…don’t watch the Today show segments (well reviewed by Brian Preston) but watch this segment on Morning Joe right after Donnie Deutsch comes over from the Today set to talk about meeting Palin for the first time.
Now I’ve met Mika, she has a lot in common with Palin, she is smart, beautiful, strong and a very concerned mother, but I’ve got to tell you, she carried herself there like a jealous prom queen.
Why the hostility? I think the explanation comes from the movie the Natural

It would appear that Mika was jealous. It must have been supremely annoying for her that the (liberal) men were gushing over a good-looking, charismatic, conservative woman, while ignoring her.

Congrats on your first year, great take on these matters.
I enjoy watching the leftist elites on morning joe, their preening and posturing make the crumbling narratives all the more enjoyable. When reality intrudes upon their shining happy world, even the two old lushes try and bring Tsaress Mika to reality. To no avail, another prima dona olbermann type. I so adore it when she cluck clucks ol Joe and Mikes ribald, lurid takes on life. Comedy gold enues whenever a grown-up comes along to challenge and correst them.
Watching Mika’s reaction was priceless. She is simply clueless. The only reason she has a job on a network very few watch is because of her daddy’s name. Back when she was at CBS she was definitely a third string talent being given the opportunity to occasionally host the Saturday morning network show. After seeing some stories about her book and how she claims to have been taken advantage of in her salary negotiations at MSNBC all I can say, in spite of what Donny Deutsch said in his shameless plug of Mika’s book, I would give my daughter Sarah Palin’s biography if I wanted my daughter to succeed and not be a victim.
Dan I have to disagree on Mika, she is actually a smart person and at personal appearances is invariably considerate with fans and gives a ton of time to them. I think the real clash with Palin is the “elite” vs homespun, I suspect they are much more alike that Mika would care to admit.
Joe Scarborough has a mother? Who knew? She must be so proud. Is this really what passes for intelligent conversation on MSNBC? I thought at first I was watching the View. I like how they laugh off the possibility of Game Change being total fiction; it wasn’t that the author lied and fabricated, he just took at face value the lies and fabrications of vindictive sleazebags like Schmidt and Wallace. If anyone ever hires those two for a campaign ever again, that candidate is immediately suspect. This is also why my personal feelings of John McCain are at an all-time low. It’s bad enough that his political leanings are less than coherent, but his character and integrity are suspect as well after allowing the nonsense that went on in his campaign. I don’t care what he did 45 years ago, he is no longer an honorable man. People change, and not always for the better. And being in Congress for half your life doesn’t help either.
Well it was difficult to sit and watch the way Mika was dealing with the panel speaking about Sarah Palin. I cannot imagine any thing she would produce that could be beneficial to women when I witnessed this behavior.
I do not watch MSNBC, and cannot imagine how women could connect with Mika, as I can take this to any subject she disagrees with. She would sour anything with her bitter, condescending attitude.

I think you are overestimating Mika!
I used to enjoy Mika.
These days, more often than not, she comes across as an airhead.
I think Palin would mop the floor with Mika in a debate.
