Yesterday I talked about how Hillary Clinton and Democrats were caught flat footed by the FBI re-opening their email investigation. but what’s been really interesting is how the line of James Comey have changed with the same GOP member praising this decision who called him corrupt a few weeks ago and Democrats who praised his integrity a few weeks ago crying “foul!

In the last 36 hours FBI Director James Comey has been slammed by the full force of the progressive left media. I noted yesterday that, within hours of the letter being released, NY Times columnist Paul Krugman was accusing Comey of trying to swing the election for Republicans or, at a minimum, of trying to preserve their control of congress. A Democratic PAC filed a complaint with the DOJ that Comey had violated the Hatch Act by publishing the letter. A CNN legal analyst wrote today that it was time for Comey to resign…

…With all the accusations flying, I thought it was a good moment to recall a Washington Post editorial from back in July. That was when Comey announced he would not bring charges against Clinton. In an editorial titled “Republicans attack Mr. Comey for doing his job” the Post rebuked the right for for questioning Comey’s decision making:…

…A few months ago, criticizing Comey was risking damage to the rule of law. Now that it might be Hillary’s ox getting gored, bashing Comey is just fair game.

It brings to mind the Climatic Scene from Shakespeare’s the Merchant of Venice where you have Shylock saying lines such as: A Daniel come to judgment, yea, a Daniel!—O wise young judge, how I do honor thee!, O noble judge! O excellent young man! Oh wise upright judge, when granted the pound of flesh from his bond, and then, when the same judge said that you aren’t allowed any blood and if you shed any you lose your goods suddenly it was Gratiano saying: O learnèd judge!—Mark, Jew, a learnèd judge! An upright judge, a learnèd judge! A second Daniel!

So what is actually going on here? Is Comey a Clinton dupe or not? Here is what I think

I still think James Comey was as a Clinton dupe, didn’t mind playing the game and seemingly didn’t care about the blowback as long as it was about him. I think because of this when the compromised Loretta Lynch advised him against the release of this letter to congress:

Attorney General Loretta Lynch advised FBI Director James Comey against sending a letter to Congress to inform them about the reopening of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

She and team Clinton had every expectation that her advice would be followed. That’s why Clinton allies were blindsided and reacted thus:

“I’m livid, actually,” one Clinton surrogate told The Hill. “This has turned into malpractice. It’s an unforced error at this point. I have no idea what Comey is up to but the idea this email issue is popping back up again is outrageous. It never should have occurred in the first place. Someone somewhere should have told her no. And they didn’t and now we’re all paying the price.”

So why the change of heart, well the clue is here:

In an internal memo obtained by Fox News, the beleaguered director noted that the FBI typically would not communicate with the public when reopening a case, according to a Department of Justice source. But Comey said he had to in this case because Clinton is seeking the White House in an election on Nov. 8.

“Of course we don’t ordinarily tell Congress about ongoing investigations, but here I feel an obligation to do so given that I testified repeatedly in recent months that our investigation was completed,” Comey wrote. “I also think it would be misleading to the American people were we not to supplement the record.

You see, when he thought the storm would only affect him and his reputation that didn’t matter, but then it produced stories like this:

ANALYSIS: TRUE. Richard Nixon could only wish he got Hillary’s FBI treatment.

and this

NOTHING TO SEE HERE, IT’S OLD NEWS, TIME TO MOVE ON: Clinton Ally Aided Campaign of FBI Official’s Wife.

and this

JAMES COMEY COULD NOT BE REACHED TO IGNORE THIS ACCUSATION. Newt Gingrich on Veritas Videos: ‘Where’s the FBI?’

and this

CULTURE OF CORRUPTION: New FBI files contain allegations of ‘quid pro quo’ in Clinton’s emails.

and this

THE FBI REVOLT BEGINS: A retired FBI agent says “The FBI has politicized itself, and its reputation will suffer for a long time. I hold Director Comey responsible.”

and a hundred more like it, that’s when he realized that not only was the reputation of the entire FBI compromised ,but story after story of the rank and file of the FBI bitterly resenting the tarnishing of the entire agency image over his attempt to cover for Hillary Clinton meant trouble in the ranks.

I suspect Comey didn’t anticipate this, but now he’s discovered that the FBI is not the MSM.

The ability of the chief national law enforcement arm to protect the country from things like Islamic Terror, properly enforce the laws, or even hunt fugitives is difficult if not impossible without the cooperation of law-abiding citizens.  I suspect James Comey didn’t anticipate his acts would convince a good chunk of the country that the FBI was no longer a law enforcement agency but just another arm of the Democrat party and would enforce the law accordingly.

The MSM can successfully function even if half the citizenry dismiss them as corrupt tools of one political party and treat them as such. The FBI can not.

I think Comey decided that it’s one thing to cover for the Clintons it’s another when running that interference takes down your entire agency.

Update:  Fixed poor sentence structure in a paragraph.

Given all the Donald Trump news and the ratings that he brings to news networks who are used to drawing only niche audiences actually interested in how the country is governed on a daily basis. one might forgive the various networks for giving this story short shift:

Democratic National Committee vice chair and Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is stepping down from her post at the DNC and throwing her weight behind Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign.

“First of all, I am resigning from the DNC so I can support Bernie Sanders for president,” Gabbard said early Sunday during NBC’s “Meet the Press” panel.

But while Ms. Gabbard’s resignation and endorsement of Bernie Sanders is unlikely to bring the eyeballs that the latest chapter in the GOP soap opera , in reality this is a story much more newsworthy than any of the odd hoops that the Grand Old Party is jumping through to De-Trump itself.

As I mentioned Monday the GOP’s move on Trump is less about stopping Trump than it is preserving the power of patronage for the club:

What happens if those positions go not to a party man, but to a Trump man? What happens when the head of an agency like the GSA doesn’t owe his position to a party or to a donor but owes it to the Donald™ and it time to make a ruling that affects the party or could affect a chance in a big donor’s fortunes?

Those party positions are highly sought after because they lead to power, influence and the GOP insiders want those positions for themselves.

Furthermore it’s also why you can have a man like Gov LePage of Maine can go from this:

At a meeting of Republican governors the next morning, [Governor X] called for action. Seated at a long boardroom table at the Willard Hotel, he erupted in frustration over the state of the 2016 race, saying Mr. Trump’s nomination would deeply wound the Republican Party. [Governor X] urged the governors to draft an open letter “to the people,” disavowing Mr. Trump and his divisive brand of politics.

To publicly endorsing Trump within a week.

“I was Donald Trump before Donald Trump became popular. So I think I should support him because we’re one of the same cloth,” the governor said on the “Howie Carr Show.”

Logically LePage sees the writing on the wall wants to get on the train while he might still be rewarded for doing so. He’s trying to get the biggest possible bang for his endorsement.

Tulsi Gabbard is doing exactly the opposite.

Consider Hillary Clinton won Nevada a race that there was some danger of her losing and followed up with a win in South Carolina fueled by the Black Vote more lopsided than Bernie’s win in NH. If there was ever a time for someone who was on the fence or had held back an endorsement to see which way the wind was blowing and get on the Hillary Clinton train while there was still a chance to perhaps be rewarded for it, it’s NOW.

So what does Tulsi Gabbard do, not only does she endorse Bernie Sanders but she quits a high profile position in the party to do so, a position that would normally be used as a stepping stone to get more power, more influence, more patronage.

And she does so at a time and in a way that practically invites retribution from the Clinton campaign once the nomination is in hand.

That is exactly the opposite of how a politician is supposed to act and if a pol giving up power and position in the face of almost certain retaliation to support what appears to be a quixotic candidate.

That is a huge incredibly newsworthy story or at least it would be if the MSM didn’t want to suppress the narrative it suggests

Closing thought I think Bernie Sanders would be a disaster as president and I think a guy who would honeymoon in the USSR during the cold war is almost as bad as a woman who would leave Americans to die but even so this tells me that Tulsi Gabbard is a person who high principles who is unwilling to sell them for political gain.

You’ve got to love a pol like that.

One should either write ruthlessly what one believes to be the truth, or else shut up.

Arthur Koestler (from the masthead of Stacy McCain’s blog)

I already linked to the Debra Saunders piece earlier as part of a post on the MSM discovering the Twitter Safety gulag, but there is something in her particular piece which really highlights the difference between Stacy McCain and his foes that deserves extra attention.

I reached out to Sarkeesian: no response. I reached out to a woman who tweeted that McCain harassed her friend: no reply. McCain would talk. He noted that of the 40 organizations on the Twitter Council, many are left-leaning and none is conservative or libertarian. The Twitter Council is an echo chamber. “There are some people who just can’t stand the idea that someone could have access to Twitter or anything, or a platform to be able to criticize them,” McCain told me. They don’t believe in freedom of expression for others. Free speech is not safe. And Jack Dorsey has made them Twitter’s bouncers.

That’s the difference.  the people at the Twitter Gulag are silent because to defend their action against Stacy McCain is to expose themselves for what they are.

Meanwhile Stacy McCain has talked to me, talked to Buzzfeed, talked to Debra Saunders and of course at his own blog he continues to fight

The proximate cause of the current problem at Twitter is Anita Sarkeesian (@FemFreq), so if you’re on Twitter, make sure Ms. Sarkeesian knows you hold her accountable for the implementation of these totalitarian policies. Some people are deleting their accounts, but my guess is that if you tell Ms. Sarkeesian what you think of her — and don’t forget to include the #FreeStacy hashtag — Twitter will be happy to ban you, too.

and fight

It is not my job to say which issue is more relevant to you, the reader, but when the Democrat-Media Complex takes sides in a public controversy, my hunch is they are on the wrong side. Liberals are deeply prejudiced and, to anyone who has studied their belief system, the things that liberals hate — capitalism, Christianity, the U.S. military, etc. — are as obvious as the things they love, e.g., sodomy, treason and socialism. Exactly how these liberal prejudices relate to #GamerGate, I’ll leave for the reader’s judgment. For now, the more relevant question is whether these biases of liberalism explain why my Twitter account was suspended last week. Did my prior encounter with Nicholas Edwin “Sarah” Nyberg (a/k/a “Sarah Butts”) in some way influence this otherwise unexplained action?

and fight:

What Ms. Sarkeesian failed to do, of course, was to explain why she is so hated in particular (Answer: Because she lies) or whether the suspension of my account was prompted by a complaint from her or one of her allies.

You see that feminism’s hegemonic cultural authority is the real “status quo” in 2016, and what better “warning” — “designed to foster fear” — than to silence the social-media voices of those who “challenge” the lies told by Anita Sarkeesian. She has never dared to debate any of her critics, and why? Because liars are always cowards, and feminism is always a lecture, never a debate.

and fight

WHAT? The “rhetoric” of two British homosexuals “is incredibly harmful” to the LGBTQ “community” in Ann Arbor? HOW? Students “felt threatened by the debate”? WHY? Are these students incapable of distinguishing between words and actions? Ideas and emotions? Fantasy and reality? My little grandson got a bit frightened during Mighty Joe Young, but he didn’t need a “safe space.” Have college students today never been told to grow up and stop being scaredy-cats?

One more thing I left a message on Stacy’s answering machine asking about how this has affected his traffic here is what he replied:

The past four days have been phenomenal in terms of traffic to the blog. Saturday, my page-views were more than four times the previous Saturday’s, and triple my daily average. The boost to traffic made last week the best week I’ve had in six months. With five days left in the month, February traffic is already greater than the 31-day month of January.

And of course in addition to supporting Stacy McCain by buying his book, visiting his web site, when it’s not under DOS attacks and promoting his posts on twitter  (which will REALLY upset the Twitter Safety crowd) and retweeting the #freestacy hashtag.

And may I be so bold as to when supporting Robert Stacy McCain recommend the five most important words in the English Language

Either way thanks for reading and don’t be shy about letting us know what you think. One can’t improve without critique.

Jesus Christ: Again you have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all; 23 not by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is his footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black. Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ Anything more is from the evil one.

Q: What does this Ted Cruz senate floor speech and the two planned parenthood videos have in common?

Sit down and listen to this Senate Floor Speech. If you have to put it on while you do other things but make sure you hear it because it’s something that every single conservative needs to hear.

Let that sink and if you want the chaser listen to this segment on the Rush Limbaugh show where Rush made a rare exception and interviewed Cruz over this speech

Normally it’s considered a gaffe when a pol tells the truth, not when Senator Cruz does.

Senator Cruz is making it VERY hard to keep the promise I made to myself not to endorse a candidate until after the first debate.

Late Yesterday the news came that the in the attack in the Boston area on police, the primary target was not the police:

Usaamah Rahim, who was fatally shot after waving a military knife at law enforcement officers in Boston, was originally plotting to behead Pamela Geller, an activist and conservative blogger, law enforcement sources told CNN on Wednesday.

Watch the interview

and be either amazed at the cluelessness of Burnett or be shocked at her suggestion that an ad explicitly opposing Jihad is ground for attempted murder.  It’s as if the MSM were doing their best Dalek Impersonation:

As Pam herself puts it:

Erin Burnett just doesn’t get it.

They targeted me for violating sharia blasphemy laws. They mean to kill everyone who doesn’t do their bidding and abide by them voluntarily. This is a showdown for American freedom. Will we stand against this savagery, or bow down to them and silence ourselves?

If there is one thing that actually surprises me are all these “informed” people seem either shocked that Pam is a target or act as if this is only a recent thing.  For almost the entire time I’ve known her Pam has been a target traveling with bodyguards.

Perhaps Erin and the crew at CNN might be a tad better informed if they had read this interview with her I did in Aug of 2013

4. You seem to shrug off death threats the way people comb hair out of their eyes, where does this strength come from?

I am fighting for freedom. Life is not worth living without freedom. If we don’t fight now, when? When the death threat becomes …… law?

5. A rather somber question, if tomorrow your foes managed to silence you, other than the obvious answer (Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch) where would recommend your readers go to stay informed about Radical Islam.

The Religion of Peace.com

I think that what really upsets people is Pam’s courage is a constant reminder of a lot of other people’s cowardice.  Every day she stands up like a lion she reminds everyone else that they are mice.  That’s why in my opinion if the Islamists manage to murder her may so called supporters of free speech will publicly deplore it and privately celebrate.

It’s a national disgrace.

Two thoughts in closing:

If Radical Islam ever conquers the few people who resist in secret will have pictures of Pam on their wall & copies of her writing hidden on flash drives to inspire them to fight on.

But when Radical Islam falls, and it eventually will, there will be a lot of people who collaborated with it who, with the threat of the blade gone, will suddenly go from sounding like mice to sounding like lions.

They had better hope that day comes after Pam is gone because if she is still alive she’ll not let them get away with it.

Update:  Via Zilla Pam is interviewed by Fox they do it right as did Jake Tapper who has been an example of real journalism for a while & is getting hit for it.

Dave Weigel’s beat is covering conservatives. You will see him regularly at CPAC and on the campaign trail with GOP hopefuls.

So it is no surprise that Ted Cruz’s appearance before the national firefighters union was on his radar.

Cruz entered the less friendly climate of the International Association of Firefighters, for its bipartisan presidential summit. Firefighters’ unions are not as solidly Democratic as most labor unions.

Given that unions slavishly follow the Democrat line that’s not a high standard to reach but more interesting was his reaction to a video put together by MSNBC noting the reaction, or lack thereof of the Union crowd to things that were applause lines at CPAC

No one had anything good to say about Cruz. “I had to take a shower after listening to that,” said Washington state IAFF leader Ricky Walsh.

You can likely count on one hand the number of State Union leaders who are conservatives and in liberal Washington you can probably count them on one finger so the above reaction is frankly not much of a story.

What IS a story is this: Ted Cruz didn’t give a “feel good” speech about his family history (like Marco Rubio) or steering away from domestic issues (like Lindsey Graham).

Nope Ted Cruz, rather than tailoring his speech or spinning his audience, went before a hostile crowd and did what he always does made his case for the things he believes. He told the truth.

MSNBC not withstanding this is what we used to called “Character” and I’m old enough to remember when we the media used to celebrate this kind of character in candidates.

I’ve been pretty hard on both Radical Islam and those who in the Islamic Community that have given only lip service to “Peaceful Islam”.

So I”m always delighted when I see stories like this

In the wake of a deadly shooting attack at a synagogue in Denmark las week, a group of Norwegian Muslims intends to hold an anti-violence demonstration at an Oslo synagogue this coming weekend by forming a “peace ring” around the building

I’m even more encouraged when I see who is organizing this:

One of the event organizers, 17-year-old Hajrad Arshad, explained that the intention was to make a clear statement that Muslims don’t support anti-Semitism.

“We think that after the terrorist attacks in Copenhagen, it is the perfect time for us Muslims to distance ourselves from the harassment of Jews that is happening,” Arshad told the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK in an interview cited by The Local News website on Tuesday.

She noted that the group aimed to “extinguish the prejudices people have against Jews and against Muslims.”

This isn’t without risk, there will be some radicals who will not approve of this.  This young woman deserves our praise, our encouragement, …..and our protection.

There are so many depressing stories to write about today I scarce know where to begin.

#1 The first Post american President continues his Post American program.

Obama had traded away concessions for “symbolic gestures,” and that Obama was “the worst negotiator that we’ve had as president…maybe in the modern history of the country.”

I really missing having a president who is on our side.

#2. Trauma at Harvard:

But while emotional pageantry in lieu of a logical contention may yield spectacular results in the political realm, it remains insufficient in the eyes of those trained to argue the law. At least, that is the impression one gets from reading the reactions to this sloppy effort by a third year Harvard Law School student and an editor on the Harvard Law Review who recently argued in favor of delaying exams because of his perceived and vicarious emotional trauma.

“Our request for exam extensions is not being made from a position of weakness, but rather from one of strength and critical awareness,” wrote William Desmond in The National Law Journal.

You know there was a Day that Harvard produced the type of men so strong that even having their ship cut in two under them in the dark of night didn’t paralyze them into inaction.

#3 Mass Murder in Pakistan

The Pakistani branch of the Taliban has attempted to justify its attack on a school on Tuesday in the city of Peshawar that left 132 children and nine staff members dead, calling it revenge for the army’s offensive against the group. The attack has been condemned by world leaders, including the government of Iran as well as by the Afghan branch of the Taliban.

Yes these are the terrorists this president is negotiating with.

#4 Cowardice in Hollywood:

The top five theater circuits in North America have decided not to play Sony’s The Interview.

Regal Entertainment, AMC Entertainment, Cinemark, Carmike Cinemas and Cineplex Entertainment have all decided against showing the film.

“Due to the wavering support of the film The Interview by Sony Pictures, as well as the ambiguous nature of any real or perceived security threats, Regal Entertainment Group has decided to delay the opening of the film in our theatres,” Regal said in a statement to THR Wednesday.

Oh for the days of when men like Leslie Howard defined the Nazis

#5 and finally courage in Iraq at a terrible cost both depressing and inspiring:

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria militants rounded up the four under 15-children and asked them if they would followMohammed and live or chose any other religion and live. The courageous died hard Christians replied the militants saying, “No, we love Yesua (the Iraqi name for Jesus), we have always loved Yesua, we have always followed Yesua, Yesua has always been with us.”

According to the report by Orthodox Christian Network, the four boys were beheaded by the militants after refusing to accept Islam as their religion.

I would suggest that a cause for canonization begin at once.

As everyone knows I think highly of both Pam Geller & Robert Spencer and have been uncompromising in both my defense of them and in the importance of paying attention to their warning.  Pretending that Radical Islam is not a danger is not only a lie, but it’s dangerous

That being said when we get good news out of Islam it’s important to acknowledge it

From the Muslim Times:

Muslim physician learns from Holocaust patients

In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Dr. Khalid Minhas, director of public affairs for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, based at the Bait ul Naseer Mosque in Hallandale, was invited on April 23 to address members of Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor in Lantana on his feelings about the Holocaust, and what he’d learned from treating his Jewish survivor patients.

“[The] Holocaust [was] a grave crime against humanity. I wanted to share my sympathies with Jewish people that, as a Muslim, I condemn this horrible atrocity that led to the killing of innocent people,” Dr. Minhas said, explaining why he wanted to address the Jewish congregation.

The Physician noted treating survivors made a huge difference:

“When my patients shared their stories with me, it put a human face to the tragedy. It allowed me a glimpse into their innermost feelings and let me grasp the tragedy on a personal level.”

Given the reaction to the Palestinian trip to Auschwitz

The Al-Quds University professor who led the first group of Palestinian students to visit Auschwitz has been expelled from the university’s workers union – even though he was never a member to begin with.

Professor Mohammed Dajani said he would take legal action against the union, accusing its leaders of “incitement” against him.

The latest assault on Dajani’s reputation occurred just three days after Palestinian President Mohammad Abbas described the Holocaust as “the most heinous crime to have occurred against humanity in the modern era.”

the Doctor’s very public statements are very welcome and should be commended.

Meanwhile there is ever more encouraging news out of Saudi Arabia:

Blurring the line between reality and fiction, a former member of a terrorist group has made a movie slamming those in the Kingdom who recruit young Saudis to fight abroad.

The fictional account of a Saudi deceived by one of these men to fight in Syria has lit up the Internet, and resulted in Abdulrahman Ayel, the filmmaker, getting death threats.

The 15-minute film tells the shocking story of a terrorist organization whose pursuit of twisted ideological goals results in nothing but brutality, misery and heartbreak.

Again any time you have an anti-jihad message going  out from Muslims particularly in the Middle East that’s not only a good thing but more effective than anything we do here in the long run.

A Muslim acknowledging the Holocaust and/or speaking out publicly against Jihaid is worth 100 people like me doing the same.

a Hat tip for Iman Bashier Mehmud on both stories, but a bigger tip of the Fedora to both of the men involved in these stories.

For a full month of all of what we provide ,we ask a fixed amount $1465, It is May 7th and we can make that goal is just two readers kick in $25 each day.

Help fund conservative speech, hit DaTipJar below.

Naturally once our monthly goal is made these solicitations will disappear till the next month but once we get 61 more subscribers  at $20 a month the goal will be covered for a full year and this pitch will disappear until 2015.

Consider the lineup you get for this price, in addition to my own work seven days a week you get John Ruberry (Marathon Pundit) and Pat Austin (And so it goes in Shreveport)  on Sunday  Linda Szugyi (No one of any import) on Monday  Tim Imholt on Tuesday,  AP Dillon (Lady Liberty1885) Thursdays, Pastor George Kelly Fridays,   Steve Eggleston on Saturdays with  Baldilocks (Tue & Sat)  and   Fausta  (Wed & Fri) of (Fausta Blog) twice a week.

If that’s not worth $20 a month I’d like to know what is?

I did get to Buchenwald the next day and I stared. I stared in embarrassed silence, thinking about the doubts I’d had in college and even more recently…I’d like to have taken Professor Boulding by the hand and shown him around Buchenwald. I was angry that I’d been fooled. For the first time, I knew for certain that any peace is not better than any war.

Andy Rooney, My War 2002

There are certain things that just stick in your head, one of the things that stick into mine was one Andy Rooney 60 minutes commentary on the Death Camps.

I remember how he talked about seeing the camp himself, and how serious he was when he said: “yes it happened, I saw it”.

I couldn’t find the video online but I couldn’t help think of it when I saw this story

The Rialto school district planned to revise an eighth-grade assignment that raised red flags by asking students to consider arguments about whether the Holocaust — the systematic killing by the Nazis of some 6 million Jews and millions of others — was not an “actual event” but instead a “propaganda tool that was used for political and monetary gain.”

While Camp of the Saints notes an interesting twist and Ed Driscol at Instapundit notes Ike’s attempts to make them undeniable it is a lesson that no amount of fact will cause people to wish to deny or minimize a reality unfavorable to their cause from doing so.

And that brings me to Pam Geller, Robert Spencer and Boko Haram.

Pam & Robert have been sounding the call on Radical Islam for a long time   Part of those warning has been about Boko Harem in fact if you do a search for Boko Harem on Geller’s site

geller1

But even Pam’s figures that beat all the major news organizations pale next to the 12,000 plus results at Jihad Watch:boko jihad

For their efforts Pam & Robert are attacked as Islamophobes particularly by the Counsel on American Islamic Relations if you search their site there is no shortage of attacks on Pam or Robert as “islamophobes” who should be shunned.

If you are searching for info on Boko Haram the choices at CAIR are a tad more limited:

boko cair

Yup one result.

Perhaps if the “moderate” muslims of CAIR been speaking out about Boko Haram and not trying to silence those who did try to warn the world about them, more than a hundred young girls might not be waiting to be sold into slavery today.

Andy Rooney had Ike and the whole US army to back up his testimony concerning Nazi atrocities that are still denied in parts of the Middle East.  Pam & Robert fight a much lonelier battle trying to shine a light on that which many wish hidden.  They are perhaps less like Andy Rooney than like those who were sounding warning about the Nazi’s during the 30’s and were ignored or questioned until the day the US Army drove into the camps.

And years from now,  likely long after they are dead and gone, young children will walk through a museum and see the story of  how a soft spoken author from New England and an outspoken woman from New York tried to sound the warning about dangers like Boko Haram against incredible odds.

Whether or not it will be a story of success or yet another tale of the world not acting until millions have paid the price, remains to be seen.

May we make the right decision.
