“As I watch a great number of my fellow Americans and virtually all of the mainstream media descend further and further into irrational and immoral hysteria — regularly calling the president of the United States and all of his supporters Nazis, white supremacists and the like; harassing Republicans where they eat, shop and live; ending family ties and lifelong friendships with people who support the president; declaring their opposition to Trump and the Republican Party the “Resistance,” as if they were American reincarnations of the French who fought real Nazis in World War II; and so on — I ask myself: What is going on? How does one explain them?”
Dennis Prager, Explaining American Leftists: Part I.

John Edwards, the disgraced presidential candidate and the 2004 Democratic nominee, complained that that there were “two Americas.” Essentially a rich American and a poor one.

Now we have a liberal America and a conservative one. Prager, as I often do, prefers to use “leftist” to describe the former, a word that angers many, well, leftists. That is because liberal, in the classical sense, once meant open-minded. Leftists can’t tolerate opposing viewpoints, whether that issue is health care, illegal immigration (oops, I’m sorry, undocumented workers), taxes, or climate change.

Liberals are right, people like myself are always wrong.

As for global warning, (oops again, I mean climate change), environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is disappointed that there are no laws to punish climate change deniers. Ah yes, deniers, as in holocaust deniers. What is more illogical than a denier? And what happens to people, like myself, who could be jailed for being a climate change skeptic? Will I be committed to the psychiatric ward and pumped with drugs, a torture some Soviet dissidents endured, because of some blog posts of mine or because of some Facebook comments I made? If someone can be locked up for a scientific  belief, all options could be on the table.

Oh yeah, Facebook. While sifting through some old photographs at my late mother’s home, I found some class photos, which I posted on Facebook, and I tagged some of those ancient–yes, I mean ancient–classmates on the social networking site. Only I discovered many of them weren’t FB friends anymore, they unfriended me. Every single one of those unfriends is a liberal. Outside of pornbots (I’m more selective in the friend selection process now) and pyramid schemers, I’ve never unfriended anyone on Facebook. I have the maturity and liberalness (in the classical sense, of course) to look past political differences, musical tastes, and sports team loyalties to find other ways of bonding. Others clearly do not, at least in regards to politics.

As for the unfriending by leftists, don’t take it from me. The Washington Post, reporting on a Pew Research study, said “liberals are more likely to block or unfriend someone online because they disagree with something they have posted.”

Looking past my own little and of course twisted right-wing world, I have reams of evidence, not real paper reams, the production of which contributes to the melting of the polar ice caps and of course the end of planet.

Here we go:

Just last week Sen. Ted Cruz and his wife were hounded out of a restaurantt by screaming leftists over the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination while they tried to dine at a Washington restaurant. Three months ago Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen endured similar treatment while she was having dinner, and a few days later White house Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were denied service at a Virginia restaurant because she works for President Donald Trump.

Here’s a story about a Washington woman who ran a Craig’s List ad for a roommate. “Alcohol, pets and meat products are not allowed in the house,” she wrote. Okay, so far so good. “Neither are Trump supporters,” she added. There have been similar ads elsewhere.

In California a woman selling her house stipulated that she would not entertain offers from supporters of the president. She later slashed the offering price by $100,000.

On the rare occasions a conservative speaker is invited to a college campus, the result is usually an angry and often violent protest that sometimes leads to a cancellation by panicked administrators.

Free speech, anyone?

Now, assuming they’ve read this far, I have a question for my dwindling roster of liberal friends. Where are the incidents where the reverse happened, that is, conservatives harassing or refusing to provide service to liberals? Which liberal pundits have been forced off a university campus? List these occurrences in the comments section. Go ahead, do it. I can take a punch.

Back to Washington: Here’s a story about Trump and GOP staffers having difficulty finding people to date there. Wow, even Shrek found love and settled down in the Swamp.

To the left conservatives aren’t just wrong, they’re evil That’s a dangerous totalitarian mindset that could lead to violence.

Wait, that already happened. US Rep Steve Scalise (R-LA), the House Majority Whip, and several others were shot at a practice of the Congressional Republican baseball team last year. The shooter was a longtime leftist activist who inquired just beforehand if the team was a Democratic or Republican one.

By no means has Michael Moore ever been a Trump supporter. After being wrong–in my opinion at least–for decades, he issued the grand slam of all political forecasts two years ago when he predicted Trump’s surprise victory. Of Trump supporters he said at the time, “They’re not racist or rednecks, they’re actually pretty decent people.”

And we are decent.

Early next year the first round of the Chicago mayoral election will be held, If no candidate achieves a majority, then the top two face each other in a runoff.

The two-term incumbent, Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s first chief of staff, is running, as are several other candidates, each with baggage, including former Chicago Police superintendent Garry McCarthy, who Emanuel fired after the details of the shooting of Laquan McDonald became public, political gadfly and ex-Chicago Public Schools head Paul Vallas, and Cook County Circuit Court Clerk Dorothy Brown, whose office is under federal investigation.

There is a one person who could wipe the floor with Rahm and these other candidates and easily avoid a runoff. Take a look at his resume: He served in the Illinois state senate and the US Senate He held an executive political office for eight years. He is loved by many business leaders, in fact, his smartphone is probably packed with the private phone numbers of hundreds of CEOs. He is quite adept at political fundraising. This man has a solid base in Chicago and beyond, in fact, he is one of the most adored people on the planet.

Of course I’m talking about Barack Obama, the 44th president of the United States. After Chicago’s most violent weekend of the year, Emanuel was hapless as he tried to act as the healer. On the other hand, such touchy-feely stuff comes natural to Obama. When the House and Senate was in Democratic control, Obama was quite skillful–to be fair, Emanuel helped–in pushing his left-wing agenda.  When the House and then the Senate became Republican-majority bodies, Obama’s magic vanished. But no worries–of Chicago’s 50 alderman, 49 are Democrats.

Chicago’s Northwest Side

Obama, with his sonorous voice, like Liam Neeson’s Aslan character from the Narnia series, can give Chicago’s 2.7 million-and-declining residents feel-good speeches on demand. Of course a half-hour later, it’s hard to recall what Obama actually said in those pep talks, other than “hope and change.”

But what about Chicago’s problems? They are legion–besides the murder count, Chicago suffers more murders annually than New York City and Los Angeles combined. The spike in Chicago’s murder rate. not coincidentally, began after the city signed on to an ACLU decree in 2015 that greatly decreased stop-and-frisks. Arrests went down. Murders went up. Chicago’s public schools, which Vallas of course used to run, are among the worst in the nation. The various pension systems in Chicago, are among America’s most poorly funded public retirement systems. Pensions for decades have been a way for Chicago politicians to utilize as a kick-the-can-down-the-road system to reward their union pals. Emanuel and the City Council have been raising property taxes in an attempt, probably futile, to dig Chicago out of this pension hole.

What else? Chicagoans pay the highest sales tax rate in America. There is even a tax on plastic bags. Red-light cameras are seemingly everywhere. The cameras, we are told. are there to deter speeding and prevent accidents, Chicago’s decrepit streets should be an encouragement enough to obey the speed limit and arguably red-light cameras cause accidents.

Chicago is a miserable place to live in but it’s problems are not intractable. Unless, that is, you are a leftist mayor. Let’s start with crime “If you want crime to go up,” Jeff Sessions said a few months ago, “let the ACLU run the police department. If you want public safety, call the professionals.” But would a Mayor Obama cross his beloved ACLU.? Of course not. Let’s move on to pensions. I believe that Chicago is near the tipping point where tax increases will bring negative returns. More people will move out, property values will decline, and then it will become a free-fall. The pension guarantee in the Illinois constitution needs to removed, which is something that Jeanne Ives, who narrowly lost to incumbent governor Bruce Rauner, favors. But a Mayor Obama would never used the bully pulpit to fight for this kind of change.

Oh, on a side note, I have several friends and relatives collecting municipal and state pensions. Yes, a pension is a promise, but please direct your anger at the pols who created this mess.

In The Simpsons Movie, Homer is handed $1,000 when he crosses the Alaskan border. In Chicago people’s pockets are seemingly picked by that same amount when they enter the city limits. Chicago has always been a place where government-sanctioned grifters run amok.

Liberals love high taxes because it gives them more money to unleash their social engineering schemes. So please don’t imagine that a Mayor Obama could be a tax-cutter.

But lower taxes–including the elimination of nuisance taxes–will make Chicago a more livable place and the type of city Americans will flock to, once the other problems Chicago faces are dealt with. And government revenues will go up, as public-officials are a poor spender of monies. Meanwhile, some Chicago liberals have bandied about “solutions” to its fiscal calamity that include a municipal income tax and a commuter tax. Ask Detroit how those are working out for it.

So yes, Barack Obama will not run for mayor of Chicago. Sure, he probably sees any job other than president of the world beneath him. But also, if he has an honest moment with himself, he’ll ascertain that if he adheres to his leftist dogma as Chicago’s mayor, he’ll be setting himself up for failure.

And he’ll be setting Chicago up for even more failure.

The left is getting lefter. There’s no doubt the Democratic Party is pushing towards socialism and communism with “independent” Bernie Sanders leading the charge. I hear a lot of conservative commentaries welcoming this lurch. We need to be careful what we wish because, as we all know, voters can be swayed quickly with limited information and a good sales pitch.

They’re talking about Medicare-for-all. We know this is a horrific idea. Even Sanders himself admitted as much 30-years-ago. That hasn’t stopped the push. We need to be cognizant of it and be prepared to counter it with full force. Don’t take for granted that people can be easily shown how it would bankrupt the country. There are plenty of people who hear about $20 trillion debts, debt ceilings, busted budgets, and the federal reserve and think, “If I get free healthcare, who cares what the number crunchers in DC have to do to get me there?”

Remember how many people were shocked that Obamacare wasn’t free? Well, this IS “free” so millions will call for it regardless of the consequences. The Democrats are learning this. Their research is telling them they may have a winner if they nurture it. Many are willing to set aside logic and fiscal responsibility if it means taking back the House and the Senate. Don’t disregard this as impossible.

The hot topic lately has been about guns for obvious reasons. This is an area where there’s a little less complacency from the right, but it’s still almost impossible to imagine an America that completely disregards or repeals the 2nd Amendment. Folks, it really could happen and not as far in the future as most believe. Gun control pushes today are the first domino in a string that leads to full-blown gun-grabbing.

Lastly, there’s socialism itself. We are a capitalist nation. That’s (probably) not going to change any time soon. What we need to worry about is the false notion that they can’t push for socialism without tearing down capitalism first. In an ideal world for socialists, they don’t need to tear down capitalism at all. In fact, they would want capitalism to fund the socialism they desire.

One can read Atlas Shrugged and see the systematic deconstruction of capitalism happening with the rise of socialism. It’s fiction. It’s also not entirely impossible to happen even in America. We’re a nation of plenty that is fueled by those who do not have plenty in their opinions. They aren’t comparing their situations to the billions in the world who are starving and/or who do not enjoy basic levels of freedom. They’re comparing themselves to the guy down the block with the Ferrari. Socialists can paint a picture of income equality that is appealing on the surface. They won’t tell the people that income equality means everyone will be equally poor. They’re selling it as pushing things slightly better for the average American by taking from the rich. If you don’t think that can be sold as appealing to people, you’re still stuck in the 80s when such notions were unthinkable.

The Democrats aren’t committing the political suicide many on the right believe they are with their push to the far left. They’ve tested their messages, polled the people, and have come to the conclusion that this is a winning play for them. We cannot assume that common sense and facts will be enough to stop them from succeeding. It’s imperative that we fight the good fight to keep the impossible from becoming our reality.

If you think it seems like there is a leftist protest happening every single day, you are only incorrect in that there are MANY leftist protests every single day in America. Whether it is antifa teaming up with Planned Parenthood to lobby for the “rights” of criminal foreign invaders, or a “die-in” to oppose the elimination of Obamacare’s death panels, or whatever, we are living in the age of eternal rioting protesting over anything and everything that is non-leftist, and also things that were supported by the left until someone on the right agreed with it. Protesters litter, block traffic, get violent, and destroy other people’s property, all in the effort to – well, your guess is as good as mine as to what they think they will accomplish with this nonsense, but the bottom line is that they are a bunch of gutless cowards and spoiled red diaper babies.

There is a site, called Resist and Protest, where you can find daily listings of leftist agitation plans. Here is a sampling of what is going on today and tomorrow:

In Minneapolis, Minnesota, it’s Russia! Russia! Russia! with a protest to demand an investigation of Republicans’ alleged buddying up with the Russians to derail Hillary’s coronation as queen in 2016, or something. Funny how all my life I used to hear lefties praise Russia while trashing the United States, and now Putin is the boogeyman and conservatives are soviets?

Elk River, Michigan: Honk if you’re horny! if you hate alternatives to Obamacare! Protesters will be at an overpass trying to get attention from people who are going on fishing trips, or something:

Bring flags. Bring signs. Bring enthusiasm!

Spread the word that fishing opener is a great time to reach thousands of Minnesotans as they head north. Encourage other groups to do this on pedestrian overpasses across the metro area and the state! Tell your local media that you’ll be there, and invite them!

I’m pretty sure those won’t be American flags, unless they intend to burn them.

More from Minnesota, this one in Saint Paul, a “unity march“, against divisiveness, where they claim to be for “ALL” people – unless of course those people are Christian, white non-commies, or in support of enforcement of existing laws. Here is a challenge for DaTechGuy readers, spot how many things are incorrect or insane about the messaging these activists are putting forth:

We have all raised awareness as individual groups, from each civil rights group, to community awareness issues. While each group has their success in what they have done, I would like to bring all groups together to stand in solidarity and raise awareness that we are united, as Trump likes to claim “Make America Great Again”. America IS Great when we are UNITED. While we unite our respective groups, we have not tried uniting our groups together and standing to raise awareness that we ALL matter. All groups, all ages, all genders, all races. The PEOPLE matter. As the motto of the United State goes “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”. Let us Unite, Stand, and Raise the Awareness that we are UNITED as the People of the State of Minnesota. We MATTER! We will March from the Capital to the Governors Mansion to raise this awareness and show the world we are going to be the first example of full unity.

Now that Obama is out of office, it is popular to be anti-war again. In Syracuse, New York, they are protesting today against funding for the Pentagon. Who needs national security when you have drum circles?

In Seattle, Washington, they are protesting today to demand that there be in increase in income taxes. Because everyone is going to have too much money what with the $15 minimum wage and all.

In Auburn, California, you can hear from young foreign invaders and make postcards to support non-enforcement of existing immigration laws. You are advised to bring a snack and non-alcoholic beverages.

Denton, Texas, is hosting a version of the “die-in” protest that actually might be a bit more interesting than the usual moaners laying about, because this one is a funeral procession with music, but they will still be laying around:

We would like to orchestrate a funeral procession and die-in at the square. We would like those that can play instruments to lead us. Sam Hobson, dressed as the Grim Reaper, will lead. Clay Thurmond is procuring a stretcher and a white body bag. He has a flag that we can drape over the body and then we can attach a toe tag to the toe. We who aren’t playing instruments or carrying coffins will carry cardboard tombstones with cause of death because of TrumpZombieCare. In fact, we could be zombies – that is open to discussion. After we march around the square, we will gather and “die” and lay there for at least 10 minutes. The goal is to make a dramatic statement about the current bill that the house passed and send a strong message to Burgess.

Tomorrow, May, 13, is no less #resist filled.

New York, New York: Protest against funding for the Dakota Pipeline, because “injustice”:

Divestment can put an end to the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) just as boycotts have effectively ended injustices, like South African apartheid, in the past. We CAN choose to bank ethically instead of with the big banks funding DAPL and other highly destructive projects.

Seattle and San Franciscio recently divested billions of dollars’ worth of transactions from DAPL-funding banks, and Mayor De Blasio recently came out in support of divesting NYC’s pensions from offending banks.

Let’s build momentum for city- and state-wide divestment by closing our own accounts on May 13th!

If you are in Pensacola, Florida, and someone is knocking on your door, they might just be there on behalf of the Democrats.

Near me, in Hyde Park, NY, they will be harassing State Senator Sue Serino, because they want abortions, which are readily available to whoever wants them.

Oh look, a protest in support of the biased left-wing anti-Trump fake news media in New York City!

In Washington, DC, outside of the White House, another “science” protest tomorrow. For the children.

In Omaha, Nebraska, you can go and get protest training.

Lynchburg, Virginia is hosting a “Non-Welcoming” for President Trump. Because raaaaacism.

Nasty Women want abortions in Salt Lake City, Utah. It’s a “pop up art show”.

Is anyone else experiencing protest fatigue? I predict the endless protests will succeed in making normal people treat these demonstrations the way people who live near airports treat plane noise: they will eventually be ignored to the point where they won’t even be noticed at all anymore.

Some kind of mask at the Chicago Moons the Trump Tower rally two months ago

By John Ruberry

On Saturday, three days before the deadline to file 2016 federal income tax returns, there were a couple of dozen rallies across the nation that called for President Donald J. Trump to release his returns to the public.

The republic somehow managed to survive nearly 200 years before Richard M. Nixon, under pressure by the way, became the first president to release his federal tax returns.

Yesterday I worked. I was building my income for next year’s tax deadline date, so I cannot pass on my eyewitness observations on any of yesterday’s anti-Trump rallies. But as with another tax-related anti-Trump gathering, one that I did see in person, Chicago Moons the Trump Tower, according to media reports, there were many colorful costumes, including masks, as well as meticulously designed signs. Leftist rallies are part protest and part Mardi Gras. For the progs these festivals are nothing more than a way to blow off steam, and a less expensive method than a session at a shrink’s office, unless, of course, you spent a lot of money on your Trump mask with devil horns, bright orange hair, and a Hitler mustache.

The mainstream media, that is the anti-Trump media, fawned over this springtime Festivus, unlike the dismissive tone they took with the 2010 Tax Day Tea Party rallies, which were arguably the halcyon moment of the Tea Party movement, that is, until Trump’s election last year.

Blogger running the Boston Marathon in 2004

“Someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. The election is over,” Trump tweeted this morning. And yes the election is indeed over. Despite last year’s haranguing by the Democrats and their media allies, Trump still won the presidency even though he didn’t make his returns public. That bus left the station. Very few Americans passionately care about Trump’s tax returns, unlike such concerns as keeping more of their income.

But there is an upside to Saturday’s frivolities. At least those leftists who designed those striking Trump masks already have their Halloween costume in hand. Make Halloween Great Again.

As I’m writing this, many millions of people around the world are watching the Academy Awards. I know I’m not alone in “boycotting” the Oscars, though calling it a boycott is silly. It’s simply a choice. To say it’s a boycott is to belittle the efforts made by those who actually oppose the actions of organizations in sustained and systematic fashions. Like many Americans, I’m just deciding to do something else with my time.

I’ve ranted in the past about avoiding Hollywood. I didn’t watch the Golden Globes and I’ve called for conservatives to find entertainment alternatives, but this is a little different. The Oscars are the big show. It’s the one that is viewed around the world more than any other entertainment awards event. This year, people in other countries will watch the awards and will be able to come to only one conclusion: America hates its President and is falling apart as a result.

They don’t know the situation. Because they’re not bombarded with American news the way we are, their limited exposure means they have to form their conclusions from an incomplete data set. Watching the Oscars, they won’t realize that a large portion of Americans support President Trump. They’ll watch Hollywood liberal after Hollywood liberal bash Trump. They won’t hear a single one say anything positive about the President and if by some miracle they do (I don’t think Clint Eastwood or James Woods are winning anything this year), they’d hear the crowd throw out loud boos. This is Hollywood honoring Hollywood and disgracing the nation that gave them their opportunities.

I mentioned that what many of us are doing during the Oscars should not be called a boycott. If the ratings of this Academy Awards are low (which I doubt), it won’t faze any of them. The only way that they can be made to care about the absurdity of their liberal message is for their actual dollars to drop. That means it’s up to conservatives to stop watching. Sounds hard. It will be. Heck, I’m a movie fan. I moved out to the LA area because I wanted to get into the movie business a decade ago. Things change and I’m glad I didn’t follow through with that particular goal, but one thing is now clear to me. I cannot allow my hard-earned dollars to be used to promote the leftist agenda that spews forth from the people that Hollywood supports.

That’s not to say I won’t see any movies at all. I’m just going to be very selective. I’m going to support the stories that have conservative leanings. I’ll support directors and actors, few as they may be, who are unabashedly conservative. I’ll read more books, watch less television, and spend my downtime educating myself on YouTube with conservative and/or Christian messages.

In other words, I’m done with liberal Hollywood.

Leftists in Tinseltown will continue to embarrass our nation until we let them know that enough is enough. That doesn’t mean a Tweet or a blog post. The only way they’ll listen is if we hit them in their paychecks. The only way we can hit them in their paychecks is to stop spending portions of our paychecks to support them.
