Wretchard goes long on the unmasking of the two Hollywoods:

In the unending exposes of financial, moral and sexual turpitude we are witnessing a similar humiliation of a ruling elite. The critical role played by prestige in upholding the current status quo was no less important for the Western elite than it was for the old District Commissioners. Not so very long ago the elites were accepted as woke, part of the mission civilisatrice; better educated, better looking, better dressed, destined to greater things, the smartest people in the room.  They could pronounce on matters of morality, politics and even the climate.  What a shock it was to find through the Internet and social media it was all a sham; and these gods of Washington and Hollywood and the media were deeply flawed and despicable people.

Given the lack of quality control and penchant for recruiting rather than expelling the scandalous it’s amazing in retrospect the prestige lasted so long.  All the same, now their fallibility has been exposed under the spotlight of technological innovation, the spell is broken.  The elites may still rule but the sullen masses no longer flock to their door as they did of old.  Perhaps the single most destabilizing political development since the WW2 has been the destruction of ruling class prestige by the Internet.

I’ve read that, before World War II, those of the entertainment class were regarded as little better than pimps and prostitutes. Perhaps that has never actually changed; they simply have been giving the public a massive, long-running stage performance – where the stage is our perception of them. And now the show’s over.

But what about those other actors? The ones we are forced to pay?

In case you haven’t paid attention to the news today, Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) has been exposed – if you’ll pardon

Conyers’ come-hither look

the expression – as a serial sexual harasser. Meh. His creepiness has always been as plain as the leer on his face, at least to me. But he has paid at least one victim off with tax money. He is far from the only one. Very far.

Congress makes its own rules about the handling of sexual complaints against members and staff, passing laws exempting it from practices that apply to other employers. (…)

Congressional employees have received small settlements, compared with the amounts some public figures pay out. Between 1997 and 2014, the U.S. Treasury has paid $15.2 million in 235 awards and settlements for Capitol Hill workplace violations, according to the congressional Office of Compliance. The statistics do not break down the exact nature of the violations.

15 million dollars of tax money over two decades. And they hid it by disguising it as employee bonuses. But the victims will receive the money only if they keep their mouths shut. What I want to know is who the other congressional harassers  are.

You might have noticed that I haven’t commented on the Roy Moore situation at all. Why not? Because I don’t live in Alabama and there’s too much he-said/they-said, too much fishy evidence, and far, far too much Gloria Allred. If the accusations are true, Moore can’t be prosecuted because of the statute of limitations. Therefore, one way or the other, if the voters want him as their US Senator, it’s their business.

I really don’t care about the legal sex lives of Pretty Hollywood or Ugly Hollywood, as long as I don’t have to give them my money to clean up their messes. And at least with Pretty Hollywood – and with the National Felon League – I can’t be extorted by them for hush-money.

Therefore, Ugly Hollywood is far uglier and far more dangerous than the Pretty one.

As one of my friends pointed out, the Founding Fathers would be OPSEC OPSEC OPSEC by now.

David Lee Alcon, via Albuquerque jounral

I’ve stated on this site that if Roy Moore was still a Democrat that the Harvey Weinstein / Bill Clinton media/left take on this story would be very different.

Now we have proof.

Meet David Alcon one of a large group of democrats running for an open seat in the New Mexico 1st district that hasn’t gone for the GOP since the last decade.

A Milan-based political consultant with a familiar last name has joined the race to succeed Republican Steve Pearce in Congress.
David Lee Alcon, son of state Rep. Eliseo Lee Alcon, D-Milan, is now among six Democrats seeking the nomination in the 2nd Congressional District, which covers the southern half of New Mexico.

“I think we need a liberal in Congress,” David Alcon said in an interview Tuesday. “I think I’m it.”

His big issue seems to be drawing a major sports team into the state:

New Mexico’s amazing weather, expansive landscape and enthusiastic residents make for an ideal location for an exciting and innovative development-one stadium in the heart of the Southwest that will be home to not only a NFL expansion team, but ALSO a MLS team.
Economic Possibilities

New Mexico deserves a major-league sports presence. By developing a partnership between the National Football League and Major League Soccer, the state-of-the-art stadium will see nearly year-round action, and the state and communities surrounding it will reap the economic benefits and enjoy some thrilling sports.
Jobs in Central New Mexico

A project of this magnitude provides a consistent pool of excellent jobs for New Mexicans. Jobs in construction, development, stadium operation, computer systems are just a few of the fields to benefit from NFL/MLS expansion teams.

Now one can debate if Mr. Alcon’s position on this is a good one or not (I think public money to draw sports teams hurt tax payers) but I think there is no debate that on the issue of stalking women Mr. Alcon’s position leaves much to be desired:

David Alcon, the 39-year-old announced candidate for the Southern New Mexico congressional seat, has been arrested on suspicion of stalking a Santa Fe woman.

Alcon, a Democrat whose address is in Milan, was picked up by Albuquerque police on Friday and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center, jail records show.

A Santa Fe judge signed a warrant for Alcon’s arrest nearly two weeks ago, after a Santa Fe woman told police she was at a Halloween party when Alcon sent her a number of threatening text messages. A criminal complaint filed by Santa Fe police said Alcon’s texts told the woman he was watching her, wanted to have children with her, and contained a picture of his genitals.

According to the complaint, the woman stated “multiple times in the text messages that she did not want anything to do with Alcon, and she repeatedly told him to leave her alone.”

Well, that’s really something, a Democrat consultant, the son of a Democrat State Rep and a Candidate for an open seat in congress arrested for stalking a woman? Given the Roy Moore feeding frenzy I imagine this would be front page news. On Morning Joe they would be denouncing Alcon. On CNN Jake Tapper would be talking about this on his panel. Martha Raddatz would be questioning Democrats about having such a person in their field, Twitter would be aflame with people denouncing him and of course Gloria Aldred would be rushing the victim to New York to hold a press conference with evidence of these actions.

Or as the Daily Caller reports perhaps not:

The story has been met with silence from a number of media outlets despite their breathless coverage of the sexual assault scandal surrounding Alabama U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore.

According to a search of the television database TV Eyes, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC have given zero on-air coverage to Alcon’s arrest. The networks have also not published any stories about Alcon’s scandal on their websites in the past week.

Meanwhile, ABC, CBS, and NBC spent more than 79 minutes talking about Roy Moore between November 9 and November 13.

No ABC, No NBC, No CBS, No CNN, No PBS no Twitter Outrage and Certainly no Gloria Aldred

So let’s get this straight, 35 year old accusations against a GOP candidate for an open seat in the congress generally held by the GOP , are newsworthy to the point where there is a national feeding frenzy even though there has not been a single charge filed and said candidate strenuously denies said charges.

Yet the actual arrest of a Democrat Candidate for an open seat in the congress, generally held by Democrats are, even one of a large field, is so unnewsworthy that no major media outlet is touching the story even with A current charge, a victim who has made a police report and an actual arrest. And this is the case in a news environment where such charges are on the tip of everyone’s tongue.

Nope doesn’t matter, it doesn’t fit the MSM template so no media, no social media and certainly no Gloria Aldred.

People have wondered aloud why I haven’t yet joined the MSM/Left bandwagon against Moore. Me I still wonder why people are so quick to give credence to the MSM given this double standard right looking us right in the face.

Now I’ll stipulate for the record that if Roy Moore is lying that he should be out, even if it risks handing a senate seat to the party of Harvey Weinstein/Bill Clinton Democrat for a time.

But I’d be must more inclined to believe that there is some THERE there is at least one of these women were willing to go to a police station, file a complaint and make their charges under pain of perjury, after all if Moore is guilty of crimes he needs to be actually charged and prosecuted.

At least at that point the charges against Moore would have reached the David Alcon standard.

Closing thought #1: If Moore drops out of this race I predict that despite claims that he is a serial violator of women not a single charge will be filed, not a single lawsuit will be launched and none of the people currently virtue signaling on TV Radio or twitter will be the least bit disturbed that they find not being a US senator an acceptable punishment for a serial abuser of women and children.

Update: Sacred Feces!

Other than our dialogue on stage, I never had a voluntary conversation with Al Franken again. I avoided him as much as possible and made sure I was never alone with him again for the rest of the tour.

Franken repaid me with petty insults, including drawing devil horns on at least one of the headshots I was autographing for the troops.

But he didn’t stop there.

The tour wrapped and on Christmas Eve we began the 36-hour trip home to L.A. After 2 weeks of grueling travel and performing I was exhausted. When our C-17 cargo plane took off from Afghanistan I immediately fell asleep, even though I was still wearing my flak vest and Kevlar helmet.

It wasn’t until I was back in the US and looking through the CD of photos we were given by the photographer that I saw this one:

Paging Gloria Aldred? MSM liberals, Twitter Lynch Mob? Anyone of the Democrat liberals who have been breathlessly demanding I denounce Roy Moore?

So lets get this straight 30+ year old accusations vs Roy Moore mean he should pull out of his senate race but we have photographic evidence of Al Frankin doing this against a woman’s will and he remains a sitting Senator?

I guess Glenn Reynolds was right:

Based on what we know so far, what percentile of awfulness in the Senate would Roy Moore be? Would he be 99th Percentile — making him the worst person in the Senate? Seems doubtful given that there’s a secret slush fund paying victims of Congressional harassment already. He can’t compare to such past lions as Ted Kennedy or Robert Packwood, and it seems likely that there are other, current ones that we just haven’t hear about. So say he’s at the 90th percentile. That means there are 10 sitting Senators worse than him. How exercised should I be about the prospect of him joining them? And maybe he’s only, say, 75th percentile!

Jonathan Adler makes a persuasive case that Moore is a constitutional illiterate, but it’s not like that would set Moore apart much in the World’s Greatest Deliberative Body.

The truth is, the Senate is just awful — and the House is no better — because it’s full of politicians. The real travesty here isn’t that we might send another clown to join the clown show. It’s that the clown show has so much power, and so little accountability, when it’s doing things that are a lot more serious than groping.

And no, this isn’t good, it’s terrible. It’s more evidence of our decline. And I feel bad for having to point it out, again.

And that was written before the Frankin story broke.

Update 2:  In fairness to Frankin vs Moore, the Moore allegations are from a pre-digital camera/cell phone era so I’ll be happy to settle for at least one complaint formally filed to meet the David Alcon standard.

Update 3:  Daily Kos AL-Sen: Sen. Al Franken (D. MN) Gives Doug Jones’ (D) Campaign A Boost In Beating Roy Moore (R)

Sorry for missing this but I received this e-mail yesterday from U.S. Senator Al Franken (D. MN) in support of Doug Jones’ (D. AL) U.S. Senate campaign:

There is one race for U.S. Senate going on in 2017 — the Alabama special election to replace Jeff Sessions.

That means we have exactly one chance left this year to elect someone who will fight to preserve access to affordable, quality health care.

Someone who believes in science and protecting our environment.

Someone who will fight for middle class families.

That someone is Doug Jones — and he needs our support.

I think the latest Roy Moore ad should be someone reading this endorsement

Update 4:  Al Frankin is on the Senate Floor both apologizing and saying it was a joke.  While CNN seems to be backing him up Moveon.org of all folks are having none of it:

The real irony? Moveon was formed to “Move on” from the sexual charges against Bill Clinton

Oh and praise for ABC Reporter Miriam Kahn who is asking Dem senators on Capital Hill about Frankin

Her timeline is full of this, she must not have gotten the memo that you never ask Democrats about things that can hurt the party.

There is an angle concerning the Roy Moore case that nobody is talking about and that’s the Theological Aspect.

One of the things we are hearing from the Harvey Weinstein left and the Bill Clinton defending media concerning Moore is the hypocrisy of a person who is associated with Christianity in general and the Ten Commandments doing horrible things and then lying about them. How can he do this?

While that statement is rife with irony given that less that 20 months ago they were trying to return Bill Clinton to the White House and worshiping Harvey Weinstein was a God it’s not a bad theological point and deserves an answer, particularly if they actually believe Moore is lying and aren’t looking for a non-democrat to join the ranks of the exposed.

So for the sake of the theological point I’m about to make and to answer the question asked, let’s presume that despite the Harvey Weinstein left and the prevaricating media, that spent decades defending the Clintons and hiding the actions of the predators of the Hollywood and political left, are actually in this case correct about both Moore’s past actions and him lying about them today. If this is in fact the left’s Anders Breivik in terms of sexual harassment how and why would a presumably God-fearing man be so willing to tell such a blatant lie about past since rather than simply admit bad behavior in his younger days that he has gone beyond?

Well assuming that the “God-fearing” part isn’t an act the answer may come from Protestant concept of One Saved Always Saved.

Under this theory, because, as all Christians believe, Jesus Christ died for the sins of all mankind, past present and future (which is how Christ opened the gates of heaven for the righteous who died before he was crucified) once you accept Christ as your savior all your sins, past present and future are forgiven.

Thus if Roy Moore belongs to a denomination that subscribes to this once saved always saved concept (not all Protestant Denominations do) then Moore has no fear of losing heaven by lying past sins or even committing new ones because even a sin of prevarication being committed for the sake personal advancement would already be forgiven, covered by the blood of Christ and of no risk to his eternal salvation. Christ has done the heavy lifting so he can coast.

If Roy Moore was a Catholic of course he wouldn’t have this dodge. The Catholic Church has consistently taught for two thousand years that this is nonsense. Saint Paul himself talks about running the race to keep himself from being disqualified ( 1 Cor 9:2-27) and St John talks about sin that leads to death (1 John 5:16-17), we Catholics call such sins Mortal sins.

For a sin to be Mortal Sin it has to be a question of a grave matter, done deliberately with full understanding that it was wrong.

Furthermore to a Catholic in this case there would be two mortal sins here, the sin of the lie itself and the sin of presumption, that is, committing a mortal sin in anticipation of confessing said sin to be absolved of it.

This is important because for a person to be absolved of sin, they have to have contrition for that sin, either perfect contrition, meaning you hate the sin because of the love of God, or imperfect contrition, meaning you hate the sin because of their fear of damnation (imperfect contrition requires sacramental confession.) If a person is committing a sin with the intention of confessing it after the fact demonstrates a lack of the necessary contrition for forgiveness. After all Jesus himself taught that not all who cry Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matt 7:21-23).

Now again we don’t know if Roy Moore is telling the truth or lying, and as of this writing I’m still giving him the benefit of he doubt but if he IS lying and figuring it is no big deal because it’s covered by the blood of Christ, believe he has a lot more to worry about than the potential of losing a senate seat.

Closing thought. If he is lying now but later confesses and repents, as Christians we are obliged if asked to forgive the sin. We aren’t however obliged to support his election.

Peter:  Edmund said they were only pretending.
Professor:  And he’s the more truthful one is he?
Peter:  No, this would be the first time.

The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe 2005

Over the last several days we have seen many prominent republicans from Mitt Romney and John McCain who represent the establishment wing of the party, to Jonah Goldberg who represents the intellectual wing of the party, to the Twitchy site which while not calling explicitly for Roy Moore to pull out has been very hard on any who defend him.

Now Romney and McCain are very familiar with the tactics of the MSM/left having had the “Binders of women” ,and animal cruelty BS tossed at him while McCain saw a phony scandal concerning his wife be highlighted by the left MSM.

Jonah Goldberg literally wrote the book on liberal fascism (It’s a great book btw you should buy it) and twitchy literally gives examples the MSM/Left acting dishonest and dishonorable seven days a week.

So all three have a well established first hand personal familiarity of the mendacity and spin of the MSM that all of us have spoken or talked about for years.

Now I have nothing against people following their gut feelings on any matter but given our media friends history I have a question:

Can you please explain to me why given that the choice for us is to give the benefit of the doubt to a MSM/left which as Kurt Schlichter reminds us yet again:

So, let’s review. We’re supposed to demand laws that make it illegal for human suppositories like this to have guns, even though it was already illegal for him to have guns. We’re supposed to rely on government background checks to protect us even though the government keeps failing at that. We’re also supposed to disarm at the behest of people who know literally nothing about guns or existing gun laws. And we’re supposed to not believe that we have the ability to defend ourselves, even though normal Americans do so every day – here, an instructor from the NRA literally ended this bloodbath. But we should ignore that for reasons and because.

But wait, there’s more. We’re supposed to disarm in the face of people who celebrate when we are murdered. The Hollywood types, taking a break from molesting each other, didn’t exactly celebrate our deaths, but they couldn’t help spewing their hatred for our faith. I bet if we were disarmed, and a government controlled by liberals had a total monopoly on force, they’d be totally cool and respect our religious rights. I checked with Chet and he thinks so – it’s not like right now they want to bankrupt people for not baking cakes.

has a long history of demonstrated bad faith in terms of honesty, integrity and acting as, in the words of Glenn Reynolds “Democrats with bylines”

OR

to Judge Roy Moore who has not only failed to show bad faith in the past, but, despite having been a target of liberal an media ire (unlike say Denny Hastert who was the poster boy for a non-controversial don’t rock the MSM/establishment Bush Republican) for many many years without any such cards played against him by a media/left that would have loved to take him down.

why you apparently find it the choice so much more difficult than I?

And before you point to the Hannity interview (which in fairness I haven’t seen or heard as I do have a life) or Lee distancing themselves or even a gut feeling that I’ve already noted I’ll respect, remember this, the very same media that is right now insisting that Moore drop out or be dropped will have no problem supporting Joe (fingers) Biden for president in 2020.

I’ll close with this.  One of the common bonds of what we’ve seen out of the stories that are finally breaking out after the left and media protected Harvey Weinstein et/al for years has been this.  As soon as the story actually breaks suddenly we discover “Everybody knew”.  This has been true from Cosby, to Weinstein to Spacey which is why the media so desperately NEEDS the Roy Moore to be a predator.

Now while in fairness dating people of age in search of a wife (in Alabama the age of consent for marriage with parental permission and minus a judge’s ruling is 14 tied with Utah and Rhode Island for the 5th youngest explicit age in the country behind my state of Massachusetts & Kansas [12] , and Texas & New Hampshire [13] all of which shocked the hell out of me) doesn’t come close to comparing to drugging women and assaulting them, or blackmailing folks for jobs, or assaulting and raping people on or off the set I submit and suggest that folks in Alabama, where he has been a very public figure for decades, just might have over the decades years heard some talk along those lines concerning the Judge if such things had been going on.

That being the case I’m going to leave the judgement if Moore is a predator or spinning to avoid the ICK factor from what would have been an apparently legal (but still ICKY) relationship,  or if an MSM trying to bring him down having nothing better than ICK of dating em young spin decided to throw in a 14 year old to do this trick, to the voters of Alabama are going to be a far better able to judge than any pundit including me if there is any there there.

Update:  Don Surber reminds us of the steller record of the Washington Post on honesty from Nov of last year to this Feb:

Three major fabrications in three months time.
Sadly, not a new world’s record.
When you don’t punish reporters for Fake News, you get even more Fake News.
Which is why I am not convinced the Washington Post is not making this up.
Trust but verify?
Distrust and wait for an independent verification from a reliable source.
Like the freaking Rolling Stone.

He’s also right about his btw

If Roy Moore committed statutory rape, then he does not belong in the Senate.

Update 2: Now you know what the MSM/Establishment is on a full court press to get Moore to drop out:

During a segment that aired on Friday’s broadcast of Birmingham, AL ABC affiliate WBMA 33/40’s 5 p.m. local news, political reporter Lauren Walsh sought out voters in Columbiana, AL to gauge their reactions to the Washington Post report that alleged Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Roy Moore engaged in inappropriate conduct with four teenage girls more than 34 years ago.

None of the respondents according to Walsh told her they believed the Post’s reporting.

The people of Alabama are not fools

I normally focus on Latin American news, but two stories have prominently popped up in my news feed during the last couple of days: the Roy Moore sex accusations, and the Trump-didn’t-take questions-in-China tale.

The Roy Moore story (or as Scott Johnson calls it, The Moore miasma) is astonishing, not the least because of the timing. Moore had been suspended twice from the state’s Supreme Court: the first in 2001 for refusing to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments from the Alabama Judicial Building, the second in 2016 for directing probate judges to continue to enforce the state’s ban on same-sex marriage. It defies belief that the accusers would not have felt they could come out and expose events that took place nearly four decades ago only until a couple of weeks before this upcoming election.

I do not know if Moore is guilty. I do not know if or how the allegations could be proven or disproven. But no matter the facts, I expect this story to remain prominently in the top headlines for a while, especially if Moore wins.

The media will pick and choose.

As it did, for instance, with the Trump-didn’t-take questions-in-China story: Pres. Trump did not take questions from the media after a press conference. Streiff describes the media outrage,

CNN, naturally, ran a story in which they claimed that Trump broke from decades of tradition by participating in a news conference with a Chinese president in which there were no questions.

A few hours later, this, from a CNN article:

CORRECTION: This story has been updated to reflect neither Trump nor President Barack Obama took questions alongside his Chinese counterpart during their first visit to the country. A previous version misstated that Obama had.

By then,

https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

Streiff, again,

So you can have your journalistic hit job and claim the moral high ground by tweeting and publishing a correction no one will read.

And then it’ll happen again.

JD sums it up:

What concerns me is the intellectual dishonesty and blatant manipulation these news outlets embrace.

That is what I keep in mind every time I read any news at all.

Fausta Rodríguez Wertz writes on U. S. and Latin America at Fausta’s blog

Steve Bannon in Manchester 11-10-17

Last night I covered Steve Bannon’s speech at the 603 Alliance fundraiser in Manchester NH.

Because I got home a little late my post on the subject, including video of speeches by Bannon and Corey Lewindowski and some interviews (including an exclusive with Corey) will go up tomorrow but there was one thing that  was newsworthy enough that I thought it worth getting up now.

Our friend JD Rucker has some suspicion concerning the Roy Moore story and so do I.  Given Moore’s long history as a person despised by the left it seems odd to me that something like the Post story would have waited until just before this particular election to break given that the same media has been looking for something to bring him down for more than a decade.  It reminded me very much of the Billy Bush tape and Trump during his campaign.

It appears blogging minds think alike because in the middle of his speech Steve addressed the very same thing and gave it some needed perspective. I’ve excerpted that part of the speech here (I apologize for the brief video blur in the middle as the camera readjusted focus)

My gut feeling is the same as Steve’s and based on Moore’s response on twitter he plans on taking a page from the Trump book, ignoring the national MSM pile on and just keep fighting, particularly against a media that is highly trusted by the voters in Alabama.

While I can’t speak for the establishment GOP there is one thing that seems pretty clear, the days of non-establishment GOP members wilting or backing down from the MSM without a fight appear to be over. Or to paraphrase myself. they’re not going to let themselves be played.

That is a seminal change, which is why I believe the MSM/Establishment will now go all out in Alabama, because if Moore ignores the attack, fights back and wins the example that will set for other candidates and the damage to the media as the left’s attack dogs will be incalculable.

(Reminder Steve’s full speech short 25 seconds when camera #1’s battery died and I went to camera 2 will be up tomorrow)

Update I’ll be including this in my post on the event as well but here is an exclusive interview with him after the Bannon speech where he touches on the subject as well

He’s putting the reason why we shouldn’t trust these guys rather diplomatically don’t you think?

When the story broke an hour ago that Roy Moore was being accused by multiple women of inappropriate sexual behavior when they were underage teens, I thought, “uh oh.” Then, I saw the source: Washington Post. A short wave of relief came over me before the real dread of our current situation took hold.

I don’t trust the Washington Post. They are among the worst journalistic predators in the country in that they claim to be the beacon of truth while constantly spinning facts to match their liberally approved narratives. They adamantly protest accusations of being biased while demonstrating pure and unadulterated bias with every political story they post. What’s worse is that they have, for several years now, allowed their “news” stories to be editorialized. They are a propaganda machine. They should not be trusted.

That’s the problem. I have no idea whether or not Roy Moore did what they claim. As Breitbart points out, it’s conspicuous that the story broke shortly after the paper endorsed his opponent. That SHOULD shine a light of skepticism on the story altogether, but it won’t. Most Americans, even the ones who acknowledge there’s plenty of fake news out there, willfully stick their heads in the sand when it comes to the “respected” publications of old like WaPo, USA Today, and the New York Times.

I’m not against editorializing. I’m doing it right now. What concerns me is the intellectual dishonesty and blatant manipulation these news outlets embrace. They are not unbiased. I’m biased and readily admit it. Most if not all writers on this publications are equally biased and in no way attempt to hide that fact from our readers. WaPo does. Their facade of journalistic integrity means that stories like the Roy Moore blockbuster will do major damage whether it’s true or not. In general, Americans do not put on the glasses of skepticism when WaPo publishes something.

The left won’t believe RedState or Daily Caller. The right won’t believe Slate or Salon. Both are workable dynamics because there’s no illusion attempted by these publications. They’re biased and proud of it. WaPo perpetuates an illusion if journalistic integrity. By doing so, they have far too much power in wielding the “truth” even if it’s spun in the direction they want.

These reports are so old that there’s very little chance they can be proven. Unfortunately, there’s also very little chance they can be properly refuted. That’s the power of the “unbiased” mainstream media. They can cast shadows of doubt in any direction they choose based upon their bias. They can choose to print allegations about Moore. They can choose to ignore allegations about Barack Obama. When a major media outlet is biased while claiming otherwise, we’re left with deciding which truth to believe.

Update DTG: Steve Bannon in a speech in NH and Corey Lewandowski in an exclusive DTG interview weigh in plus Instalanche Thanks Ed
