The final day of Fr. Stephen Imbarrato of Priests for Life’s visit to Boston sponsored by WQPH and Prayers for life was the biggest.

He spent the morning with the little sisters of the poor before heading over to the Our Lady Queen of the Universe Shrine in Boston run by the sons of Divine Providence across from the Don Orione House.

It is an impressive shrine that both overlooks Boston and air airport from the top of the hill which is marked by a huge statue of our lady and a high tower overlooking the city

Before Father arrived to celebrate the 4:30 the assembled pilgrims took confession for Divine Mercy Sunday. After mass they assembled downstairs for Dinner where Fr. gave the blessing

Was introduced

and gave his final speech of the trip

I recorded it in two parts

I also managed to get a 2nd interview with Fr Emanuel whose 1st interview was cut off

and here are some assorted clips from the day

After dinner and the speech the party processed to the ground where there was a procession with the Pro-Life image of divine mercy (the wind did not play ball as it kept the candles unlit).

After the Rosary was complete a most unexpected twist took place.

The tower has been closed to the public for a full decade due to the need for repairs but we were informed that Fr. and the image of Divine mercy would be allowed to go to the top to bless and consecrate the city. We where however unable to enter through the front door as none of the keys were working.

So we made our way to an elevator that reached the tower that was normally locked out.

It was a tight fit with the image and the photographers and Fr Imbarrato

but we eventually made it to the top of the tower overlooking the city and Fr. prayed the consecration.

This brought an official end to the visit and Fr. Imbarrato sat for a final interview when it was all done.

There is one interesting footnote, both Mary Ann Harold and Fr. Imbarrato got a sense during the prayers that it was the desire of Our Lord and Lady to restore the Shrine. At the time it was built Boston was a faithful Catholic City and Massachusetts was a State known for it’s faith, as the Shrine has fallen into disrepair so has the faith of the city and the abominations that have come out of the state to affect the entire country and the world are too numerous to mention here.

So while I as always hope you might kick in a few buck to DaTipJar to make up for the cost of days of work missed and my time perhaps it might be a better use of your funds to raise the funds necessary to make this shrine what it once was, and perhaps help make Boston the city of faith it once was too.

During the 2nd day of Fr Stephen Imbarrato’s visit to Massachusetts after celebrating a mass and attending a breakfast in Medford he traveled to Fitchburg. We covered his Eucharistic Procession here but there were several other items of interest both before and after that event.

He said Saturday morning mass at St Camillus church at St. Bernard’s Parish in Fitchburg and sat for an interview after mass on the events.

Linda Santo who spoke the previous night in Medford attended this mass and also consented to an interview.

From there we went to Slattery’s in Fitchburg (home of that most perfect of deserts Kentucky Derby Pie) for a luncheon to a packed house, Fr briefly spoke there as well.

Next there came the procession viewed now online by over 200K people (for context the population of Fitchburg is 40k) after the procession we traveled to the former Madonna of the Holy Rosary parish where Fr. heard confessions, celebrated the divine mercy vigil mass followed by a dinner served by the Knights of Columbus of the St. Anthony of Padua counsel and a talk.

But the there was a pleasant surprise at both this dinner and the previous one. There was a band playing at both this event and the previous one in Medford. It turns out they were a group called Musicians for life and they not only performed old guitar staples of the faith like Mighty to Save during dinner

but after an introduction by Fr. Imbarrato also performed six original songs explicit pro-life songs written specifically for these event such as Let em Live: (which was streamed life to his facebook page)

Where have all the Children Gone

I’m Here with Jesus

Listen to my Heart Beating

It’s a life (which I think is a really catchy tune)

and the Choice is Yours

At the end of the night they sat for an interview

It would be their final performance during Fr. Imbarrato’s trip as they had a commitment the next day but if I may be so bold and suggest that they and their music would be a welcome addition to any Catholic or pro-life event.

The Protest Priest Fr. Stephen Imbarrato of Priest’s for life’s visit to Massachusetts sponsored by Prayers for Life and WQPH was not all protests and processions at planned parenthood in Boston and Fitchburg, there were other events such as a Pro-life Dinner at Anthony’s in Medford where many pro-life folks spoke.

There was the pro-life legal defense fund that does yeoman work in court

There was Linda Santo mother of Audrey Santo whose cause for sainthood is now in motion

It was a tad complicated filming Linda as she like Ted Cruz doesn’t stay in one place while she talks.

There were also individuals such as Francis

and Paul

and priests such as Fr Emmanuel from Nigeria who is studying in Boston (my camera died during the interview but we’d get a chance to talk again two days later in Boston)

There was music from Musicians for life, they would join us in Fitchburg and deserve their own post which will come next

and of course Fr. Imbarrato who spoke at length

Part 2

Part 3

Many pro-life groups throughout New England were represented and tirelessly keep up the fight in this bluest of blue areas, because in the end, life is worth it.

If you are not in the position to kick in your funds we’ll always accept your prayers.

I was at the Benedictine Abby in Harvard (Still River) Ma yesterday covering the Prayers for life event.

This event was the first day of three consisting of a series of talks and prayers for life and for our country.

The main event is Father Peter West who I first met while at CPAC. He talked about this event and Mary Ann Harold of WQPH Fitchburg Catholic Radio gave us a rundown of the events:

Before this interview I attended his speech.

He talked about the events of today as a spiritual battle and the historical significance of Prayer in major events.

“WE are in need of serious prayer with the same furor as the polish people prayed at our lady of Częstochowa.

He stated many don’t understand the full gravity of the current situation and the fate of our country will be hanging on events that will happen very soon.

He cited the following
• 40 yrs of abortion on demand
• Threat to constitutional liberties
• The threat to Marriage
• Catholic institutions forced out of the adoption business
• God pushed out of schools & the public square
• Christians persecuted worldwide while Militant Islam rises

“There is no problem no matter how difficult it is that can’t be resolved by praying the rosary”

When finished he took Questions:

On Civil Disobedience:

And direct vs indirect aid to evil

I actually was not aware of Our Mother of Kibeho

These apparitions in Rwanda from the eighties calling for prayer & fasting in anticipation of the War & Slaughter that would come to that land.

He took questions on the:Media Blackout

And the importance of Fasting along with Prayer:

I recorded the Rosary decade by decade. It is on Youtube now, and will be on the blog this Sunday.

Update: That should of course have said, “Prayers for life” The flyer is here
