applicability in the modern world. They’re lying.

Just a reminder, as a Christian I’m a “person of the book” our friends who do not believe will not get off so easy.

Progress in securing rights and opportunities for women in Islam have been few and far between yet another lady has shown that Jihad is one area where women continue to challenge the glass ceiling.

A Quebec activist who fought the stereotyping of Muslims was charged with supporting terrorism on Friday after an RCMP investigation linked her to an alleged scheme to smuggle weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Mouna Diab, 26, was charged with committing a crime “for the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a terrorist group,” the RCMP said in a statement. She faces a possible life sentence if convicted.

The Laval woman was arrested at Montreal’s Trudeau airport last year and accused of violating an international arms embargo targeting Lebanon, but police added the far more serious terrorism charge on Friday.

I am women here I come watch me go and run some guns…

Update: It does make sense in one respect, women have been a major part of the Israeli armed forces for years.

The Pentagon under Obama has made an interesting decision.

Pushed by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) the Pentagon removed a target in their shooting range depicting an Islamic Woman with a gun

In their objection CAIR said:

Nihad Awad, executive director of the Washington-based council, said in the letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta that the target “is offensive and sends a negative and counterproductive message to trainees and to the Muslim-majority nations to which they may be deployed.”

With a Obama administration ever mindful of Islamic Sensibilities the Pentagon pulled the target figuring that of course we aren’t going to be seeing Islamic Women doing these kind of attacks…

…apparently they have never met Samantha Lewthwaite.

Samantha Lewthwaite, 28, who is wanted for possessing explosives and conspiring to make bombs, has been on the run with her three children since she escaped a swoop on terrorist suspects in Mombasa in December.

She has now been linked to last Sunday’s attack on the Jericho Beer Garden in the Kenyan city.

But but CAIR told us Islamic women just don’t DO these kind of things

“Yes, I am woman but I am woman who believes in Jihad and supremacy of Islam.

“With all this pressure I broke down in tears… Jihad is an obligation that we must accept – so today I’m over my fear and my tears are dry.”

I am women watch me kill…

No word from CAIR yet if they think her actions are “offensive and sends a negative and counterproductive message”. Or perhaps Feminists noting her husband was one of the 7/7 suicide bombers consider this a triumph for Women’s equality in Islam. After all not only has she carried out her attack but unlike her husband as he had the good sense not to blow herself up has the ability to kill again

Anyone you can kill I can kill better…

Perhaps if they haven’t destroyed the target they can send it to England.

Update: DaWife points out that she is not only killing people just as good as a man but is doing so while on the run with three children in tow.

I wonder what Anne Marie Slaughter will say about that?

Update 2: Let me point out that Pam Geller who deserves special mention for finding this story. The days of the jihadists will be numbered when people start listening to Pam.

Yesterday Robert Spencer spoke at the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire in an event sponsored by New Hampshire for Israel. The topic was: “Is Resistance to Jihad Terror a Right-Wing Issue?” 120 people showed up for the event.

Robert Spoke to me before the event:

He brought a fair supply of books

And signed plenty when he was done

I shot parts of his speech, in six parts:

What else do you call someone who says this: (emphasis mine)

As she returned to her family home in northern Gaza, Wafa al-Bis insisted she would seize any opportunity to mount another suicide mission and encouraged dozens of cheering schoolchildren to follow her example.

Bis was one of hundreds of Palestinian militants freed by Israel on Tuesday in the first phase of a prisoner swap agreed with Hamas, Gaza’s Islamist overlords, to win the freedom of Sgt Maj Shalit after five years in solitary confinement.

Well Hamas considers itself at war with Israel so I’m sure she had a military target in mind:

Her target, Israel says, was a hospital where she had been given permission to seek treatment for burns she sustained in a gas tank explosion. She never got there. Stopped by suspicious Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint on Gaza’s border, she was discovered with 22lb of explosives sewn into a belt inside her underwear. Bis tried to blow herself up but the detonator malfunctioned.

Hey it’s not like her family backs her on this:

Bis’s mother Salma said she had no idea of her daughter’s mission — but added that she felt she had no choice but to encourage her in her chosen course of life. “This is Jihad, it is an honourable thing and I am proud of her,” she said.

Let’s be blunt: Hamas is at war with Israel, and admit it or not Israel is at war with Hamas. Israel should not be allowing “Palestinians” from Gaza into Israel for any reason. I don’t know if Israel uses Drones, but this woman is a self-proclaimed terrorist who declares she will try to kill again. They are rather expensive but If Israel ever decided to target her with one, I’m OK with it.

Oh and Israel, two words when it comes to Terrorists captured attempting to kill Israelis: Death Penalty!

Update: Missing link put in.

Well actually his opinion piece is actually titled titled:

Wisconsin governor is waging jihad against unions

And the piece starts so:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) jihad against public employee unions is about 30 years late and likely to make Republicans even less popular with voters, who endorse collective bargaining rights for public employees — professionals for whom they have abiding respect.

But but I thought Jihad was an internal struggle and we in the west totally islamophobic if we suggest otherwise? Let me give Mr. Melman a clue. This is Jihad:

This is not

I await to see Melman’s reaction when the next Islamic act of “internal struggle” takes place.

Update: I didn’t have to wait long

German officials said shots were fired “near or on” a bus carrying US soldiers Wednesday, killing at least two people.

An airport spokesman said shooting took place in front of Terminal 2 of what is continental Europe’s second-biggest hub

and the people involved?

The German police arrested a 21-year-old man from Kosovo on suspicion of involvement in the shooting.

Well of course this man must be involved in the Republican Party in Wisconsin, after all that’s where Jihad is taking place, right Mark Melman?

Or maybe its the return of the Flemish Menace?

Heather Robinson of Big Peace has a new interview with former slave and foe of Jihad Simon Deng:

Deng, now a human rights activist whose historic 300-mile “Freedom Walk” in the spring of 2006 gained him an audience with former President George W. Bush, discusses his escape from slavery; and efforts he and other South Sudanese Christians made during the 1990’s to raise awareness about the threat of terrorism emanating from Sudan. In a segment to appear tomorrow, Deng will discuss the plight of Christian and animist South Sudanese today; the condition of South Sudanese Christians in Israel; and his high hopes for South Sudanese independence.

I met Simon Deng during CPAC last year. and he is an inspiration, here is my interview with him along with Barbara Espinosa (who will be my guest on DaTechGuy on DaRadio this weekend at 9 p.m. EST)

Deng is an international treasure, don’t miss this interview.

The GOP may be the enemy but the Flemish Menace continues to plot:

A Virginia man has been arrested for allegedly trying to help Al Qaeda plan multiple bombings around the nation’s capital, according to U.S. officials.

Farooque Ahmed, 34, of Ashburn, Va., was arrested today by the FBI and charged with providing material support to terrorists and collecting information for a terrorist attack.

Farooque Ahmed? HA we know his real name is: Dirk Jenkin Cornelis Niclays Van Dyke, yet another radical lee-lander and nothing at all to do with Al Qaeda or Islam which we all know is actually a religion of peace

They can’t fool us.

It looks like yet another member of the Religion of Peace The Flemish Menace has discovered a way to attack the US:

A New York-born man tried to join U.S. forces so he could desert and “wage war” against them for the Taliban or other radical groups abroad, according to the FBI.

Abdel Hamdeed Shehadeh, 21, who now lives in Hawaii, has been charged with lying to federal agents by denying that he wanted to do fighting against the U.S. military, NBC News reported.

Well yeah Abdel Hamdeed Shehadeh may SOUND Islamic but dig deep enough and I’ll bet you will find his real name is Jooris Cornelis Gheeraert de Thoseyn or something.

And did you know that Jihad is actually a Flemish term? Nothing at all to do with anything remotely Islamic.

So don’t let people fool you. There is no such thing as radical Islam, it’s the Flemish menace I tell you!

Your guide to the Flemish Menace!

After all this post doesn’t sound like any kind of a Joke. Does it?
