The Dogs of the Left are Still not Barking

The incest taboo can be destroyed only by destroying the nuclear family as the primary institution of the culture. The nuclear family is the school of values in a sexist, sexually repressed society.

Over the next few years you are going to be branded as bigots, hated and derided. You will be portrayed in every form of culture, plays, TV series and movies as people to be shunned and no member of the media fill fail to come after you for your offenses against the twin sacraments of Abortion & Gay Marriage.

DaTechGuy March 29th 2013

One of the most telling pieces I ever read came from Dave Weigel a few years ago:

Above, you’ll find a short video composed of the floor speeches some top Democrats made about SSM. At the time, Republicans wanted to block gay marriage in Massachusetts by amending the constitution with an official marriage definition. Democrats argued against that, but they didn’t argue in favor of gay marriage. They argued that DOMA made such an amendment unneccessary. They assured people like Rick Santorum that the slippery slope case for gay marriage was bogus.

The new Democratic advocates for SSM fall into two camps. The first consists of people who always liked the idea of this but worried about losing national elections. In his memoir, Democratic consultant Bob Shrum remembers John Kerry fretting that the Massachusetts Supreme Court had forced Democrats to talk about gay marriage before they were ready to. “Why couldn’t they just wait a year?” he asked Shrum, mournfully. The second camp consists of people who really do oppose the idea of gay people getting married. Republicans argued that this second camp was tiny, and that liberals were hiding behind it. They were right!

Now of course many of these same people are happy to argue that a person who thinks otherwise doesn’t deserve a job either as a fire chief or a tenured professor.

The ICK factor is moving, as I said seven years ago:

The Gay marriage movement has all the trimmings of both a pop fad and a political movement by a loud group of elite people with money and clout; no different than the eugenics movements in the last century. I suspect beyond the core set of true believers the support is actually very thin. It is what the “enlightened” and “right” type of people support to show how good and tolerant they are. It allows people to feel good about themselves without actually doing anything. It keep them safe from that most dreaded charge of bigotry. In short it is an exercise in narcissism.

This is why, in my opinion so much effort is being made to compel compliance because without such compulsion it will simply melt away.

But that’s not what I’m here to write about.

Three years ago a piece in Gawker defended those who desire sex with children, I noted how the argument mirrored those that were being made on gay marriage a few years back and said:

if I was a supporter of Gay Marriage with even the slightest knowledge of the history of the Gay Movement and I read the arguments in the Gawker article (you can almost hear the cry of “Bigot” to those would disagree with the author) I wouldn’t just be insulted, I’d be furious.

However no such argument came and the march of the ICK factor continued on unabated from teachers arguing for sex with students for the NYT just a few months back arguing for Pedophelia as a disorder and ending the exclusion of such people from the Americans with disability act

And even with the potential of a story involving the Royal family, Bill Clinton and underage girls,  the MSM hasn’t gone 24/7 on it as they did with Chris Christie and the closing of an exit off a highway.

What does all of this come down to?  Just this.

I submit and suggest that the lack of outrage here, just like in the Roman Polanski case, the Woody Allen case is because the media is quite aware of the scope of this within the ranks of the rich and powerful who support them with their campaign contribution and will stay as silent as possible.

And I further suggest that this is the same reason why, as Stacy McCain noted, Non Christian Clergy

The liberal media generally ignore sex scandals unless they involve a Republican politician or a Catholic priest, so maybe you didn’t hear about Mohammad Abdullah Saleem, the Illinois imam who allegedly perpetrated “decades of assault and child sex abuse . . . within the community of Indian and Pakistani Muslim immigrants.”

Not only will our liberal media and democrats ignore these things I further predict that the same Democrats and liberals who pretended to be upset at the very idea that they supported Gay Marriage in 1995 will as soon as the culture allow will find creative and seemingly plausible reasons to argue for a change in how such cases are handled by the law, particularly if they get a chance to move the courts farther in that direction with another 4 to eight years in the White House.   Baring accident or infirmity I’m going to live to see this happen.

This prediction is going to insult a lot of people, but given the history of the last 30 years I can’t see how any rational person can conclude otherwise.

On the bright side If I live to see 90 I predict I’ll see all of this fall apart just as the eugenics movement died after a generation or two, and once this happens suddenly we’ll be told by those same people who led the charge that they were with us all the time.

Remember these words from eject eject eject

You see, I know something critical about this iceberg out in front of us, and that is this: that iceberg is hollow. It’s hollow.

Even the people who believe in it most strongly know it’s a lie. That’s why they have to lie to you about what they believe. They know, in their heart of hearts, that this philosophy has been the ruin of civilization in every one of the countless times it has been applied. They know – consciously or not – that in the last century alone their ideas have cost the lives of no less than 150 million people executed, or starved to death, to bring this paradise to earth.

Venezuela: Criminalizing dissent

As the Communist dictatorship in Venezuela sinks the economy into further chaos, it resorts to criminalizing dissent.

The latest victim is Caracas mayor Antonio Ledezma, who yesterday was arrested and dragged out of office ‘like a dog’ by the police. He was arrested without a warrant, amid accusations of a coup attempt:

Mr Ledezma was on a list of people and foreign powers named by Mr Maduro last week as attempting to bring down his administration.

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the start of last year’s anti-government street protests that lasted several weeks and resulted in more than 40 deaths. Several other mayors and former mayors were imprisoned then, including former Chacao mayor Leopoldo Lopez, who has been in jail for exactly a year and is currently on trial.

Caracas Chronicles has Twitter photos and videos of the arrest, and summarizes the situation,

Chavismo thrives in conflict. Right now they need it to appear strong before their supporters, and to divert everyone else’s attention

from the pressing economic problems, ahead of this year’s congressional elections.

What does this matter to us?

It matters because the trend is towards elected dictatorships: countries where a regime ascends to power through an initial free election, after which it ceases to protect the rule of law, due process, and political pluralism – political systems inimical to America’s stance on democracy.

Another reason it matters is that the U.S. has agreed to give into the Communist dictatorship in Cuba “for nothing in return,” the Caracas mayor’s arrest has all the hallmarks of the Cuban playbook:

Maduro revealed that he had been in Cuba during the Carnival break, suggesting that this strategy was cooked up there. The strategy is likely to be to create protests, intimidate and at the same time distract the population from the numerous economic problems the country has. This is a typical strategy by Chavismo of becoming aggressive whenever its popularity goes down, looking to show that the President (Chávez then, Maduro now) is in charge and deserves the support of its sympathizers.

The concern is that what the Government wants to do is minimize the leadership of the opposition ahead of the Parliamentary elections.

While we are subjected to displays of egregious incompetence by State Department spokespersons, it is clear that our current administration prefers to turn a blind eye to developments affecting the political landscape in our hemisphere.

After Secretary of State John Kerry’s declaration that the Monroe Doctrine is over, we’re only starting to see just what that means.

Rudy Channels Joe Wilson

So off went the Emperor in procession under his splendid canopy. Everyone in the streets and the windows said, “Oh, how fine are the Emperor’s new clothes! Don’t they fit him to perfection? And see his long train!” Nobody would confess that he couldn’t see anything, for that would prove him either unfit for his position, or a fool. No costume the Emperor had worn before was ever such a complete success.

“But he hasn’t got anything on,” a little child said.

“Did you ever hear such innocent prattle?” said its father. And one person whispered to another what the child had said, “He hasn’t anything on. A child says he hasn’t anything on.”

“But he hasn’t got anything on!” the whole town cried out at last.

Hans Christian Anderson The Emperor’s New Clothes 1837

A lot of people are getting really upset about Rudy’s words concerning Barack Obama love of America or lack thereof.

Rather than a long post on the subject let me point out something.

Six Years ago during a 2009 speech when the president said that illegal immigrants would not be covered by Obamacare he A congressman by the name of Joe Wilson shouted:  “You Lie!”

It was something a lot of people were thinking and while he apologized for being indiscreet, history proved his words to be completely true.

By an odd coincidence the same people who were the most outraged by Representative Wilson’s words expressed aloud are the same folks who are completely beside themselves over Rudy’s remarks

Make of this what you will.

Update:

Ok let’s make the assumption for a second that Rudy Giuliani was wrong, if that’s the case answer me this:

If what way would a hypothetical America hating president actions and polices be different that the actions of Barack Obama?

Take your time.
